I'm 23.
I was talking with my mother about a crazy woman she worked for while she was an undergrad, and we got on the subject of how a lot of people in the academic world have strange personalities. She said something about how academia is different than other parts of life when I paused for a second and said "Well, mom, there are a lot of nuts in macadamia."
^(I know it doesn't make sense if you think about it, just turn off your brains for a minute please.)
Not a dad yet, but I aspire to walk among the best.

So I'm in undergrad right now, on track to apply to dental school and whatnot. My parents came down to visit me and bring me some home cooked goodies. They got hungry so we decided to hit up a BBQ joint. In the car, my mom is scolding me for something (I forget what for) but my reply was that I don't have any patience to do it. She says "Why don't you have any patience?" when my dad chimes in and says "Well, he has to wait until he graduates from dental school before he gets any patients".

My university recently won a championship. Undergrads make over sized wooden benches which they will burn in a giant bonfire after winning the championship. Boss: I have always wondered what those benches are for, they really burn them? Coworker: Yes, well they sit on them too. Me: Do they die?!?
A barrage of groans, chuckles, face palms, and eye rolls ensued.
