A list of puns related to "Bing Russell"
i think he played the part perfect and i think the writers wanted people to hate new captain america anyways
I'm surprised nothing like this has been posted before. But let's just jump into it.
Some of you non-real winter drivers have this fairy tale belief that if you just stick winter tires on your car you can just drive normally at the speed limit now and you'll be fine. WRONG. So wrong.
On bad roads you should be driving 15 to 20 km below normal speed. On good ones you can do around 5 to 10 km less. This is with winter tires. This is not me being a conservative wuss, this is growing up in southern Alberta where the roads are way wider, everyone has big winter tires and 4wd, born driving in snow and people STILL adhere to these rules. Mother nature will always win.
Winter tires do not magically enable you to suddenly brake on ice, or take turns at high speeds.
These tips will apply to almost all situations. I'll list further terrain and road differences below.

So Russell was on Periscope for the better part of six and a half hours last night. We know he loves to hear himself talk, but to be on until 3 AM answering questions from fans and sharing stories is pretty cool. He had some pretty interesting stuff to say and I'm going to try and list everything he talked about as accurately as possible. I'm throwing in a bunch of stuff where Russell is being Russell, so bear with me:

Monk is 23 years old and currently on a minimum contract.
Over his last 12 games, he's averaging 17/4/3 on 52/49/88 (68 TS%) in 31 mpg.
Over the season he is averaging 12/3/2 on 48/41/84 (61 TS%) in 26 mpg.
Due to Monk signing a 1-year deal, LA does not hold his Bird rights. It is likely the Lakers can only offer him up to the tax MLE (6.2m).
> What may help the Lakers: The 2022 offseason projects to be the tightest in recent memory. Only four teams project to have substantial cap space: the Orlando Magic, San Antonio Spurs, Memphis Grizzlies and Pistons. Those franchises may not prioritize Monk, but much of the league will have the non-taxpayer mid-level exception (NTMLE) at about $10.1 million. The Lakers might have to use their own NTMLE to pay Monk, but that produces another problem.
> If a team uses its NTMLE, it locks in a hard cap for the season. That would limit the Lakers to a total payroll of about $152 million. The Lakers will climb well above that total if Russell Westbrook opts into his final year at $47.1 million, as expected. With Monk at $10.1 million, the team would easily reach an illegal $165 million. While the equation would shift if Westbrook opts out, that's a significant long shot.
> Instead, the Lakers should be limited to their taxpayer mid-level exception at about $6.2 million, which would not trigger a hard cap.
They just werenβt speaking to me in the same way This Naked Mind, Alcohol Explained, Sober Diaries and Unexpected Joys did.
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

Honestly Iβm not sure why it took me 28 years into my life to finally watch Survivor but it was well worth the wait. I started off on Cagayan on Netflix last May and was hooked right off the bat. Next, I watched Pearl Islands and Cook Islands before deciding that I was going to do a proper 6-month binge of the show from season 1. At that point I began taking notes of the seasons and giving a numerical score which formed my initial list. The rankings are according to how much I enjoyed the seasons but I tried not to hold it against the seasons where I already knew the winner ahead of time due to spoilers (those seasons are denoted with an asterisk * ).
As a general note about my philosophy in Survivor, the winner is always worthy as the entire point of the game is to reach the finals and convince the jury to give you the votes. However, sometimes I might find a winner underwhelming due to an unsatisfactory narrative arc or not receiving proper attention by the edit. I personally feel like the most recent seasons have been too Advantage and Idol heavy. I would say I prefer a good storyline to a flashy move at tribal.
Feel free to comment and criticize my list as I am sure plenty of people will disagree. I am sure long-time fans will have way more knowledge and insight than me. From what I understand from other rankings I have seen online my rankings for Borneo and Fiji are probably sacrilegious. Without further ado here are my rankings of all 41 seasons of survivor:
While I admit this season might have a slight advantage since I watched it first, I still feel confident placing it first. Cagayan has a great cast with consistent entertainment all the way through; from the brains tribe debacle at the beginning to some shocking blindsides in the post-merge. The last three immunity challenges were absolute nail biters and ultimately the season had a great winner although it only happened due to a highly questionable decision by Woo/manipulation from Tony. Tony finely walks the line between genius and insane which makes for a hell of a ride.
What a great theme for a season that incorporated an absolute all-star cast and started with a banger of a pilot episode. I am normally a post-merge guy but the pre-merge

Podcast by guest Cody Houdek and host Ben Taylor, who runs the Thinking Basketball YouTube channel and wrote the Backpicks Top 40
Pod link: https://twitter.com/ElGee35/status/1451671346820182019
Btw, there was a bunch of stuff about other players who didn't make it onto Ben's list but DID make the actual list (Pistol Pete etc.) that I didn't transcribe bc it was not on this episode but the previous top 75 episode a few weeks back, here's the link to that one: https://twitter.com/ElGee35/status/1441493128658100235
Before we start: The spirit of the podcast is just to discuss the list, and to understand that there are probably about 95 guys who can make these 75 slots, and to generate conversation as a result. (note: Ben also says a ton of stuff that I didn't record down between each of the picks and also before the list officially started.) However, Ben strongly disagrees with keeping the old 50 essentially apparently all being voted in again. As we learn more about the game, we can learn to evaluate players better, and more players can and should be sorted in and out of the list as voters become smarter and more informed (he goes more into this in the pod)
Ben's Criteria: Career value. Peaks. Also, if possible, trying to include a smattering of a few of the best at each area of the game (scoring, playmaking, defense, shooting). Scalability is slightly considered, so if 2 players had a similar career/peak then the more scale-able player got the nod (side note: in Ben Taylor parlance, scalable skills are those that increase in value on better and better teams, e.g. defense, passing, shooting, offensive rebounding. You can think of it as attributes that great ceiling-raisers have. Steph, KG, Bird, KD, Draymond are examples of ultra-scalable players; LeBron, Magic, Nash, Luka, Harden less so - they're moreso elite floor-raisers)
#Starting chronologically from the 1940s:
1 George Mikan STAYS IN
2 Dolph Schayes STAYS IN.

Joe's HoF case is super interesting to me, so I had to look into it.
His raw stats case centres around a 12 year period from '03-'04 until '14-'15 when he averaged 19/4/5 on 45/37/80 splits. Teams with him as the best player had a pretty hard cap at around the 2nd round, and his defense was just sort of average. His career totals of 20,405 points, 5059 rebounds, and 5001 assists (so far) look great - there are no players with more career points eligible for the hall who aren't in there. His reputation as a clutch shot taker and maker is legendary, with clutch stats of all sorts to back it up, as well as every teams fanbase remembering at least one unbelievable high degree of difficulty shot made against them.
With 7 all-star appearances, you've got guys like Scottie Pippen, Steph Curry, and Willis Reed who completely outclass Joe - like there's no debate these guys are so high above him in the all-time pecking order it's ridiculous to even compare. But literally no player who isn't still playing (Aldridge, Curry, Paul George, Kyrie) that has at least 7 all-stars isn't in the hall of fame except for Larry Foust from before the shot clock era. 83/84 guys at best, 80/84 guys at worst - and it's looking pretty good for Johnson's case here. Plus, he is one of the rare (only?) players in NBA history with an iconic perfect nickname, Iso Joe, while also having one of the worst[*] nicknames in NBA history, The Armadillo Cowboy.
[*] I've seen it on worst lists, but I think this nickname is awesome on every level.
But, if we look at players with only 1 All-NBA team, and exclude players from before 1984 so it's at least comparable to the modern game (who the fuck is Howie Dallmar?), we see there are 5 players in the hall: Kevin McHale, Chris Bosh, Dave DeBusschere, Ralph Sampson, and Drazen Petrovic. Obviously Petrovic is in for his international play, and Ralph Sampson is in for his college play. So let's look at who he's competing with:
It's amazing to me Kevin McHale only made one All-NBA team, given the reverence with which he's spoken in NBA circles. But he's a 3x champ, 6x all-defense, and 2x Sixth Man of the Year, with a mythical set of post moves. And let's be honest, he gets that Boston bump of being on great teams despite not having the best individual statistics (see: 60's Celtics dynasty for people not named Cousy, Russell, Jones, or Havlicek). We never got to see his unmitigated peak in earnest because he played

So, they said... and I quote: "We want to get you more involved, by having you cast your vote and choose the Collection Complete Rewards for all six collections"
So that would indicate the community is going to be the last word on this. We will know whether they are bending the truth or not if anyone other than Magic wins for 1980's since he's the meta card the fanbase loves.
But I'm curious what the other lock-in desires are. We don't know whether they're gonna throw all 76 players (or 74 sans Barkley/Miller) at us, but considering the 1980's has only 2 guys left, it seems likely that every 80's player will be in it. The 60's and 70's may not get the full complement as they're the biggest fractions and have the least "meta" cards or fan favourites. But for completion, this is what we got from each decade and who still remains.
I've put Dave Bing in 1970's because he should be there. He played at his peak then, never played in the 80's and his card art is 1970's even though 2K incorrectly has him in the 1980's. One would assume that will be corrected when they start to give a damn again.
