This evening I tried Super Mario Galaxy 2 and lemme tell you, it's amazing! Keep in mind I haven't gotten far (only to my 2nd star that is) but what I've played so far was one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had! I enjoyed the first Galaxy game but thus is one of those instances where the sequel is better than the original! This game is unlike anything I've ever seen before in a video game! I can happily say that so far Super Mario Galaxy 2 is in my top 3 favourite Mario games! Like I said earlier I haven't played much so this opinion may change in the future but what I played has been a joy so far!

I bought Super Mario Galaxy 2 in 2010 and somehow never got around to opening/playing it, so it's been sitting in my closet (brand new) for over a decade. I have this weekend off and am in the mood to finally play it, so I was thinking about opening it and having at it.
The problem is that my girlfriend saw that there is currently a sealed copy on eBay with several bids (currently $250-$300) and more than a day left on the auction, so she says I should plan to sell my copy, buy a used one from GameStop tonight if I really want to play it over the weekend, and then use the profit for us to go out to dinner or something.
I tried pointing out that the one on eBay is a graded copy, which from what I understand is an expensive, inconvenient process. She countered by saying that it would still be worth it because my copy is in pristine condition. So I then pointed out that even though a few local GameStops have a used copy in stock per the website, this is often inaccurate, and I proved this by calling the closest one and confirming that they don't actually have it despite what the website says. She once again countered by saying that there are like five more in the area that supposedly have it that I can still try.
WIBTA if I just opened it? She's upset (mildly, this isn't a huge issue) and feels that I'd be throwing money away if I didn't seize the opportunity to sell it and just play a used copy. Maybe I should just call all the other GameStops in the area before making a decision, though some of them are in dangerous areas, so I don't know...
The emulator crashes when i go near one of those little launch stars, but normal launch stars work fine, how do i fix this?
So... Mario Watches as the ship takes of without him he begins to lose hope until he notices a glowing spot in the sky you can hear a faint voice "hurry mario come on" says the faint voice, suddenly a blue glowing launch star appears, mario knows what to do, he remembers the events from 14 years back, its time to do it again. mario gets in the star and gets blasted into orbit leaving a trail of sparkly sounds behind him, he hurls through the atmosphere towards the glow, he can see what it is. The observatory, mario lands on the observetory and it looks a bit diffrent than last time he was there 14 years ago, he sprints towards rosilina and tells her what happened, "here is something to help you in your travels, a luma slowly comes out from behind her and its the grandmaster luma all grown up. You have the ability to Spin now! Shake #! You can also spin with Y ! Now with the spin ability you prepare to fly straight to bowser, you already have enough power to do so, suddenly the observatory shakes and all the power is cut, bowser arrises and collides with the observatory smashing it to pieces mario gets flung off into space, you watch as bowser destroys the core, crushing it with his hand causing an explosion of power.................... You wake up.... You are extremely dazed, you find yourelf on a strange planet you look around and you see what looks to be lumas they float towards you and stare at you, they tug on your overalls its like they want you to follow them, they take you to this strange glowing platform where there are lots of lumas gathering they make way for you to pass, you meet a larger luma with his back turned mario taps the luma gently the luma turns to you and introduces itself, "Welcome... to luma landing, i am Brobdingnagian, you can just call me king luma, what brings you here" *mario explains* "WHAT, IS LUBBA AND ROSILINA OK?.... We must help them, what is your name young man.... Mario? ok" King Luma explains how this planet is similar to lubbas starship and how it needs power stars to operate they take you to the launch pad which is a super giant launch star, capable of sending mario flying to distance Galaxies.... FIRST LEVEL... Grassy Grove.

Hey everyone!
I wanted to buy Far Cry 3 or Super Mario Galaxy 2 but I don't know which one I should get. Both of these games are $15 in most stores but Galaxy can be a bit more expensive sometimes. I enjoyed Galaxy 1 quite a lot and I found the level design to be great but I saw a lot of people praising galaxy 2 for being one of the best games ever made, a miracle, the best Mario game and for being better than its predecessor and for those praises I'd like to try it out. I really don't know much about Far Cry 3 but again I found a lot of people praising the game and calling it a masterpiece. What I do know is that it's open world, has a good story and that it has a great villain. I know that Far Cry 6 recently released but it's above my budget and I don't really care about the game. So which should I buy? Should I buy Super Mario Galaxy 2 or Far Cry 3? Let me know in the comments and thanks for your help.
