A list of puns related to "Sonographer"
Iβm curious what has changed for sonographers and how it has been on your mental health.
I want to become a sonographer. But I live in the middle of nowhere and I'm 4 years into a degree I'm not happy with. I want to transfer to a different major entirely. I was hoping there was an online school I can do and do medical things in a nearby hospital. But I'm having a hard time finding an online school that has the major I want. I was hoping to get an associates degree for it. I am having a lot of trouble and I'm getting discouraged. Is there anyone who can help? Could I call a hospital and ask lol. I don't want to bother them but I need help.
I asked my sister in law to ask her technician when she gets a checkup on her son, but I don't think she's going to. So I have no clue where to go from this. I don't want to continue with Anthropology and Journalism anymore. I really wanna try this medical field.
I'm planing on doing in the traveling thing.
How much can I realistically expect to gross in a years time, including stipend? (cardiac or vascular)
I would want to work at least three 13 week contracts in a year. Is that possible?
Thank you in advance!
I know it will vary with the facility, but are beard free men expected to be clean shaven for work? Is stubble okay?
I apologize if this is not the place to post this question
I recently got out of the Marine Corps and in turn have no college credits under my belt. I was a mediocre student in high school simply due to my immaturity and the fact that I did not put much effort in-knowing that I was enlisting after graduation. I never took the SAT or ACT, I will clearly need some college courses in order to βbuildβ my academic resume before applying to an ultrasound program. I am wondering if it would be best for me to build my GPA by taking some core college classes then trying to get into a RN program to eventually lead into applying for a sonography program. If you guys have any suggestions or recommendations on the best path for me I would greatly appreciate the input.
I am a radiographer and really want to become a sonographer.
Are there any things you can recommend me to do that will help me with my application to be a trainee sonographer (while studying the masters)?
Iβm live in Atlanta and and going to start my sonography program in January. Iβve looked up the average pay online, but I would like to know how much other DMS are making an Atlanta. How much did you start at making and with what registry? in what city? How much are you making now?
Hey guys, Iβm 18 years old and in cc working on my prerequisites for my sonography/ultrasound tech career. I have chosen the 2 year route instead of the 4 year route but I am completely confused on how or where I can get an opportunity to do my 12 months of full time clinical ultrasound /vascular experience. Iβm in the La area and have no idea what to do next neither do I have any guidance. Iβve contacted many counselors but no reply yet sadly. I was hoping I can get help here :(
Hi! I'm a Canadian-Croatian highschool student planning on pursuing a job in the healthcare field. will likely pursue a carrer in diagnostic medical sonography (sonographer). After graduating from university in Canada and working for some years, I would like to work and live in Europe. I have an interest in countries such as Germany or the Netherlands and am willing to learn a new language such as german or dutch. I have Croatian dual-citizenship, so I assume I would not require a work visa to work in the E.U.
I am wondering if there are many opportunities for health-related specialists to find work in countries like Germany? (i.e. sonographers, nursing) Also any other tips you would give to a person desiring to migrate to countries such as the Netherlands or Germany would be appreciated.
Hey guys! I am currently a student trying to get into the DMS program in Louisiana. I want to move up north when I finish school and I have some questions in regards to the opportunities available in NH. What does the salary look like? Is there a market for it? Is there a specific subcategory in Sonography needed up there? Any specific areas or regions that I should look into ? What is the work environment like? etc. Any insight or experiences will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Hello!
I'm wrapping up my final clinical placement in about a month and I want to do something to thank the sonographers I worked with! I spent both of my clinical placements at the same place (eight months total) and I learned tons! It's a small department (4-5 people) and I worked pretty closely with everybody. I had a really great experience; everybody was fantastic.
As I'll be moving back home to start my career, I'm wondering if anybody has any ideas for a thank you gift. I was planning on bringing in cookies and a thank you card regardless, but I was also thinking of maybe getting a small Christmas tree ornament for everybody.
Does anybody have any suggestions? Would this be considered unprofessional? Has anybody done anything similar to this? Thank you so much!
I had my anatomy scan yesterday and first things first baby looks perfectly healthy and baby-shaped in all the right places.
We wanted to find out the gender, but as my husband couldn't come with me due to our city being in lockdown I got the sonographer to write it down on a piece of paper for us to look at later. So we didn't end up discussing the gender during the scan at all and he told me to look away whenever he was scanning near the baby's legs.
When we opened the paper afterwards it said "most probably a boy" which we're happy about, but is it normal for it to say "probably"?
Currently planning on what site I would like to be placed in for clinicals and wanted to know if anyone had any advice or recommendations as to clinical sites to work on getting into vs avoiding in the greater Seattle/Bellevue area? Iβm most interested in UWβs site as Iβm going into vascular sonography and an instructor of mine has worked there. Would appreciate any advice, thank you!
Hi all -
Iβm leaving the teaching profession to be a sonographer. I have my bachelorβs in special education, so Iβve done my pre-recs (unless this program will need something different than I already did). Iβll be making the switch either this year or in the next two.
I plan to shadow someone in the coming months and Iβm meeting with an advisor at the college I applied to. What advice do you have? My school is CAAHEP certified. What else to I need to prepare for to become a sonography student and have this career?
I appreciate it!
I'm a CT tech looking at moving forward in my career and going back to school for Echo. I don't know anything about day-to-day life in Cardiac Sonography and am curious: do you find your job repetitive, rewarding, or both? What are the opportunities for advancement outside of management? What would be your ideal position be in the field?
Preferably something that takes the load off our arms and shoulders.
My school offers a certificate program and from the looks of the ardms site it seems I can still take my registryβs, however without a degree will this hinder my employment drastically? Letβs say even if I do well at clinicals ?
I was looking online and some job postings say for education requirements, High-school education and certification alone was fine.
Just a bit worried any help on this would be appreciated thank you!
Side note my program is 2 years with 900 clinical hours
Iβm about 2 years from finishing a bachelors
Any hope if I included this info on my resume ?
I am an echo tech and I have recently starting taking treating my ADHD (+ other mental health problems) seriously again for the first time since I was a kid, and the treatment plus independent research I have done on my own have been very eye opening, especially the challenges Iβve had to face being in this field and the ways I have subconsciously worked around them (lots and lots of sticky notes haha). Thankfully, I work in a clinic as the sole echo tech with doctors that are happy with my echoes and are either understanding of, or they just donβt mind, some of the issues I have, such as being a little bit more forgetful for certain images than the average tech (despite numerous different approaches to trying to remedy this), sometimes mislabelling things in reports, etc.
I guess the point of this post is I was wondering if there are any other techs here who have ADHD or work with someone with ADHD and if they have discovered any strategies to help improve their productivity, or just have any stories they would like to share so us ADHDers feel validated in our struggles haha. Iβm also happy to answer any questions and share my own strategies if anyone has anything they would like to ask π.
Any sonography just have a certificate and didnβt do the associates. Tell me what has been your Experience finding a job and pay.
Does the associate degree make a difference?
I'm a vet tech/practice manager and am completely burnt out. I know I'm incredibly lucky to have a job but I've lost all passion for the vet field. I started school a while back in hopes of getting into the incredibly competitive cardiac sonography program. The closer I get the more nervous I become thinking that I might be setting myself up for a career that is easy to get burnt out on. I've done a lot of research regarding the career in general but haven't been able to find any personal opinions from cardiac sonographers. I know everyone is different but I'm desperate for any type of feedback regarding the career...I.E. whether or not it was a good choice, regrettable, happiness, etc. Thank you so much in advance to anyone that replies.

... keep reading on reddit β‘Has any one taken the New exam to become a over seas trained sonographer in New Zealand?
Hello all, I am currently working as an agency OR nurse in New Mexico. I really like the OR but I still find myself daydreaming about trying something new. Management and call get to me sometimes. Just curious if anyone has made the nurse to sonographer transition? What is required for it? Do I have rose colored lenses on? Am I better off staying where I am? Thanks in advance.
Any new zealand sonographers out there that took the MRT board exam ? There's not alot of information out there.
Wondering if there is any traveling techs with small kids that only do local jobs? Looking for something different but donβt know if itβs feasible with kids under 5.
I finished my prerequisites for both nursing & sonography school. Iβll be applying to both schools in summer of 2022 because Iβm having a baby in March 2022. I donβt know what school Iβll make it in to but if itβs both Iβm not sure what to pick. Maybe down below can you guys share why you pick being a sonographer and why you love it?
& if their is any single moms that went to school while having a baby maybe share motivation or how you got through it?
