Tombak Puns

My ADHD goblin has decided that our next obsession is going to be tombak. Drop any videos, tutorial books, general tips, etc.

He's a swamp dwelling hunter (barbarian/rogue in D&D 5e) who uses primitive fashioned weapons, but generally prefers to grapple opponents, drag them into the swamp, and chomp them to death.

He's cold and alien to many, but seems to make friends...or at least see the usefulness in not eating his companions. He is tall, lithe, agile, and muscular. A capable climber and swimmer.

Visually I imagine him as a sort of hybrid of three animals:

crocodile for the tail, boney scutes, and ridges along the back

Crocodile monitor for the head and teeth

With a coloration as some sorta creative hybrid of the three animals.

He wears no clothing save hand-made belts and harnesses to hold his few possessions: a few handmade wood and bone javelins, a stone knife, a turtle shell shield, and a battleaxe made from a dragon's jawbone.

The one non-practical item in his possession is a totemic necklace made of leather which he wears like a "charm necklace" with small trophies of his most difficult kills, the most prominent being the enormous tooth of a giant crocodile (he's a Bear Totem barbarian, but a croc in place of a bear for flavor).

He reluctantly uses these practical weapons for most combat, but he is an incredibly capable wrestler and prefers to drag his enemies into water to drown them / tear at them with his horrible sharp teeth. He really hates metal as he finds it untrustworthy and impossible to work without impractical and non portable equipment. Sticks and stones are easy to sharpen and when one breaks, just pick up another...

Personality wise, he is emotionless and seemingly psychopathic to others. He's cold, and callous, but not cruel. Cruelty lies somewhere on the s
