A list of puns related to "Skullcandy"
Budget - somewhere around $200 USD, preferably less, but not unwilling to go a little beyond if theres something that really catches my eye.
Source/Amp - These will almost always be driven by my laptop, a 2020 ROG Zephyrus G14. If there is some combination of headphone and amp that fits within my budget I would be willing to purchase that, but I do have limited desk space so something that can run straight off my laptop would be nice.
Usage - I am currently in a college dorm, so closed back is definitely a must and they won't be leaving my setup ever. I go between gaming(fps and moba), listening to music, or watching anime, youtube, movies, etc. sometimes multiple at once.
Preferred balance - I have no clue what to look for in this type of thing, so I guess I have no preference? Or at least I don't mind purchasing something that I might not like since I could always return or resell what I get to other people I know.
Music genre - My top 3 are definitely hip-hop, pop, and rock, but there is also a slim amount of edm and metal thrown in there as well.
Past gear - The only thing of note that I used to have is a HyperX Cloud II gaming headset that I passed down to my little brother.
Sorry If I ramble or put to much into this post, but I have recently been able to save up more money, which I plan to spend on my first pair of nice headphones. Currently using some 3 year old skullcandy(sorry!) earbuds. I have basically zero experience and knowledge in this type of thing so any suggestions are appreciated. What little I do know came from a friend of mine who went through a similar process.
From random youtube videos I have seen a huge amount recommended in my budget range, from beyerdynamics, to audio-technica, to sennheisers, and it has become a bit overwhelming to navigate on my own, thankfully I have you guys to help me out :)
One thing that I would like is a nice cable since my current skullcandy cable is janky and gets caught on anything and everything. Maybe what I'm looking will end up having a nice cable anyway, but definitely something to keep in mind. A recommendation to a 3rd party cable that I can save up for and purchase later would be a great alternative too.
EDIT - Sorry for any confusion I caused from using the wrong flair, I do need Closed-back headphones, not open-back as i wrongly suggested in the flair.
So I do recommend you spend maybe 30$ but the return is nice. Go to Walmart online (do NOT BUY THE EARBUDS/HEADPHONES FROM SKULLCANDY!) buy some cheap buds/headphones and go to eBay and buy the box for the best buds/headphones for this years lineup. Then put the cheap buds/headphones loosely in the package and return them directly to Skullcandy. Iβve done this and scored me a nice pair of evo crushers. Skullcandy is such a good brand so when you get the new ones you will get a new warranty so at the end you can swap em out with newer ones. Use at own risk (low but there is one)
Edit: I see a lot of controversy over if this works and that Skullcandy is pretty shit. Skullcandy does have its flaws such as not being suitable for rap. The bass isnt suited for rap, Iβve found this by asking friends and listening for myself on mine vs a friends AirPods. But because I listen to a lot of rock that doesnt effect me. But this method does work and it takes a few weeks but it is worth h it
Edit 2: they probably donβt have to be Skullcandy, Skullcandy is my personal preference
Hey everyone,
I am looking at Skullcandy Crushers to purchase and have the Evo and Standard Wireless version to purchase for a small price difference. I plan to use them wirelessly with my phone but wired with my laptop for gaming reasons but I have heard that they have have a "hissing" noise when used wired and turned on but I can only find posts for the Evo versions, I have not found a single post for the standard version with this hissing issue so could anyone confirm that the standards have a hissing issue in wired mode for me?
Thanks!
I wanted to buy the Skullcandy Crusher EVO but after some reading I just didn't want to buy them cause they don't sound good, only bass. But I would love a headphone that sounds good and has bass like the Skullcandy and has app equalizer control. Thanks!
I got the headphones for a christmas present but sound comes out of one side. The bass works on both sides just not the sound on one side. Is there a way to fix it?
Also, ughβ¦β¦β¦β¦
Hi all. Around 8 months into owning Skullcandy Sesh Evo headphones and the left ear just doesn't make any sound. I tried resetting both headphones with instructions for the same issue, is there any other fixes anyone knows of or are these just physically broken?
I've had my Indy earbuds for about a month or two now and they recently stopped working (kind of). I can't hear anything through my right Indy earbud. The problem with this is that they aren't in mono mode and I have tried to remove mono mode just in case they are. I can see the bud is on and the problem started when the volume on the right bud started playing very low. I can't return them at this point, what might me the problem? Help.
Sorry this was so long ago, but I am trying to connect my left headphone and it wonβt working. The light doesnβt come on at all on the left one, while the other turns white and red. Do you think itβs just broken?
I tried reset, but it's not working. Charging red light is glowing, but after taking the earbud out of the case white light indication is not glowing. Please give me a solution.

I see Amazon and Reddit saying they stop working etc. pretty sure itβs real but just asking cus I was about to buy. I have Soundcore 3 already was tryna find a better option that has shaking bass earbuds
Has anyone used these for gaming? I'm looking into headphones right now for potentially purchasing a new pair and these cought my attention. What are your thoughts?
Can you also use software to simulate virtual surround? How's the overall sound quality?
I've tried going through older threads, but there hasn't been much discussion, so I though I'd ask again to get some new and more up to date answers, hopefully.
I have had the Skullcandy Indy Evos for a while now and have had an issue with them getting separated several times so that only one side will play at a time. I have read several posts about this trying to fix them but they all go through a bunch of unnecessary steps of taking out of the case, turning on and off, putting back in the case, take one at a time etc etc... Well here is a much simpler and easier solution
While holding the buttons for 10 seconds in Step 3 you should hear each headphone say simultaneously:
After the 2nd power on release both headphones.
When pairing them in Step 4 your device may have a popup confirming you want to pair Twice.
I hope this helps anyone having issues!
I've had my crushers for a year now, and every once in a while they'll randomly disconnect from my PC and when I go to reconnect them, it refuses to reconnect. I try to disconnect the headphones, restart bluetooth, unpair, repair, hold the + and - to reset the headphones, restart my PC, and normally both my PC and Phone wont connect to the headphones at all, I have to let the headphones sit for a while off (an hour or two) then retry pairing before they start working again. But now my pc randomly disconnected from my headphones and my PC literally doesn't even see it on the bluetooth pairing menu, however when I go into bluetooth on my phone, it connects JUST FINE! It's been quite infuriating having my headphones randomly disconnecting while gaming or even at one point during a online class. How do I fix this?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
I recently bought a set of Skullcandy crushers and while they sound great on my phone, both wired and wireless, on my PC they sound awful and have a constant quite static, i think i know the problem but i wanted to ask here before i spend my money to try and fix it
Awhile ago my built in sound card on my motherboard and ive been using a usb soundcard since, i just wanted to know if this could be the cause.
Won $20 from the tim hortons roll up but have nothing to use it on.

Title says it all pls help
I'm talking like a noticeable hissing/ static sound that's there just before audio is played, while it's playing and 5 seconds after until it's off.
EDIT: Codes are gone.
As the title suggests. The digital codes are good on SkullCandy.ca. They sell audio stuff like headphones and earbuds. They also sell a wireless charger and portable battery chargers, so thereβs a little more than just audio.
Please post a reply here first saying you want the code, then DM me. I will ask a generic question just to make sure youβre human π. If passed, I will reply the code to you (just so that others can see that Iβm being transparent. π Also because of bots).
First come, first serve. π
