A list of puns related to "Salomon's House"
Where: Southern Yosemite High Route
When: July 24 2021 - July 30 2021
Distance: Approx. 60mi
Conditions: The first few days and nights were mild, the later in the week the harsher the weather. Overall it was more likely to be overcast or rainy than not, and the storms were long and frequent for the season. Temperatures were generally cool for daytime, and oddly warm at night even under clear skies.
Useful Pre-Trip Information or Overview: Andrew Skurka's Website and guide.
Day 0 - Saturday the 24th - Fresno to Tuolumne Meadows
My hiking partner and I stayed with friends outside of Fresno and in the morning drove to the park via Highway 41. There was almost an hour long line to get into the park and they were checking for reservations, plan accordingly if they still are doing entry permits. We picked up our wilderness permits in Wawona and drove to Tuolumne Meadows. The store sells beer in singles which helped the night pass a little better because the Backpackerβs camp was a poor experience. My partner and I were in bed by 8:30 when it was dark but there was lots of loud chatter, people flashing blinding headlamps, and slamming the bear boxes well past hiker midnight. Next time Iβll find a way to skip the backpackerβs camp if at all possible.
Day 1 - Sunday the 25th - Tuolumne Meadows to Cathedral Fork of the Merced
5:30 wakeup, we seem to have been the first out of camp, I guess everyone was up late. Our permit starts us at Budd Creek, so we follow the JMT westbound to Budd Creek and stop for breakfast before setting off in earnest. Oatmeal is so awful, why did I think I would like it this time? The off-trail begins through forest, then on some fairly steep slabs. We slowly work our way up intending to head for Budd Lake, then to Mathes Lake but in a gametime decision instead opt to pass between Cockscomb and Unicorn Peak and then down to Echo Creek. It turned out to be a good call but the downclimb to Echo Creek was pretty long and tiresome. We both feel like we are sucking a lot of air and we are not used to the altitude yet. We stop for a snack and a rest at the creek and no sooner do we pack up than the gloomy skies turn stormy. First we stop under a tree, but then we decide to set up the shelter. About 40 mins pass and the rains end so we continue on. An unmapped trail on the east side of the creek gives us smooth travel for a short while,
... keep reading on reddit β‘I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Quick Background: I am a 273mm low volume foot, and I absolutely love the size 43 M12 because it fits me PERFECTLY with the stock liner. But it's a little too flexy, noisy, and the soul is a little slow. I have tried Valo souls and recently got some Mesmer Thrones and now I'm spoiled on faster soul plates, a little more support, and a lot less noise, but I just don't love the fit of the Mesmer. It's hard to top perfection. I want that solid Mesmer feel with the fit and comfort of the M12. So I'm looking at 909s for some reason now. The Mushroom blading guy said it feels like a cross between an M12 and Salomon, and that got my attention.
Can anyone compare the fit and feel of a medium 909 vs a US 10 / EU 43 M12? Recommend a liner that locks in the heel like the M12? Cost isn't a huge barrier here, because I'll possibly resell the Mesmers anyway, but if I keep bringing new pairs of skates in the house my wife might kill me. So I just need to get it right. π
Alternatively, maybe I just wait out COVID and hit up a shop some day. I travel to the Netherlands for work occasionally, so maybe I can visit Thisissoul and get a dialed fit.
The nurse asked the rabbit, βwhat is your blood type?β
βI am probably a type Oβ said the rabbit.

Alot of great jokes get posted here! However just because you have a joke, doesn't mean it's a dad joke.
THIS IS NOT ABOUT NSFW, THIS IS ABOUT LONG JOKES, BLONDE JOKES, SEXUAL JOKES, KNOCK KNOCK JOKES, POLITICAL JOKES, ETC BEING POSTED IN A DAD JOKE SUB
Try telling these sexual jokes that get posted here, to your kid and see how your spouse likes it.. if that goes well, Try telling one of your friends kid about your sex life being like Coca cola, first it was normal, than light and now zero , and see if the parents are OK with you telling their kid the "dad joke"
I'm not even referencing the NSFW, I'm saying Dad jokes are corny, and sometimes painful, not sexual
So check out r/jokes for all types of jokes
r/unclejokes for dirty jokes
r/3amjokes for real weird and alot of OC

We told her she can lean on us for support. Although, we are going to have to change her driver's license, her height is going down by a foot. I don't want to go too far out on a limb here but it better not be a hack job.
Ants donβt even have the concept fathers, let alone a good dad joke. Keep r/ants out of my r/dadjokes.
But no, seriously. I understand rule 7 is great to have intelligent discussion, but sometimes it feels like 1 in 10 posts here is someone getting upset about the jokes on this sub. Let the mods deal with it, they regulate the sub.

Don't you know a good pun is its own reword?
But let me give it a shot.
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.

No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
