A list of puns related to "Thomas Willis"
The names of many people here are largely made up.
Background
Following the resignation of Richard Cromwell as lord protector, the English Parliament wanted to come up with a new system.
Unlike real life, they would establish a democratic parliamentary republic. A president would be choosen by the House of Commons to rule for life, or until parliament would impeach a President with a 2/3 majority or a regisnation. The President would have the same amount of power as the modern UK Monarchy plus the power to veto bills, which would be a big problem with many future Prime Ministers. The President would appoint a Prime Minister but would have little say unless he or she could force a certain coalition in.
To run for president, you need to pay the equalivelent of Β£20,000 for then. This would prevent random people running. The House of Commons would vote for the President in rounds, until a candidate would get over 50%.
There was a total of 612 MPs in the Commonwealth of England (and Wales). The Presidential Election of 1659 would be:
Round 1STUART 299CROMWELL 286BROWNING 27
307 needed to win
Round 2
STUART 309CROMWELL 302REFUSED 1
Charles Stuart would become President.
Any questions about the system please comment.
WHIG - Want slavery expansion but not as much as Tories, and stay that they will "protect slave owners rights" to own slaves. They supported the republic system but generally opposed religious freedom and were very anglican. Generally a lot more authoritarian. They also support establishing a more federalist system, economically right.TORY - Wants to expand slavery, supported a constitutional monarchy, and was less anti semetic but still very anti semetic. Authoritarian but not as authortarian and economically right. Strongly opposes a federal system and they want massive empire expansion and are happy to start a war with France.
Charles would appoint Thomas Willis (WHIG) and MP for Norwich. He was unusal in the Whigs because he opposed a federalist system, which is largely why he was appointed Prime Minister. He was facing an election in mid 1660. He wouldn't do much except introduce a Tobacco Planting and Sowing Act 1660 to ban growing tabbacco in England, forcing it to be done in colonies to allow growth there. He would also establish a new General Post Office which would be reformed for the reformed more democratic republic. He would also expand the navy

So everybody on this subreddit seems to be penciling us in to take Thomas at #4, but what do you guys who do extensive film study think about Jedrick Wills?
I ask cause a lot of respected offensive line analysts on twitter seem to think he is the OT1 in this class. Duke Manyweather, Dane Brugler, Mike Renner (head PFF draft guy) all seem to love him and they've often been right in the past (especially Duke).
What do you guys think?
NOTE: For purposes of our discussion, let's only consider football and leave Adrian Peterson's recent legal drama out of this.
