A list of puns related to "Caucasian race"
I was told from my hispanic family that my grandmother - mother had African background but they believe itβs distance coming from Niagara.. when I did a dna test I have 5% Sub African and 2% comes from Niagara the rest comes from Cameroon, Congo & Western Bantu peoples and Senegal. I also have 1% North African but I donβt really count that in. I am 25% hispanic but overall my dna test shows Iβm 92% European. My great grandmother who had Niagara blood came off completely white fine features pale skin brown hair and eyes.
Now does this small percentage of African count or no? Am I just caucasian?
Someone said this to me. Do European, Middle Eastern and South Asian men go bald more often than black and Asian men? It does seem true now that someone said it to me. Anecdotally, I know of a few white guys who started balding in their late teens, I donβt know any black or Asian guys who started losing hair then.
Hello!
I'm wanting to give my in laws some reading material to prepare them and equip them for interactions with my biracial little girl. At present they are racist and have no other interactions with people of color.
Tia
The actual Caucasians, people of Caucasus, are more tanned, have more body and facial hair, and look more like Arabs rather than whites.
As a white myself Iβm allergic to a hell of a lot of stuff, as well as my family. But with people of other races they seem to not have as many allergies. Is like based on genes? Stigmatized? No clue
Examples:
Fyi, I'm not white. I'm just curious, it seems like a double standard
Iβm brainstorming for such a setting where the two exist and interested in what other people are doing/would do with the concept.
How have you handled this in applicable worlds youβve built? What do you think characters in such a world would do about/with it?
Are there, say, different terms for the two different types of racial classification.
For instance: Shadowrun uses the term "meta-type" for elf/orc/dwarf and race continues to refer to African/Asian/Caucasian.
Does one fall out of use?
For instance: all humans are considered one race.
Are the two conflated?
Come to think of it, unless there is something measurably different between elf/orc/dwarf race and African/Asian/Caucasian race why make the distinction?
My sister tried to set my brother up with one of her friend's sisters, with whom she believed would be a good match. The sister said "she doesn't date white people" because she wants "Indian babies."
Fair enough, everyone has preferences, but, it got me thinking if I say I want to have nice white babies, people would cringe. "That sounds pretty racist." "That's like the Nazis"
If I were any other race and spoke about keeping the race pure. Black, Han Chinese, Ashkenazi Jewish, no one bats an eye. I know it has a lot to do with the older generations but the fact it is still prevalent today scares me. My parents couldn't care less who I love and I wouldn't listen to them if they disapproved of my partner based solely on her race.
I mention this to my sister and she won't even have the discussion about their racism. Its as if she has blinders on. Cognitive Dissonance? I don't know.
Why is it like this?
Not Caucasians but white people, idk if there's a difference.
It certainly fits what we define as racism.
Racism definition - prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism by an individual, community, or institution against a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized.
In Western countries the majority of people vote against mass immigration again and again as the key issue but are practically unheard, nothing much is done to slow it even if parties claiming to listen to them get power. Caucasians (and the individual cultural/racial groups in their countries) are only a small minority in the world wanting to maintain their peoples is not racism, they are suffering extreme racism.
African/AA gets black, and Caucasian gets white, but why don't other races get referred to by their skin color on things such as surveys? Asian would be yellow, Indian or Middle Eastern, brown, Native American, red, etc.
Any particular reason for the lack of consistency?
Reason I bring it up, is because I have a black co-worker/friend that does this all the time, yet he got upset when someone referred to him in the same manner as βblack boyβ. Others and I quickly called him out on his hypocrisy. He was receptive and we moved on, but he told us this is a common mindset.
Just because someoneβs ancestors were racist, doesnβt give you the right to start putting down the descendants from those pricks, because then you become the asshole. Children are boys, adults are men, for the education of all races out there including my own(even though Iβm a Cherokee, often accused of being white European, I was here before all you bitchesπ).
Edit: To all those that say I donβt understand that oppression continues to this day: trust me, I get it. Iβm gay. Iβve been denied jobs and promotions just like any of you claim to have, but your families havenβt left you alone without telling you that they are going out to dinner, or stopped loving you. Homosexuals know oppression very well. I donβt even contact my parents anymore because they are racist/homophobic so I know oppression deeper than most, since it comes from even my own family. Not many other races can claim this type of exclusion from their own parents. There were times I wished myself dead, but now Iβm living a way better life than my racist parents did. Letβs agree to not insert meaning where itβs not here.
Edit 2: Can we stop with the fact that no modern racism equates to slavery. The sky is also fucking blue. None of you experienced slavery. Your ancestors(mostly dead now) did years ago. We are talking about the present, not the world your grandparents dwelled on and I never said this is any worse. Doesnβt mean itβs okay to act like a piece of shit to whites today.
Last edit: Seems a lot of you have a guilty conscience with this. Trying to justify this being offensive by using the hardship your slave ancestors experienced is just disgusting and you should be ashamed. Not responding to any more comments of this sort. None of you can even throw a quote from my OP about me even mentioning slavery because I never said it. Itβs all brought up in my edits, so youβre only putting words in other peoples mouths to make what youβre doing okay.
