A list of puns related to "Vishal Bhardwaj"
Though Pritam has 5-6 songs with him but not even 1 from there others
Was "Omkara" the first mainstream bollywood movie which had unmuted abuses or cussing? It was, then Vishal Bhardwaj took a very brave decision at that time(2006) beacause it was something with which audiences were not familiar before? WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT IT?
Director Vishal Bhardwaj is one of the latest names who has come forward to give his take on the on-going madness that surrounds the Hindi film industry. The Sushant Singh Rajput saga, now having turned into a drug exposure saga is still the topic everyone is talking about and will be for a while.
However, when to comes to Bhardwaj, he rubbished claims that the Indian film industry has a toxic working culture or an insider-outsider divide, saying some people having โvested interestโ are trying to malign its image.
He said that he believes that people in the industry are always there to support each other, and especially for someone like him, who doesn't belong to any family, it has been a cherishable experience.
During a virtual press conference of Screenwriters Association (SWA) Awards on Friday, Bhardwaj in response to a question posed by PTI said, โI donโt personally feel there is toxic work culture. I believe there is so much love in our work culture. The film unit becomes like a complete family. There is such a beautiful work culture (here).โ
โI believe all this is rubbish about toxic working culture. Ours is a beautiful industryโฆ jo barbad kiya jaa raha hai aajkal uske vested interest kis tarah ke hai sabko malum hai (Ours is a beautiful industry, which has been ruined due to vested interest and we all know about this).
โAnd we also know why it is happening. So please forgive us, leave us on our own. We are doing good,โ he added.
โIt has nothing to do with insider or outsider. All this is banai hui bakwas (All this nonsense has been made up). We are like a family. I never felt like an outsider in the industry. Whatever little I have felt, that might happen in any other profession (as well).
โThe emotional support that you get here, that you might not get in any other work culture. It is a beautiful industry, there is no toxic culture,โ he said.
The director, however, is optimistic about the industry regaining its glory as soon as the cinema halls open.
โThis is one side bowling happening. We are yet to get to ball because our theatres are closed. Those who are abusing are the ones who go and purchase tickets to watch films. Let our Friday come,โ he said.
Vishal Bhardwaj's next film franchise based on the works of renowned British mystery writer Agatha Christie is making noise in the trade ever since it was announced last month. Now, Peepingmoon.com has learned that Bhardwaj has found his leading lady for the riveting mystery in Bollywood's new generation superstar Alia Bhatt.
Sources close to the development have informed us that Alia has given her verbal nod and is waiting for the final narration before signing on the dotted line. The discussions so far are said to have been extremely positive and they will announce it officially once all the modalities are locked. "It's almost certain that Alia Bhatt and Vishal Bhardwaj are collaborating. The director is keen to roll the film in January or February and Alia's dates are being worked out accordingly. However, it's yet unclear when the film will really get off the ground considering the uncertainty due to the second phase of the lockdown. The project requires to be shot in frosty Himalayan towns and hence if they don't start the production in January in Uttarakhand (as planned) they will have to shoot the film in foreign later in the second half of 2021."
The yet-untitled franchise film will be Alia's first mystery drama and will see her playing the role of a young girl who's thrown into solving a murder, and teams up with an unlikely companion to solve the case. Adaptation of a popular Agatha Christie novel based in snowy mountains, the first film in the series will be about the making of two detectives. It tells the story of a murder that takes place in a misty Himalayan hill resort and how a couple who are not designated detectives unwittingly begin sleuthing to get to the bottom of the crime. The future films will follow the duo as they continue to investigate multiple murder mysteries.
"Vishal Bhardwaj has created a fictional world out of Agatha Christie novels. He has adapted her book very differently and has made it a story of a pair of young Investigators looking to take over the world with their intelligence and charm. Bhardwaj is currently giving the final touches to his script and will soon visit Alia for the final narration," the source further added.
Meanwhile, Alia is currently shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali'sย Gangubai Kathiawadiย in Mumbai. After wrapping up the period drama, she will complete the remaining two songs of Ayan Mukherji'sย Brahmastraย and head to SS Rajamouli's Pan-India film,ย RRR. She is also doing a dark-comedy

Vishal Bhardwaj is known for his films packed with stellar performances and great storylines.
His films are made for a niche audience, and any actor would be ready to experiment with their roles to work with him.
Now, we hear that he is planning his next film and him has some actors on his mind.
As per sources, the filmmaker was keen to get Sara Ali Khan on board for his next film. He wanted to sign her for a movie thatโs close to his heart.
However, the response to the actressโ last film Love Aaj Kal has him in two minds. Several critics and audiences alike thought that the actress didnโt portray her role well and Sara received a lot of criticism for it.
They found her performance half-baked in the film. Looks like this has made the director change his mind and he is now not quite sure about signing her.
Vishal Bhardwajโs last film was Pataakhaa which starred Radhika Madan and Sanya Malhotra. Meanwhile, Sara will be seen alongside Varun Dhawan in the sequel of Coolie No.1, directed by David Dhawan.

In an interview with The Quint, when Bhardwaj was asked about the different ideologies ofย Akshay Kumarย and his wifeย Twinkle Khanna, he said that Akshay and Twinkleโs talk surprise him a lot.ย โStaying under the same roof with two different ideologies is praiseworthy. And both have different citizenship. One is a Canadian citizen and one is from India. And it is amazing what both of them are doing,โย he said.
He also asked why Akshay gave up his Indian citizenship. He further said,ย โI think he (Akshay) has been ruling the box office for the last 20-25-30 years. So people should know about it. A Canadian citizen is interviewing our PM, so the citizens of the country have the right to know when he has left his Indian citizenship.โ
Last year, Akshay Kumar said at an event that he has decided to give up his Canadian citizenship and has applied for an Indian passport. He said,ย โI am an Indian and it hurts me that I am asked to prove that every time. My wife, my children are Indian. I pay my taxes here and my life is here.โ
Till now Akshay has not yet responded to Vishal Bhardwajโs statement.
Ishaan Khatter who made his debut with Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi's Beyond The Clouds and followed it up a few months later with Karan Johar's Dhadak last year was all set to headline Vishal Bhardwaj's first Netflix series based on Salman Rushdie's 1981 Booker prize-winning novel, Midnight's Children.
However, Ishaan backed out of the project at the last moment and this, we heard, has occurred after a massive fall out between the actor and director.
An industry source informed us, "Although Vishal Bhardwaj is a master at adapting literacy works for screen and has successfully given Indian flavour to several global works of literature, Midnight's Children is proving to be a daunting project for him. The filmmaker is passionately working on the script and was set to roll the project in the next few months with an expected stellar cast on board. He had approached Ishaan Khatter to play the protagonist and narrator of the story, Saleem Sinai a few months back. Ishaan had happily agreed and instantly came on board with only paperwork left to be done. However, just two days before signing the contract Ishaan backed out of the series. This has not gone down well with the filmmaker which led to a rift in their relationship."
Apparently, Ishaan and Bhardwaj had several creative differences over the script.
"Ishaan was not happy with the way the series was interpreted. He felt it was too similar to the version of Deepa Mehta's 2012 film which was based on the same book. Ishaan wanted massive changes to the script and had some reservations about his character too. Vishal agreed to adopt some changes but that wasn't enough to hold him on board," the source further said clarifying that the filmmaker and actor didn't part ways "amicably" at all as reported.
Meanwhile, Bhardwaj has now moved on. We heard the filmmaker is now looking for a new face to replace Ishaan and casting for the same has already begun in Mumbai. Ishaan, on the other hand, has also signed two new films after backing out of the web-series. While one of them is said to be Ali Abbas Zafar's maiden production which will be directed by one of his ADs, the details of the second project are yet unknown.
Producer Ramesh Taurani's comedy film with Diljit Dosanjh and Yami Gautam got stalled last month after the Punjabi actor opted out of the project at the last moment. Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus with Salman Khan was also called off over the creative differences last week. And now Peepingmoon.com has learned about one more project that has hit the roadblock.
Our sources have informed us that Vishal Bhardwaj's Netflix project based on Salman Rushdie's 1981 magical realist novel Midnight's Children has been shelved. Vishal was apparently asking for too high a budget which the international streaming giant didn't approve leading them stalling the project indefinitely. The show's pre-production had begun, the casting was happening and was set to go on floors in the next two months.
"Netflix invested over 100 crores on its big-ticket show Sacred Games Season 2. They are believed to have spent nearly the same amount on their other large-scale shows, Bahubali: Before The Beginning and Emraan Hashmi starrer Bard of Blood. With Sacred Games 2 failing to perform as anticipated and the rest under production, Netflix doesn't want to put the three-figure budget on yet another show. And hence when Vishal asked for 100 crores to execute Midnight's Children as he had envisioned, Netflix objected," the source told us. "The absence of a big name to attract the viewers to the show was yet another reason they decided to drop the show. Netflix bosses and Vishal are reworking on the budget, however, it's unlikely it'll work out."
Vishal Bhardwaj was working on this project for the last ten months and had planned to adapt the Booker Prize-winning novel as a large-scale show with high VFX and special effects toplined by an ensemble cast. Ishaan Khattar was supposed to play the narrator Saleem Sinai but later Bhavesh Joshi Superhero actor Priyanshu Painyuli came on board after Ishaan opted out of it for Mira Nair's A Suitable Boy adaptation.
