A list of puns related to "Temperance Bar"
So today was rough. My 10 month old goldmaraner threw a fit today during my mumβs birthday lunch which then resulted in everyone getting mad at me and telling me Iβm too nice to my dog and that positive reinforcement is BS. Iβm overwhelmed with feeling like Iβm doing nothing right and while I didnβt feel puppy blues too hard at the beginning man theyβre bad today. Some tears have been shed lol.
We were trying to have lunch on a picnic bench and my brother and I had tied both our dogs to the empty bench behind us, just a couple feet away. My pup wasnβt having it and jumped on top of her picnic bench and proceeded to demand bark despite my interventions. So I moved her about 5 feet away and tied her to a concrete post where she threw herself on the ground and barked like a crazo nut and then started to dig frantically in the dirt. She has never done this before and it was just a temper tantrum - just like a screaming toddler in Walmart.
We do training everyday, she gets lots of sleep and lots of exercise and ya she was awful today but sheβs a teenage puppy and not a robot! My brother was particularly judgmental as his adult rescue dog is very chill and well behaved. But his dog came out of the box that way by a stroke of luck and he has no idea how hard it is to raise a puppy - particularly an adolescent one.
So in saying all of this, this is meant to be a vent and a hand of solidarity to everyone else experiencing the same. They say it gets better β¦. Hard to believe right now.
Hello,
I acquired a pair of TP Ergo Extend Twin XL adjustable bases but they are lacking the retainer bars which I have found online for a whopping $75 each! I also am interested in getting the Sleeptracker sensors but don't want to spend $350 for them new. (I am also unsure if I can retrofit the Sleeptracker to these bases (?))
Any suggestions out there for where or how I can get these items for a more decent price?
I don't live in the UK and I'm in the mood to make something twix-like. I'd prefer to avoid the whole tempering chocolate thing (a skill I hope to pick up another day) and I've heard that special compound chocolate doesn't require tempering. So I guess I've got two questions. 1. Is this true? 2. I don't think there are any bags of compound chocolate at my supermarket, how do I go about buying it? Can I buy some chocolate bars and melt them down? Is there something I should look for on the ingredients on the package to give away that it's the right chocolate I need?
Any help is appreciate. Cheers!
Hello all, I'm designing a small EDC-style pry bar/tool that I'll make out of my thicker knife steel scraps - mainly 80CrV2 and 26C3 (thought it'd be cool to try a little dirty hamon for the tip).
Figured I'd follow the HT steps as if it were a knife but not sure if I should temper for max hardness or softness? They'll be thicker than a knife-edge so not sure it even matters.
Would like to know your thoughts.
I absolutely adore the way Cyberpunk uses tarot to compliment its story. From achievement names to the various endings to the Fool on the Hill quest, the game tattoos itself with markers of importance throughout its world and its story, and it does so in a beautiful and intricate way.
Since my first playthrough of the game, I've wanted to type up a post that discusses the significance of each tarot card -- specifically, where you find it within the world. As I only finished the game for the first time a few weeks ago (I know, I'm late to the party) it's possible someone has already beaten me to this, and if that's the case, I apologize! Feel free to skip past this, if so. But if you're interested, then strap in, cause this is a long one.
Note: All of my quotations that relate to the meaning of the cards are from the in-game Tarot Journal.
When you find your first tarot mural and being the Fool on the Hill quest, you're encouraged to talk to Misty. She tells you a very brief overview of tarot and associated beliefs and divination systems, but the core of her message is that the locations where you find these "visions" must have some meaning that corresponds to what it is you're seeing.
It isn't difficult to piece these deeper meanings together, but this advice from Misty is what inspired this post. Cyberpunk beautifully foreshadows and reenforces story beats with its tarot placement, and does so in a way where almost every single card can be found in close proximity to a major story event. What I've been able to piece together is below. While note comprehensive, this little excercise was a labor of love, as well as an excuse to write 3,000 words about Cyberpunk (gotta put my degree to use somewhere, right?).
So now, let us examine the 22 cards of Major Arcana.
The Fool
Location: Vβs Apartment
The Fool represents the beginning of a journey -- the stepping into a βbrave new world.β Vβs journey, of course, begins in their apartment. This is meant to be the first Tarot card you find, and assuming you return to your apartment with any frequency, it probably will be.
In Mistyβs final tarot readings, The Fool is drawn to represent V. Fitting, then, for it to make its appearance at the place most associated with our protagonist.
The Magician
Location*: Across from Lizzieβs Bar*
The Magician is made to represent Johnny in Mistyβs final tarot readings, but thatβs not the importance of its location. The Magician represents self-confide

With three famous progressives, two septuagenarian conservatives, and a civil rights leader throwing their hats into the ring for the party's nomination for the presidency amidst an expansion of the primary system, the stage has been set for a long anticipated contest.

Theodore Roosevelt: 50 year old New York Governor Theodore Roosevelt left the office of Speaker of the House in 1897 to become the second grand hero of the Pacific War, and while his star never shined as bright as Admiral George Dewey's, he was a symbol of American resolve to countless during the Aleutian Islands campaign, with copies of his speech rallying troops prior to the Japanese assault upon Kodiak Island circulated across the world, hailed as one of the greatest orations of the era. Roosevelt returned home to help lead the new Progressive Party of Aaron Burr Houston, winning election as Governor of New York in 1900 only to resign after weeks in office to join the cabinet of President Dewey as Secretary of the Navy, where he would serve as the administration's chief hawk and play a key role in the temporary split with Germany over Venezuelan debt. Yet, Roosevelt's prior support of Great Britain has evaporated since the Invasion of Mexico, with Roosevelt praising German support for American and Porfiriato troops. Roosevelt runs as a strong supporter of the Mexican War and of imperialism generally, adding to that his appeal as a leading progressive, having even endorsed the traditionally Farmer-Laborite proposal of land value taxation. Additionally, Roosevelt once tacitly remained in the dry camp on the issue of prohibition, while finally shifting to support its repeal and local temperance, giving him appeal to every faction within the party on the issue. Roosevelt's supporters herald him as a uniting figure to reclaim the progressive mantle for the party, while his opponents such as Mark Twain deride what they view as his cult of personality.
Robert M. La Follette: 53 year old Wisconsin Senator and former Vice President Robert M. La Follette entered Congress at age 27 and quickly rose to become a lieutenant to the marshal of Federal Republican progressivism, Speaker John D. White, carrying the mantle to the governor's office, wher

I am the eldest of a blended family, my parents split when I was a toddler and my mum married Mark who has always been wonderful to me and never treated me like I wasn't his kid, they went on to have 2 more kids who are now 25 and 23. About a year after my parents split my dad remarried to stepmother 1: Grace, she's absolutely lovely and we get along great and she (a bridal designer) is helping with huge chunks of my wedding, she and my dad were unable to have kids after several rounds of ivf so he ended up cheating on her and they got divorced. About 2 years ago he met "step mother" 2: Anna. About 3 months after they met she got pregnant and they are now married with a baby and another on the way.
I don't mind Anna but I find being around her incredibly awkward as she's 22 and acts very immature.
The problem is that while Anna is invited to the wedding she isn't a part of it unlike the other step parents and as we are having a childfree wedding her kids can't attend. Mark and my dad were both going to walk me down the aisle, grace and my mum are doing tons of planning together, my 25 and 23yo half siblings are bridesmaids. Anna is packing a fit that she's not maid of honor and that my mums "kids" (even though they're older than she is) are bridesmaids but her infant or unborn baby aren't allowed to attend.
AITA for not making her part of the bridal party?
Edited to add: I'm definitely not budging on the kids thing. My partner and I have 2 kids who we will take photos with the day after the wedding and who will have very small parts in the ceremony but won't be attending further. I don't think it's fair on them to sit through a boring ceremony and it's not fair on us or our guests to listen to bored temper tantrums. The reception will have an open bar and part of the license for that requires there to be no under 18s there so that isn't an option either. We have arranged 4 nannies for our children and any guests who want to opt their children in and they will be throwing a small party at our house with a bouncy castle gifts so it's not like we are even asking anyone to find childcare for their children.
