I feel like I'm losing my mind. If I'm ever anything other than peppy and happy I get called in by the boss for a conversation about my "attitude" and sometimes I get called in when I'm not even upset about something! Just because I am focusing on my work and it's busy so I'm trying to move quickly. Meanwhile one of my co-workers is such a hot head my bosses actually warned me and every new employee since about him when interviewed to work there (even the ones in the office, that we rarely have to interact with). My other co-worker (who started after me) has been passive aggressive about everything for months and just really surly. Like to the point I'd be offering him help and he would refuse insisting on doing everything himself and then shit talking me for not helping. I tried nicely asking him what was going on, and why his entire demeanor suddenly changed and he said nothing was wrong he's just working and not trying to be friendly with anyone anymore. I wrapped up the conversation basically saying that if I did something that upset him I can't make it right if he won't tell me what I did wrong. (up until a few months ago he was actually pretty great to work with) And just like...are kidding me? I can't even move around to quickly or you think I'm angry about something, and report it to our boss, but you can pull this bs and I'm just supposed to be ok with it?! I try not to rock the boat to much I don't report dumb stuff to my boss I just try to let it go, but then I turn around and I'm in trouble for dumb stuff like working quickly! I try to point it out to my bosses and they won't hear me, and it's backfired on me more than once (to the point that the last time I brought it up I got written up the next day). So I don't even want to try anymore. Today was busy so I was moving around quickly, just putting some tools and stuff back in our main shop and the one thats being passive aggressive and surly walk in and the conversation basically went like this.
Him: "What's wrong with you?" Me: "Nothing just working." Him: Well somethings wrong your slamming stuff. (I wasnt slamming anything, just moving faster than leisurely) Me: I'm fine, just working. Him: You gone to lunch yet? Me: Not yet going once I get these tools put up.
I go to lunch and decide to just chill in our shop break room. And he keeps telling me to go to lunch and take a breather. I tell him I am on lunch and that I'm fine. And he finally drops it.
