A list of puns related to "Snowmaking"
Do all slopes at snowshoe have snowmaking capabilities? Or is it just certain ones?
Iβm going to snowshoe Dec 17 and staying a week. I was curious if more blue and black trails will be open around that time
Living in Lake Placid now, gonna be done with night shifts making snow at the ski jumps, worked the last two seasons making snow at Whiteface, but lived far away from town. In need of new friends that are closer than friends near Plattsburgh. Snowboarder, but can keep up with most skiers!
I'm an experienced snowmaker. I am looking to check out a new Mt.. I was wondering if you folks know about any mountains/hills that are cooperatively owned (by employees or the town)? My research into unionized snowmaking has all pointed toward Vancouver.
Is there anyplace in America where one can be a snowmaker and get insurance from their employer? I doubt it.
Word from the hill is loon is announcing their closing date for this weekend(?) and Sunday River will not be far behind. Sugarloaf is planning on making snow Sunday night/ Monday in order to stretch their season to hit the 150 day mark as guaranteed in their season pass sales last spring. I donβt remember the specific language as it was added to comfort consumers during the pandemic. I donβt think they anticipated there would not be enough snow to make it to 150 days! Now Iβm wondering if they are on the hook big time if they donβt make it to 150 operating days ... Mother Nature is not on their side! By my calculations they need to make it to the third weekend of April (start date 11/23), the scheduled last weekend of the βreggae festβ aka two bands playing at the lifts. This could be really interesting if they canβt make it to 150 days. Any thoughts/opinions/information about this??! And obviously, hopefully it snows again and we make it past 150 operating days!
Some colder days at the end of next week and next weekend.
Anyone know which of the 3 epic mountains have the highest snow making capacity?
We've had a run of days at WT, so thinking of a run back to RT but wanted to see if others knew which mountain does the best making snow.
With our season right around the corner, one hot topic that will come up is who is making snow and when? This begs the question, who has the best snowmaking in Pennsylvania?
I want to hear from you about who does it the best! In my opinion, Seven Springs and Hidden Valley in the west have done a great job in the past couple years building a base that has got us through March, but I am no expert on this topic at all.
