A list of puns related to "Boerewors"
Hello!! I'm not sure if this is allowed so feel free to delete ( I'm not super reddit savvy).
Anyway I'm trying to surprise my SA boyfriend with some boerewors. I just received the package only to realize I have no fucking idea on what to do with it! I've only ever had an American knock off once from a fast food place, to me it was good, to him it was mediocre lol. I don't really trust Google because nothing gets good reviews and it looks nothing like what I've seen. So what do I put on it? How long should I grill it? Should I just let him do it and not risk ruining it?? I got both beef and pork mixed and just beef if that makes a difference. Any suggestions and or advice is greatly appreciated! Thank you :)
EDIT/ UPDATE. Thank you so much for all the advice and comments. I took the safest route and let Boyfriend do the braaiing. He was very surprised and excited. He rated them 6/10 so I consider it a win but I will continue to search for that 10/10.

Have a bulb mounting if necessary but not sure what bulb to go in
So.. I'm not sure I could manage a recipe and filling seems like it would be tricky but I can get good quality boerewors here.
Simple question I suppose, could I dry it and turn it into droewors?
All help welcome.
Thanks in advance.
Hello! I'm not from South Africa (from Southeast Asia, actually) but my wife and I want to explore the food. We're planning to have some Kameelhout and Sosatie this weekend and from my research this goes well with Pap (?). Any other food that goes well with these boerewors/sausages so we can prepare in advance? Thanks for all the help!
Edit: so it's pap, (potato?) salad, braaibroodjies, rolls and beer. What's it with you guys and carbs
So Iβm not coping without boerewors while in the US and am making plans to make my own. A bag of Crown/Ouma boerewors spice mix is on its way and Iβm wondering what cuts of meat to use. Hopefully I can convince the local butchery to grind whatever cuts I choose. Then I can spice the mince, let it marinate and shoot it into some hog casing. I have no idea what Iβm doing!! Any advice is welcome!!
π Thanks guys!!!
The title says it all. Thank you!
I know it looks like a pile of shit, but Iβve been craving boerewors for a long time. Google tells me thereβs a place in Seattle that sells it, but is there a shop that makes it in Portland?
