I've been designing dinosaurs all month! The plesiosaur and the pterodactyl are even no-sew patterns, and the triceratops isn't being launched until Thursday but I got over excited and wanted to share them somewhere :D Each incorporated a "fancy" stitch - waffle, puff, rib, and shell!

Shell stitch increase

How does one increase shell stitch other than increasing the amount of dc? I am making a mermaid tail and want to increase towards the top. Making more dc in each shell seems to buckle/warp the work and creates large holes.

Figuring out the fan stitch- help needed! I think it starts off with a 2 double crochet shell (2dc, ch2,2dc) and then fpdc in the first dc, dc in dc, a 2dc shell, dc in dc, fpdc repeat, and then adding to the dcs which form each peak. If someone has more insight, that would be amazing!
