A list of puns related to "Chimera (mythology)"
Feel free to use this idea.
The Chimera is usually depicted as a lion, with the head of a goat protruding from its back, and a tail that ends with a snake's head. Β Youβre a composite of various organisms. Β In this game, you have the ability to acquire DNA from any species, including humans, and shapeshift into any organism in your genome, and can manifest up to three species at a time. You start off as having the combined form of a lion, goat, and snake:Β http://pm1.narvii.com/6138/f2af2e4a41440b206db0fa34b0e46843a544c4f2_00.jpg
Your game begins when you were βkilledβ by Bellerophon (an ancient Greek warrior). Β Of course, you really werenβt dead, or it would be a very short game. After going into a cocoon of sorts, you re-emerge fully healed. Β The game begins in the year 700 BC, and ends in the year 4000 AD.
Your mission is to travel the world, incorporate as much DNA from as many species as possible into your genome, and survive to the year 2100 AD, at which time humans and most life on Earth will go extinct from the destruction of the environment. Β After that, you will sleep in your lair for 900 years and awaken in the year 3000 AD. Β From there, you will have 1,000 years to use your genome to re-create extinct organisms and re-populate the Earth. Β Finally, you will spawn new humans, and then die.
Abilities: Β Your abilities are dependent on the organism(s) that are manifested in your physical form at a given time. Β For example, a lion form can bite and claw, a snake form has a poisonous bite, a horse form can run fast, etc. Β Synergies and combos are also possible, where the attributes of multiple species can work together. Β Your body can only exhibit three species at a time. To live amongst humans, itβs advised that you shift to a human form. Β To cross bodies of water, youβll need to shapeshift to a fish or some aquatic organism. Β You can become a bird and fly too.
Acquiring DNA: Before you can incorporate a speciesβ biology into your physical form, you need to acquire their DNA, which can only happen when you eat tissue from that organism. Β The game should present challenges in each part of the world that require fighting with enemies. Β Sometimes, these enemies will be human, and other times they will be animal. Β In other cases, your enemies will be monstrous aberrations.
Your lair: Β A long time ago, it was the Trojans that took you in and cared for you. These were the

The symbolic meaning of the Atomic Bomb used against Meruem
There is a symbolic meaning behind the Atomic Bomb used by Isaac Netero against Meruem at the end of their fight that is connected to the first Nuclear Test.
This test, conducted in 1945 and called the "Trinity Test", was of an implosion-design plutonium device (Atomic Bomb), informally nicknamed "The Gadget" projected by the physic Julius Robert Oppenheimer. The code name "Trinity" was assigned by Oppenheimer, the director of the Los Alamos Laboratory, inspired by the poetry "Holy Sonnet XIV: Batter My Heart, Three-Personed God" of the English poet John Donne. > PRNewswire/ - Family Research Council published a new issue brief publication today titled, "Human-Animal Chimeras." Human-animal chimeras are creatures created by combining genetic material from both animals and humans.
> As soon as researchers discovered how to keep human-animal chimeras alive beyond nine days in 2016, the NIH reviewed the 14-Day Rule, but kept it in place.
> This year, following the "Successful" 20-day development of a human-monkey chimera in vitro, the International Society for Stem Cell Research, an international ethics board, recommended that the 14-Day Rule be removed.
> Under President Biden, the NIH is once again reviewing the 14-Day Rule on human-animal chimeras with an eye toward repealing the restriction.
> "The Biden administration and the Democratic party's track record on life issues is anything but reassuring. This past month, Senator Mike Braun. introduced an amendment that would have prohibited the creation of human-animal chimeras. This amendment, which should have received overwhelming bipartisan support, failed with votes along party lines. Notably, Senator Bob Casey., who claims to be pro-life, voted against the ban."
> "Playing God by attempting to create a new creature that is half-human and half-animal is dangerous and should be unthinkable. We must pray that the Biden administration recognizes this and begins to implement federal research policies that are driven by morals and ethics rather than the fascination of scientists," concluded Szoch.

Pegasus was fathered by the great Greek horse god Poseidon himself. Chimera became the inspiration for solving one of the most complex medical problems of the modern times.

There's a new book on the bookshelf today called "The Sacred Beast," whose main character, among other things, is a mythical creature named Cory.
When the first spoilers hit the web, opinions were divided - who is this Beast of Legends? Chimera or Manticore? Today we can already definitely answer this question thanks to history, in which Cory is described by peasants as "A monster twice the height of an adult with sharp, poisonous teeth. But what is the difference between a manticore and a chimera?
A chimera is a monster of Greek mythology. The first mention of the chimera was made by Homer in Chapter 6 of The Iliad. He described it as a creature with the head of a lion, the torso of a goat and the tail of a snake.
Manticore is a monster with the body of a red lion (and that is what we see in our teddy bear), the head of a man (here bypassed, apparently, so as not to hurt anyone, it's not a pretty sight) and the tail of a scorpion (also there). The creature has a red mane, three rows of teeth, and bloodshot eyes. The manticore's tail ends in spikes, whose venom kills instantly. In modern times, representations of the manticore have begun to evolve. In Andrzej Sapkowski's books, the manticore acquired wings and learned to shoot its poisonous spines in any direction. And in J. Rowling's "Fantastic Beasts and Where They Live," the manticore "begins to purr softly after devouring its next victim.
The first mention of the manticore is found in the books of the Greek physician Ctesias, through whom many Persian myths became known to the Greeks.
The Greek Ctesias did not bring any legends about the manticore, limiting himself to general rumors of its existence. In Persian myths, it is mentioned that this terrible monster likes to riddle riddles when meeting a person, and if the traveler answers all of them, he lets go. Researchers are inclined to believe that the manticore, a man-eating monster, originated in the stories of India and then migrated to Persia, where the Greek Ctesias heard about it.

In Greek mythology, Cerberus, often referred to as the hound of Hades, is a multi-headed dog that guards the gates of the Underworld to prevent the dead from leaving.
He was the offspring of the monsters Echidna and Typhon, and was usually described as having three heads, a serpent for a tail, and snakes protruding from multiple parts of his body. Cerberus is primarily known for his capture byΒ Heracles, one of Heracles'Β twelve labours.
Descriptions of Cerberus vary, including the number of his heads. Cerberus was usually three-headed, though not always. Cerberus had several multi-headed relatives. His father was the multi-snake-headed Typhon, and Cerberus was the brother of three other multi-headed monsters, the multi-snake-headed Lernaean Hydra;Β Orthrus, the two-headed dog who guarded the Cattle ofΒ Geryon; and theΒ Chimera, who had three heads: that of a lion, a goat, and a snake.

Chinese culture has dragons (and academics are broadly in four camps on the theories on their origins). The Aztecs had Quetzalcoatl. The Greeks had the Chimera on which St George's more modern, extortionist dragon is based.
Is there a reason we've been able to put our finger on as to why diverse cultures in far flung places all seem to coincidentally regard big snakes, serpents, and not dissimilar mythical creatures like dragons to be rather powerful beings?
Currently re-watching the Chimera Ant arc and thought about what an alternate team of hunters could look like to take down Mereum, Pitou, Youpi, and Pouf. Now contextually it doesnβt make sense for anybody else to go, but Iβd be curious to know who your dream extermination team would be!
So, Manus is clearly Argus the guardian of Io who Zeus wanted for himself.
After killing Manus, Dusk (Io [means largest moon of jupiter]) is laying on the ground, crying.
It's stated that in order to free Io Zeus (Gwyn) had Hermes (Artorius since he is a God sized undead) and Autolycus ("the wolf itself" : name meaning aka Sif) is the son of Hermes (though He doesn't kill Argus with Hermes). Plus if you look at art of Manus and art of Argus they look similar. Also both Argus and Manus have many eyes.
Let's take our eyes away from Manus for a second and gaze into the abyss. Who dwells in the abyss? Why primordial serpents dwell in the abyss. In Greek mythology there is an important Titan that fought Zeus (Gwyn) named Typhon. Typhon created both the Hydra and the Chimera. Both of which guard Ancient Oolacile. Typhon is a "fire breathing dragon with one hundred heads that never slept" according to mythology. Hence the primordial serpents could in fact be linked to a Typhon like character who is trapped somewhere in the deep abyss trying to either beat Gwyn or make it seem as though rekindling the dying flame is a useless endeavor.
A description of Typhon reads :
"Strength was with his hands in all that he did and the feet of the strong god were untiring. From his shoulders grew a hundred heads of a snake, a fearful dragon, with dark, flickering tongues, and from under the brows of his eyes in his marvelous heads flashed fire, and fire burned from his heads as he glared. And there were voices in all his dreadful heads which uttered every kind of sound unspeakable; for at one time they made sounds such that the gods understood, but at another, the noise of a bull bellowing aloud in proud ungovernable fury; and at another, the sound of a lion, relentless of heart; and at another, sounds like whelps, wonderful to hear; and again, at another, he would hiss, so that the high mountains re-echoed.[14]"
So in a sense perhaps Manus isn't truly evil? Just corrupted by a Typhon like entity aka father of the monsters? I mean Dusk lays on the ground crying and whimpering over Manus' death.
Just a theory.
