I'm planning on doing tech for American Idiot, but when I saw what kind of stage it was (also referred to as an Alley-Way stage), I got really confused. I'm pretty young and am not super experienced, so I've never really come across something like this before. How would a musical operate on this kind of stage. (set pieces, lighting, sound setup, etc..). I haven't gotten any details from anyone there, since I'm just volunteering, and I'm sure they have some sort of plan in mind, I was just curious as to how this works. Thanks!

I am searching for a theater in the round space, thrust stage, or something similar for an upcoming network TV shoot. Estimated about 10,000 square feet.
Not being a frequent theater-goer in LA, I was just curious to see if anyone knows of any theater rental venues that might work for this.

Saw the televised version of this play in the late 90s or early 00s. The main set was a bar/tavern (that may also be a boarding house). There was a counter and stairs leading to the second floor, with some doors. The time perdiod seemed mid to late 19th century (or early 20th century). It was in english, but maybe the location was Scandinavia or Russia. This is all I remember.
