A list of puns related to "Alexander Allan (ship owner)"
"Dear Captain, Thursday will be my daughter's Debutante Ball. I would like you to send four well-mannered, handsome, unmarried officers in their formal dress uniforms to attend the dance. They should arrive promptly at 8:00 PM prepared for an evening of polite Southern conversation. They should be excellent dancers, as they will be the escorts of lovely refined young ladies. One last point: No Jews please."
Sending a written message by his own yeoman, the captain replied: "Madam, thank you for your invitation. In order to present the widest possible knowledge base for polite conversation, I am sending four of my best and most prized officers. One is a lieutenant commander, and a graduate of Annapolis with an additional Masters degree from MIT in fluid technologies and ship design. The second is a lieutenant, one of our helicopter pilots, and a graduate of Northwestern University in Chicago, with a BS in Aeronautical Engineering. His Masters Degree and PhD. in Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering are from Texas Tech University and he is also an astronaut candidate. The third officer is also a lieutenant, with degrees in both computer systems and information technology from SMU and he is awaiting notification on his Doctoral Dissertation from Cal Tech. Finally, the fourth officer, also a lieutenant commander, is our ship's doctor, with an undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and his medical degree is from the University of North Carolina . We are very proud of him, as he is also a senior fellow in Trauma Surgery at Bethesda."
Upon receiving this letter, Melinda's mother was quite excited and looked forward to Thursday with pleasure. Her daughter would be escorted by four handsome naval officers without peer (and the other women in her social circle would be insanely jealous). At precisely 8:00 PM on Thursday, Melinda's mother heard a polite rap at the door which she opened to find, in full dress uniform, four very handsome, smiling black officers.
Her mouth fell open, but pulling herself together, she stammered, "There must be some mistake."
"No, Ma'am," said the first officer. "Captain Goldberg never makes mistakes."
I bought my Nespresso last week and immediately ordered pods. Itβs been 5 days since then and the website said it was going to be delivered yesterday, but when I drop into the tracking link, it says βReady to Goβ. Called a couple days ago and they confirmed it should have been here yesterday.
Now tracking says Monday (4 more days), but status is still βReady to goβ.
Also, customer rep at Nespresso said βyou can buy pods on Amazon and get them faster or go to our boutiqueβ - closest one is 2 hours away. Should mention I live in Cincinnati - not the sticks.
Am I the only one struggling to love my new relationship with Nespresso because I canβt use the machine?
I sold a ~$500 item on Monday and shipped it out same day. Then on Tuesday morning I get a notification saying that the buyer has opened a payment dispute for an unrecognized purchase. There was also an alert from eBay saying that they have canceled the order due to suspicion of fraud. I was able to message the buyer and they said that their account was hacked and that they did not make this purchase. I asked them if they recognized the shipping address on the order and they said yes and that it was their current home address. Now assuming this person is telling the truth and their account was actually compromised, why would the scammer have the order shipped to the victims address? Is this something that has ever happened to anyone else? I guess the other explanation is that this account holder is lying and is just trying to get their order for free. Although their account is over 15 years old and has 100% positive feedback so Iβve been giving them the benefit of the doubt so far. Thankfully I was able to contact FedEx and have the delivery canceled and the item was returned to me this morning. So now Iβm just trying to figure out what the angle was.
Im well aware its meh without mbrb active, Ive read many reviews and seen MANY videos. I dont need stats on the ship, only a recommendation or not.
For reference, Im a 54% WR player, 1400 PR, cruiser main, and I already have wooster, colbert, smol, freis, and smal. Austin would complete the collection.
Edit: ended up getting it, and I got no regrets!
We own several brands and we are on the opposite side of drop shipping, we want people to sell our goods. We already have a wholesale model in place but since we already ship individual packages for Walmart and Amazon we would like to expand into offering our products for drop shippers.
My questions are;
is there a go to place/directory to list ourselves?
we use shopify for most our brands, does anyone know of an app that we can integrate for drop shippers to use?
what sort of margins are most attractive etc?
any other advice or things you would love to see from your end that would benefit our relationship?
Thanks, look forward to your responses, btw We have multiple warehouses/distribution in the USA.
Any of my fellow CMC owners also in the ship? I need you all to meet up for a rain dance to get him to play this weekend. We've been through the adversity. C'mon Christian I'm sick of watching your commercials with pain in my heart every Sunday.
I'm slowly working to get the rank necessary to buy my Corvette to be able to give some Pew Pew's out there, just PvE, and thinking about it I wanted to know what was your first impression about it, the experience of flying it the first time, the first kill, engineering it, etc. What did you feel?
This game is a masterpiece and every detail of it is fun and well done and I believe that some of you cmdrs feel the same way and I would love to read about your experiences about it.
I am a casual player, I've been playing for about 2 years now and elite only in trade and almost elite in exploration too. This game has been my savior for a long time and helped me to get my s**t together during hard times.
I have a cutter (holy drift) that was relatively quick to get the rank and I found it quite fun to drive it, now I'm going to Corvette after getting excited about the game's combat.
Thank you! o7
Basically, the idea is this: there is a digital marketplace where only small businesses can list their products for a specific city. Customers pay $5 for shipping, and if it's a local delivery, someone from the market place picks it up and the product is delivered the next day. For non-local deliveries, the same person from the marketplace will drop the product off at UPS, FedEx or whatever for shipping. The marketplace company would be responsible for marketing and could coordinate marketing campaigns across the network of small businesses for expanded reach.
I've been looking into this recently. As a small business owner, would you be interested in listing your products on a digital marketplace that encourages residents in your area to shop local as opposed to buying online from massive corporations?
What reasons would prevent you from participating? From what I can tell, it seems that a major headache for small businesses would be inventory management.
Obviously the marketplace would need to take a cut to cover operating expenses. What would you consider a fair commission rate?\
Any other feedback is greatly appreciated! I am just researching the viability of this idea.
