A list of puns related to "Commonwealth Paraplegic Games"
My brother and dad and I have tickets to the CANMNT v Mexico game this evening, and the forecastedΓ³o temperatures are down to 9 below. I can dress for the weather, but haven't done so staying stationary for sop long. LLP
How do we avoid literally freezing our butts off???
Apparently we can bring blankets- what's a goodΓΊ option? A sleeping bag? Are we doomed to be uncomfortable or is there a chance at getting cozy?
Edit: thanks for the abundance of helpful advice! We dressed in layers, used the chemical heat packs in our gloves and boots, and only mild issue was coldish toes. The insulated seat cushions were especially clutch!
I'm replaying Fallout 4 and I recently did Blind Betrayal, and during that conversation between Maxon and Danse, I had an epiphany: Maxon, and by extension the entire BoS, do not care about whether a synth is sentient and free thinking or not. They only care about whether they can control it, and because the BoS cannot fully control a synth, they and the Institute must be destroyed.
The foundational ideas of the BoS are 1) The bombs fell because people abused their technological prowess, and 2) To avoid future destruction, the BoS should withhold technology from the common people and hold onto it as guardians of technology. These two ideas lead to quite startling conclusions which are vastly different from what they claim.
1: Technological Abuse
The BoS's claim of tech abuse falls flat upon any examination of pre-war society. Yes humanity overused resources, but destructive weapons such as nukes were not available to the average Joe, but instead the governments in charge. Their abuse of resources and manufacturing of tensions and eventually war, was what led humanity to the apocalypse, not the people's use. The BoS takes this misreading of the fact and concludes that technology must be withheld from people at all costs, leading to point two.
2: Technology Hoarding
The BoS's solution to avert a future second apocalypse is to hoard any and all powerful technology that could be weaponized, and place it in their hands. First, they were not elected, so why should they be in charge? But the implications of such thought and actions are what lead me to believe that the BoS is the worst faction in F4. Were a wasteland scientist or a team of scientists to develop something significantly powerful, the BoS would then seek them out and offer this deal: "Join us and we can help your research, or we confiscate it and any resistance will be met with force." After all commoners can't have technology, so the BoS will use force to take technology, albeit as a last resort. After this exchange happens a few times, people will take notice and learn that you either join the BoS, or any tech you develop is not to be shared and done in secret. Not sharing this tech, whether it be from wastelanders or the BoS, perpetuates and possibly worsens the technological stagnation we see in F4. This perpetuates and possibly worsens the technological stagnation seen in the wasteland. And the BoS understand that in a world mostly devoid of high tech, having as much tech as possible give

OK so you have to join the brother hood, play through so that you kill the railroad and destroy the institute. later it is possible to get the minutemen quest "with out powers combined", which will make you hostile to the brother hood. now that the minutemen are the only faction, go too nuka world and join the raiders and take over the commonwealth with them. make Preston hate you and kill all minute men. after this, take the quest open season and kill all of the raiders. now you have successfully destroyed all factions in this game and you now have an independent commonwealth.
Government telling everyone to stay off the roads over the next week, reminded me of exactly the same thing this time 2 years ago.
Which worked better?
My god this is cringe
Hello wanderers!
Just seeing what you would all like to see in FO5. Personally I would like to explore an entire Commonwealth, the South East to be exact. There, you would have Atlanta and Charleston which would be cool to explore.
Beyond the Institute. It seems that you get to see two different sides of the BoS depending on your choices early in game. On one hand, they can treat you like family, and all you hear about is how they plan to save the Commonwealth and how happy they are that thereβs life in the Commonwealth. On the other hand, they can treat you like a dead dog if you donβt partner up with them early on. This leaves questions about what exactly their motives are.
The dichotomy continues with higher ranking officers. Maxon makes sentimental gestures that he cares about the people of the Commonwealth, and Paladin Danse instructs the SS to be very careful not to hurt civilians because they hope to win over the hearts and minds of the people to the BoS ideology. You would think there would be some type of outreach or public relations ops to places like Diamond City, and BoS soldiers mention having leave to visit DC, but you never see them. Instead, high ranking scribes instruct you to shake down farmers and praise the callous and manipulative use of civilian forces to accomplish the BoSβ ends.
So, outside of gameplay or development restrictions, what does the Commonwealth look like after they defeat the Institute? Who do they wage war on next? What kind of tech do they pursue? Do they have designs on rebuilding a proper government or restoring pre-war ways of life? Paladin Danse mentions itβs a shame that people in DC are hiding in an old stadium when perfectly good buildings are outside, as if people in the CW arenβt hiding next to a giant Megaton bomb anymore back home, but life has progressed.
I think the BoS has good intentions, but thereβs some bad characters in the mix that might sour what the Brotherhood was supposed to stand for.
