A list of puns related to "Soft Soap"
I don't really want "Almond" or "Forest/Wood" or "Cologne" smelling soaps. I am still baby at shaving so I've only tried MWF and Arko so far, which both just have a "unique chemical" smell. I don't mind that, but I'd like to get myself a proper, fancy, nice-smelling soap, and don't really know where to look, esp since it's a lot of artisinal stuff
I'm looking for something like strawberry/cherry/peach/bubble-gum/maybe lavender, etc. (without sacrificing for performance)
I'd like to avoid citrus, but if a place makes citrusy soaps maybe they use other fruits too so I'd be willing to check them out
thatβs all
I was wondering how long you load your brush for on a soft soap?
Thank you
In the Fun Fun Fun fight it was said that Josuk8 can not use his soap bubbles on himself, just like Crazy Diamond couldn't use his ability on Josuke. But in Born This Way fight Josuk8 uses soap bubles on himself to absorb metal pipe from his neck. Ima confused.
I saw an Dawn dish-soap ad it went from just explaining that the soap is good as scrubbing messes than others but then it went into saying you could use it for cleaning counter tops, t-shirt stains, and washing the car. What caught my attention most is when they used it to wash a baby duck saying it can remove the oil (like form an oil spill) on their feathers and soft enough to not harm them. Whatβs Iβm question is what made someone feel like they should use what was originally implied to be just for kitchen tools would be fine on a living creature?

Collection is getting out of hand again, stuff must go.
All soaps have been used the most of 3 times with the exception of Night Music which is around 80%.

Hello all!
We made a batch of goat milk CP soap recently and Iβm wondering if it is normal to still be this soft.
We cut the soap 5 days after pouring the mold, and it has been one week and two days since cutting. We tried to plane/bevel a couple days ago, and it was wayyy too soft still. We keep them on a rack in a small temperature-controlled room with a fan on.
Oils used were 33% olive oil, 25% coconut oil, 20% palm oil, 15% apricot kernel oil, and 7% cocoa butter.
Is this normal? I oftentimes see that people are able to plane/bevel just a couple days after cutting, and that hasnβt been the case for us.
Sorry for the newb question! I am a newb at this after all. Have a good one & thanks in advance!
I've found my GOAT soap, Mitchell's Wool Fat (??? it's incredible, so much better than any artisan I've tried) and appreciate the simplicity of the scent, basically goes with anything.
I also bought an iKon X3 to see if I liked a slant more than my Karve CB, and I do not. I either have really bad technique with it, or it does not agree with my face and I get weepers galore despite really trying to use it for a few weeks now.
That being said, I now have a Seville Excelsior soap ~80%, a Hallows Soft Heart ~50%, and an iKon X3 head I'd like to get rid of.
I have an iKon 80mm Bulldog handle I purchased with the head that I may be willing to part with if nobody is offering the razor head I want. However, I'd really like the razor/handle for travel purposes. Failing that, alcohol based splashes would be what I'd like. For the Karve head, I can offer cash to make you whole if absolutely necessary. I may consider other SS heads as well, depending. I do need very mild razors. I currently use a Karve SB-A brass as my daily for reference.
If trades happen, availability:
Seville (available)
Hallows (available)
iKon X3 (availabile)
I tried selling this as a lot to no avail so letβs see if I can have any luck breaking this sucka up. Sets will stay together. Iβd like to keep this CONUS. Prices include shipping. PP and Venmo. Message me with any questions please and thanks for looking.
Hey everyone! I finally made my first ever soap! It's nice but to soft (I made it entirely from canola oil). Is there something I can do to mend it? I'd hate to have to throw it out.
So normally I blend my soap til it's like pudding, but I've been trying to do some more advanced swirls and of course the trace needs to be lighter. So this last batch I pulsed and mixed very slowly and after a few minutes got a light trace, which was amazingly workable compared to my normally thicker trace. Anyway, I was all excited and happy until I took the loaf out of the mold, and it's SUPER soft.. I cut a piece or two and it was like cutting butter.. pressing it squishes it in. I used the same recipe that I've used for years, and don't think I messed up measurements..
So my question is, with a lighter trace do you have to wait longer before cutting, because it takes more time to harden? Or does it sound like the result of some kind of mistake?
Thanks!
I never tried DG before, so I got a tub of Sellout. I was surprised to see it is not hard at all, but incredibly soft. Like I can lightly press my finger into it and it leaves a hole. Is this normal for DG soaps? Usually soaps like NO, B&M, Stirling, etc...are really hard.
Is it a difference of surface tension? HW has more dissolved minerals than SW, but I donβt understand why that would allow it to strip away soap more easily.
Hi friends of soap.
After starting out with soapmaking with single molds I finally got a 500g (bit more than 1 pound) mold for a block of soap.I tried three soaps so far and it is a lot of fun BUT I feel like my soap takes way too long to harden.
The last one I made I did three days ago and it was still soft on the bottom while being hard on top. And I mean really soft, so the unmoldung made it look less neat (but I wanted to make more soap so I need the mold today lol).
The recipe was safflower oil, macadamia oil, caocobutter, coconut oil and some castor oil. I added 1% nsodium lactat. Still soft on the bottom. I also did a high olive oil soap in the mold before which also stayed soft on the bottom.
Am I doing something wrong? In the videos from Tree Maries Soapwork or Royalty Soap they always unmold and cut on the next day. Is it because they add heat? Should I try to force gel?Or might it be because of my higher lye discount (14%)?
I know I could freeze the loaf but my freezer is really small. I could do it but it would be a bit annoying.
Or am I just too unpatient and should wait longer before unmolding?
Thanks in advance.
