A list of puns related to "Straddling"
"Oh you must not have a sense of humour". FR? That is the most defense mechanism thing to say. All these people do, often, is show some low effort meme or picture of a black mans dick, or a KKK meme, or a Hitler joke, or an immigrant joke. Come on now; you spent your entire life looking for humour in the offensive because of the fact you think its taboo. That's what makes you laugh. You like the feeling of sharing in that taboo. Just admit YOU have the difficult to relate with sense of humour and stop trying to make others feel like they can't handle offensive jokes. We can, there's just a line, and you like to try to HIT the line. You don't want to stop BEFORE the line. You don't want an offensive joke to be "intelligent". You WANT it to be "in your face" and taboo.
You can't get all defensive, emotional, and sad when someone doesn't think your joke is funny - and blame them for being emotional or un-funny - when you KNEW what your type of humour was. These types of people often alienate themselves because they KNOW what they like is offensive and they go find people who revel in it too - or at least laugh along with them - so they can feel accepted. Often, these people end up being the ones who are "accidentally" racist or sexist because they surrounded themselves with other people who don't know why there are taboos or lines drawn in the first place.
You don't have to be ashamed in your sense of humour BUT you do need to stop shaming others for not being down in the gutter with you. There are sooooo many ways to make good gutter jokes without being a prick.
That is all.
My property is outside of municipality in a regional district with no zoning or setbacks. One of the outbuildings is not entirely within the property. It is a carport and lean to shed. A raw land parcel next door has sold, and the new owners think the structure is theirs. The carport is 80% on their land with 20% built on crown provincial land. The lean to is about 60% on the other property, 20% on mine, and 20% on crown. The roofing and all materials match my other outbuildings, and it was clearly built for my property by a previous owner decades ago. The hydro for lights and outlets in both sides are coming from my property. Of course it is best to sort it out with the neighbours directly. How would this likely get sorted if it went through title insurance or other legal means?
He nodded as his brideβs eyes rolled back in her head and she growled, βnot even that will save you.β
I've seen the sentiment of wanting to escape society and run into the wild by INTPs in this subreddit before. My way of satisfying that urge is going on periodic hiking trips in other states. I consider myself to be an adventurous person, but now I'm wondering if I'm just an idiot who's probably going to be the first to die in a horror movie.
I'm very much somebody who dislikes being around people, so my ideal vacation is somewhere in the middle of nowhere. Because I'm so comfortable in a natural environment, i regularly do things that I probably shouldn't do. Hiking off the beaten path, exploring locations that are off the grid, things along those lines. Of course, I know my limits. I do most of my hiking alone, so any time the path forward seems a bit perilous, I turn around. Theres nobody around to help me if i get stuck somewhere, after all. I feel like I take as many precautions as I can without being ridiculous. Hiking stick to probe for snakes, bear spray, a first aid kit, a handgun, etc.
I told this to a friend mine, and according to her, my actions are incredibly stupid. I was a little taken aback by this, but I understand the sentiment coming from a girl. I'm a guy, so i tend to be less cautious about doing things like hiking alone. But it's not like being a guy makes me impervious to animal attacks, slips, and the off chance of a blood thirsty murderer hiding in the bushes. So while I know my actions aren't the safest, I never considered them to be dangerously stupid.
I'd like an outside opinion on this. Am I adventurous, or just stupid?
I don't know what possessed me to do this in survival mode instead of creative, but I built a Below Zero base doubling as an aquarium. It showcases views in two biomes, and all available flora and fauna. Exceptions: I didn't give Crashfish a tank, and I tried to put a rock grub couple into containment to breed, but they disappeared--a bug? if you'll pardon the pun. This took approximately 36 hours to gather all the materials and construct. The base is powered by 3 thermal reactors, 1 bio reactor, and 4 solar panels. There are 2 moonpools, a bedroom, a break room, an atrium, an various utility rooms. In order to keep the base structurally sound, I had to build a bunch of inaccessible multipurpose rooms covered in reinforcements, but it worked from a visual standpoint because I had so many multipurpose room towers filled with alien containment tanks. Gathering enough quartz, titanium, copper, diamonds, lead, and lithium to make this place possible was a tremendous task. I've also provided a link to a video tour since pictures don't really do it justice. Just wanted to share with you what I wasted my entire weekend on :) Hope you enjoy!

My husband and his siblings are neck deep in feelings of non-belonging because they were raised white by a white mother and a native-american father. They feel like they aren't native enough and long to belong to that group (despite not having much acquaintance with rituals and mythology, and hating reservation culture). All of them lament that their children are light skinned and growing up in capitalist culture, and I sense that they all have some serious self-hate for their own whiteness. My husband said today that looking at photos of his dark-skinned ancestors puts a lump in his throat and he feels as if he is mourning the death of a loved one.
Are there any books, fiction or nonfiction, that at all could help these guys understand or cope with these feelings. I'm white as white, and honestly don't completely understand their pain. I want to help though.
