According to credible sources from r/ghenshinimpact Chinese regulators have begun to set up standards to control and curtail Waifu and Waifu related cognito hazards domestically. In Japan, culture leaders like Miyasaki have called the global proliferation of Waifus 'a mistake'. In the context rising global tensions and a greater recognition of Waifus of mass destraction is it time for a new round of Strategic Anime Limitation Treaties between the G20?
I'd like some general ideas and suggestions for how to limit the number of additional prosthetic limbs a character can have beyond the standard two in a sci-fi/cyberpunk setting. I'm looking for system agnostic generalized ideas more than specific mechanical solutions, though either one is fine. In a setting where it's possible to graft on an upper limit of 8 extra arms, what would make that less viable than a number of arms in the 2 to 4 range?
Some general ideas I've had so far are:
Cost: this kind of modification is prohibitively expensive.
Weight: Extra arms are often heavy, and require more physical strength to have extras.
Durability: Light weight arms are fragile, and not well suited to combat.
Processing Power: you can only have a finite amount of cybermods, and some of them have synergies that work better together than just picking any one cybermod 8 or so times.
Bonus question: how would you go about solving this problem if it was present in your own system or setting?
My former employer is suing me for a noncompete violation. They want over $100k. Regardless of how absurd the whole thing is, winning will likely cost me $100k in attorneys/court fees (I'm already out $20k) and losing would cost me even more. I'm not willing to settle.
I was going over my assets and liabilities yesterday and realized that I don't really have much of anything on paper. When my wife and I got married, she had better credit, so we put everything in her name. The only asset I really have in my name is the house (deed only, which should be protected) and the only bills I have as an individual are a couple of credit cards with low balances, a vehicle lease, and student loans. Jointly, we have a tax installation agreement. Much of my credit score is currently based on credit cards that are in her name, which I can be taken off of. I can easily have a zero balance on my individual credit accounts. She has her own business checking and savings accounts, as do I, but only 1 in joint and there isn't much in it. This was not intentional, just a matter of convenience. I've been sandbagging my employment because of this lawsuit and basically, if you separate us, I'm hemorrhaging money.
I read yesterday that a married person can file for bankruptcy as an individual, which opened up a new world for me. I went down the rabbit hole and found out about strategic bankruptcy and using it to (in short) nullify most civil lawsuits. Does anyone have any experience with this? Was it successful and/or worth it? What kind of credit hit would I be taking if my dischargeable debt is next to nothing (CC debt at zero) or I don't list a creditor (vehicle lease)? Is it the filing that shows up on FICO or is it the derogatory from the creditor? I have a lot of little questions about this, but I'm not sure where to find the answers.
Thanks for any insight you can give!
Having recently played Supreme Commander I remembered the Strategic Zoom function. - Meaning you can zoom out so far you see the entire map, in Supreme Commander the units are replaced with icons on greater zoom levels, projectiles by yellow dots.
Strategic Zoom is so much better for an overview than the minimap, and doing drops is much more fun. I think any modern RTS needs to have at least a level of Strategic Zoom, we also see it in some SC2 casts.
However, I think it should be limited. With Supreme Commander you can spend the entire game looking at a terrain chart with icons on it. Strategic Zoom should be used momentarily to get an overview of the battlefield or to coordinate armies, I think it is best if controlling unit abilities and eco is simply blocked in Strategic Zoom, for example by hiding the interface and blocking command card hotkeys aside from Move/Stop/Attack-Move

Inspiration for this post comes from an old debate of Korra (w/water only) vs Ozai in which almost every comment said Ozai wins because of lightning. Regardless of the fact that weβve never seen lightning actually hit someone (yes I know itβs a kidβs show and Zuko doesnβt count because he was trying to save Katara), I think that some people believe that generated lightning moves as fast as natural, real-life lightning or lightning period must just be overrated because I would never consider lightning anything other than a finishing move when the opponent is basically already down.
For this discussion, Iβll be going in order of appearance of some of the blasts of lightning we saw.
#Iroh Reacts To Natural Lightning

So obviously for the sake of animation, Avatarverse lightning isnβt going to be moving as fast as real world lightning, but it still moves pretty fast, and even faster than generated lightning. Here in the gif, we know that Iroh senses the lightning coming, you can see it on his face, and you can see that he was already in the correct position where the lightning would land, but he clearly reacted to when the lightning would land. Now there are plenty of characters that are faster and quicker than Iroh (Korra), they may even have better reaction feats if we exclude this one (Korra), which would ultimately mean that the Avatarverse have an abundance of lightning timers (regarding where they stand in speed). #Iroh Redirects Azulaβs Lightning
^B2E1
As we can all see, lightning is more of a finishing move, no matter how quick you can generate it (barring instalightning). Here we have Azula with about a 3-4 second attack speed in between the intial charge and the release point. Obviously too slow for someone to conjure up in the middle of a fight with their opponent already applying pressure. And the lightning being too slow is reiterated by the fact that Iroh, who was nowhere in sight when Azula first started charging and was most likely at the bottom of the boat from where

Though there were a wide array of design choices that were being debated at the time, many believed that these choices seemed to be trending toward making BF2042 a more fast paced, lone wolf, one-man-army style game, with less focus on the more grounded aesthetic and teamplay aspects of previous games. Some hailed these changes as being sorely needed for Battlefield to compete with other popular shooters like COD and Apex, while others derided these changes as being too large a break from convention to be acceptable. I lurked through enough threads on the controversy to see that, over time, players that wanted these changes to happen won the debate. People with negative opinions on these changes slowly became less and less represented in the debate and discussions on this sub gradually shifted from arguments based on two or more distinct points of view to mild conversations speculating on the state the game was in. It must be remembered that communication from DICE was nothing if not lackluster. Footage of gameplay was basically nonexistent until very recently and so the optimists could always say that these changes would make the game better, and that cyniccs should wait until we got to play to criticize the game. And so the community became insulated from the serious problems that critics had speculated on months before we knew what we know now.
Well, here we are. Battlefield has become another soulless shooter meant to supply a constant drip of dopamine to people who would rather act than plan. Watching dozens of clones of the same person bunny-sprint across the barren Battlefield at speeds which, according to one redditor, clock in at 22 miles per hour, is the most ridiculous thing I've seen in years. I don't know what's worse, the fact that DICE threw out the essentially perfect movement system that they finally got right with BFV, or the fact that they took a series which has historically had the most cohesive and impressive aesthetic out of any shooter series and turned it into a sea of soulless clones that only exist to encourage children to engage in microtransactions with their parents' credit cards. Never mind the fact that these clones can only fight for either the US, a historical superpower, or Russia, a decaying kleptocracy with a smaller economy than South Korea, solely beca

Why would I want to develop a personal brand? It allows others to be able to see how you fit into their lives, ultimately improving career, dating, and social prospects. This becomes relevant in 1.) how you present to new people you meet, 2.) how you present yourself on social media.
We talk a lot about this in bits and pieces, but I'd love to discuss how to specifically develop an encompassing plan from A to Z. I personally need a blueprint and a written method for accomplishing what it is I'm hoping to achieve. I am by no means a marketing expert. This information was found using Google, and I hope can act as a starting point for generating conversation.
Here are some main concepts and key points I've come across:
