How I freeze the bagels. I split them, add some parchment paper and pop in a freezer bag. Then I can pull one out as needed and can toast from frozen as they are already cut. I can reuse the bags countless times. 6 bagels fit in a gallon bag.

What is the Ultimate Bagel Toast Combo?
I'm pretty great at food usually but I haven't been to Israel in a long time and I really flubbed it the last two times. There's just so many options, and they don't necessarily all mix well. Especially toasted.
But I know there must be a right answer. What do you get on your bagel toast? Is there a trick to this art form?
ETA: I fucked up throwing the word bagel in there. Nothing to do with bagels, I'm talking about toast. As in toastim that you can buy on every corner. I'm looking to create a masterpiece.

Is it normal to charge extra to double toast a bagel?
I was at Timmie's the other day and ordered an everything bagel.
They keep coming out basically just warmed up enough for the butter to melt. But I like them with a bit of crunch. so yesterday I asked them to double toast my bagel, and she said no problem.
She keyed in the order and I saw "double toasted" come up on the screen with a $0.50c charge next to it! LMFAO.

LPT: Quickly run your store-bought and unsplit bagels under water, then pop them in your toaster oven, the same way you would toast two halves, for a markedly improved "straight from the bakery" bagel
Doing this will give you an amazingly textured bagel that is a vast improvement to toasting the two halves separately.
It'll be crispy on the outside and soft and pillowy on the inside, making them taste like they're fresh from the bakery!
Trust me. Do this!
EDIT: You can also do this with other bread items that don't have an exposed interior. For instance, DON'T do this with 2 slices of bread, lol.
DO do this for a baguette. Or naan bread. Etc.
EDIT 2: TOASTER OVEN - not regular toaster. Another user pointed this out and I just wanted to add emphasis!

Made this treat a couple nights ago. French toast bagel, baked fried chicken (I donβt have a fryer), maple syrup, Mexican shredded cheese, maple syrup, scrambled eggs, maple syrup. Surprisingly I wasnβt high and sadly I was all out of bacon but still very very good.

I prefer unmelted chunks of butter on toast/bagels
When the butter gets melted into the bread, you can barely taste it. I like to eat it before it melts to get more of the butter flavor. I also like the feeling of the cold butter on the warm bagel.
