A list of puns related to "Theatrical Agent"
Just in terms of business, should I tell them? Like would it matter if my commercial agent finds out I have a theatrical agent all of a sudden?
So I plan on signing with a reputable agency soon, but only through their commercial agent, and I asked if I could be signed across the board, but they said I would honestly need more experience which is understandable. This is gonna be my first agent technically, and if I sign with a theatrical agent two weeks after, would it be disrespectful to my commercial agent since they did not recommend me signing to one yet? I just thought it would be fine to sign both a theatrical and a commercial agent. Also, I have three upcoming meetings with different theatrical agents on the same week of January. I want to meet with them all before I decide on an agency, so how do I tell the first and second one that I want time to think about it without wasting their time or them declining their offer since I didn't choose fast enough?
Or do they want you living there before theyβll bring you aboard? I have decent commercial experience but only one role on ID channel (with lots of small indie films so I have a reel) so it might be hard as it is.
If you are on file with Boston casting do you still need an agent or manager? Does anyone know any good acting agents of managers in New England?
Hi all,
I have a commercial agent and have been doing a couple things which is great. Iβd love to go over to theatrical but I donβt have a reel. Whatβs the best way to get started in creating this? What kinds of things to theatrical agents look for on resumes? Appreciate any advice. Thank you!
Can you tell me your success story? I have 9 credits on a Netflix show and want to step up my agent - any specific agency names would be great.
I have an agent in NY. I was wondering if I can sign with multiple from different states to target those markets since self-tapes are a big thing.. Chicago, Vancouver, LA, Atlanta, China, Korea etc.. I know you can with modelling, does this go the same with acting also?
Guys- I am STRUGGLING with my search for representation. I am a non-union actor, who has digital credits (worked with Kevin Hart's LOL Network, Issa Rae and her production company, Facebook shows, Popsugar), but lacks network film/tv credits due to being non-union in LA. I do have training though- Second City LA, Ivanka Chubbuck Studios, Tasha Smith, Private Coaching... I'm looking for feedback on my package which seems to lead to a dead-end every time I submit.
Is there another way to talk with agents about representation? I know there are a TON of actors in LA, but I really feel like whenever I DID get a meeting, it went extremely well in the past-- it's just the meeting part that's proving difficult.
Here is are two headshots I'm pitching:
Additionally, I sing and dance as well.
Any feedback?
I get good work from Backstage and from my agent but I want to be closer to TV series and Movies. My agent submits me only to commercials and when I ask for theatrical submissions, she says that they will submit me when something good comes up. I am not sure if they even get theatrical breakdowns. How do you guys got your first movie or TV roles? I don't care if its a small role.
I booked a national commercial (!) and am sending out a million postcards to managers & agents because I'm hoping to get repped theatrically. Should I add this scene to my vimeo? (The vimeo link will be on the postcards).
The lighting makes me look a little weird I think, but what's most important is the acting. What do you think?

Give me any advice you got. I've been trying for 5 years. (2 in NY, 3 in LA. I live in LA now)
For those 5 years, I've been doing lots of improv & sketch. I've also been taking acting classes (& I feel as though I've become a much better actor recently).
[Just sent out a bunch of postcards, but from what I read, I should've waited until mid-April to do that ugh]
Getting an agents attention, finding a good one at that, can be a bit of a trudge and make you feel like the wind is rapidly abandoning your sails. I found a commercial agent via LA casting, and am looking to see what I can do to get some meetings with theatrical agents, does anyone have any wisdom into navigating the search for agents? Specifically theatrical? Thanks friends.
