Setoff Puns

Might be redundant here, but I want to know how the offset spray powder is manufactured.

Been digging for quite a bit, and only came across 1 patent that use wax (expired already) to make coated powder. Other than than, all I can found is "modified starch, edible starch, starch, dextrin variety."

If only for normal offset run, brochure and such, not aiming at food packaging, can just normal edible starch (uncoated) be used? Of course the starch has to goes through the shifter to classify the micron sizes.

Open to new information.

How to turn normal starch into starch + slipping agent/silicone?

Better if someone want to make a small venture to make offset powder where corn and/or other type of starch is readily available like the US.

Question - I had my student loaned charged off and sent to collections agencies.

The bank then used right of setoff to take some money out of the account.

Can they still do this after the loans were charged off and sold to collections?

Trump seems to be seriously inching towards pulling out of the WTO and/or tariffing Mexico and setting off a trade war with them. I can't help but think that the economic damage from such a move could be disastrous for GOP congressmen trying to get reelected during the midterm election. Also, a trade war with Mexico would disproportionately impact rural farmers from the red bible belt, since Mexico imports a lot of corn and grain. Historically, the reason for this is that American dumping practices killed off Mexico's farming industry, which led to their reliance upon foreign imports.

Could the Republican congressmen, fearing an economic backlash, put sufficient pressure on Trump to prevent him from starting trade wars? Alternatively, could they spin this to blame democrats or be hoping to renegotiate better treaties? Basically, to what extent do you think the GOP is actually going to back Trump on a trade war?

I got this in the mail today. It’s a dark yellow paper. Apparently I had some left over debt from college I forgot about but I’m not sure what this letter means.

It says that my tax refund payment has been matched with the debt I owe and the setoff program intends to apply that money towards my debt.

“Payment Type: Individual Tax Refund” “Amount available for setoff: $42.00”

What I don’t understand is I already got my tax refund in January and non of it was taken away from me.

On the back of the paper it says my debt balance is $1,251.88

Hello everyone. I’m confused on which one to use. How can i say when i want to set off a gain against a debt?

According to my attorney, my particular credit union (which I have a CC with) has got setoff rights, and can/will take what little money I have in my account with them to offset my debt. She also said they are not a CU that will lock me down/out when I file, so I can still deal with them when this is over.

She suggested opening a bank account elsewhere to use temporarily until I am discharged. I was looking at using something like Simple, which has what looks like an app that I can do everything through. There's another local credit union, but their hours are abysmal, I'd never be able to get there outside of work hours to open an account. Chase etc charge fees and I'm not having that. I know they wave them for direct deposit but I don't know if I should even bother setting up DD for another account or just stop it till this is over.

If you had to deal with this, where did you go? What were your thoughts and do you wish you'd done something else?

I owe My bank (credit union) about $2,000 and $900 of that is deliquent. My checkings was closed off. I just started a new job and had direct deposit going in my savings account. I've only had two payroll deposits and they took everything, $796 in total, in order to offset the account.

I am left with no money to eat, pay rent, or my phone bill. Is it possible to get refunded some of the money immediately so I can get by until next week ? I told a bank teller last week I just started a new job and will be making weekly payments but to allow me to use some of my money for basic bills and necessities.

I've been thinking a lot about how to have a good gaydar. I know it's a lot of intuition, and if you're gay, you'll probably have a knack for it, but are there any sort of subtle signs that immediately set off the gaydar? Or is it all really just a feeling?

INTRO
Yesterday I started a possible God Tier DD of how the DTC Mafia has expanded his net to EU after WWII and through Spain dictatorship Francisco Franco and Florentino Pérez. I know that is a very deep and large series, that needs much work and more explanation because is something global. This is the first big chapter that tries to show you how actions made on GME saga is a systemic modus operandi of the DTC Mafia and how important is to keep holding until the end, not only for us, but for the integrity of our future.

TL;DR- Credit Suisse, UBS, Auriga, Morgan Stanley, BBVA and J.P Morgan have used the strategy we have seen applied on GME many times. I checked the Spanish bank Bankia scandal, that was merged with Caixabank on 26 march 2021 (how convenient) to show you how it was all fruit of the DTC Mafia.

Get ready because this involves Big short, DTC and GME.

#1 EDIT: My opinion of how is related with GME. (Just for clarification).

DTC participants (Mafia) is using the same exact strategy with other stocks, not only with GME or in USA. Credit Suisse and Nomura holdings were heavily affected by Archegos' margin call (one of GME big shorter). They also are totally involved with Bankia.

I believe that GME has followed the same steps, but now they failed because we entered step 6 and they never expected us to buy&hold and counter it like we are doing. Every single ape buying and holding is a real hero.

Strategy

1- Control the board of directors to make sure they will manipulate the results of the company in your best interest. Make sure is a stock (with an IPO if is a private company) that is complex to understand or that is expected to fail, so if it does none will care.

2- Pump the value of the company with results and mass media manipulation. This way retail investors invest in you and your assets value is hugely inflated.

3- With the assets inflated enough to be too big to fail, you get a huge debt or sell your assets because you will have

The funeral director was asking us what we think Mum should wear in her casket.

Mum always loved to wear sarongs (fabric wraps that go around the torso and drape downward a bit like a long skirt would), so my uncle suggested that she wear a sarong in there.

The funeral director looked a bit confused, as did some of our family members, to which my uncle added:

"What's sarong with that?"

I started laughing like an idiot. He was proud of it too. The funeral director was rather shocked. We assured her, and our more proper relatives, that Mum would've absolutely loved the joke (which is very true).

His delivery was perfect. I'll never forget the risk he took. We sometimes recall the moment as a way help cushion the blows of the grieving process.

First off: Huge congratulations to team T90 for a well executed HC4. So many highlights, good moments and wholesome things. What a tournament.

What do we want to improve for HC5? Let's make the ultimate idea thread so T90 has a great setoff for the next tournament. At this point, when AoE2 is actually a bigger game and there are some tweaks that can be done.

1. How Civ and Maps pick work
   The screen where the players ban and pick civs and maps are not very understandable, even for frequent viewers. It properly should be more clear what "sniping" a civilisation is.

2. Map drafting
   My personal biggest issue with this tournament. I don't like the home map advantage if you lose, that in the end can give you the victory. I believe in a draft system (pick one, ban one, pick one) and then a fixed order for those maps. The current system might lead to unfair situations and it is not very understandable. The draft can also be made visually interesting. It follows more hero picks from Dota 2, which leads to interesting and dynamic situations – and easier to counterpick etc.

3. New maps shortly before tournament
   Overall I am also not sure if the quality is lower when introducing new maps weeks before. I think I prefer when they are more practiced from everyone – due to better AoE2.

4. Interactive start of games
   I believe the drafting, civ picks and everything – could be an obvious area for creating some extra stuff. I do also understand it adds to the time and makes it longer.

5. More casters
   Huge respect to T90 for going through this tournament casting all the games. I think it's reasonable to explore a way where he can skip some games and get rest in between – it would properly lead to more a high energy level throughout everything. It's a shame they are a bit "burned out" for the finals.

True story; it even happened last night. My 5-year-old son walks up behind me and out of the blue says, "hey."

I turn to him and say, "yeah, kiddo? What's up?"

You officially hit rock bottom

Deaf person here who finally is getting my own smoke/carbon monoxide detector for the first time. I made a wonderful risotto but then it setoff the alarm and I apparently didn't know for 5 min which is too long.

I have Nest Protect which I love but the iPhone alert is not going to cut it if I am sleeping or have my hearing aids off while cooking and not looking at phone.

In addition to be hearing challenged I am home appliances challenged....and a bit overwhelmed by the choices. Also, can I attach a strobe light to my Nest? Is that a thing? Do I need to have vibrations in my bed?
