A list of puns related to "Rick Nowels"
I assume that everybody knows that Rick Nowels has had at least one song on every single LDR album (not talking pre-BTD albums).
This in itself isn't that unusual. Rick is a great song writer and is the most frequent LDR collaborator overall. But what strikes me as odd is the inclusion of exactly ONE Nowels song on both Chemtrails and Banisters. Chemtrails was ALL Jack Antonoff except for the Nowels song "Yosemite". And on Banisters they included the old Nowels song "Cherry Blossom".
So, that led me to wonder whether Lana is under some contractual agreement with Nowels that I don't know about? I know that my favourite band - Pet Shop Boys - had such an arrangement with their early producer Bobby Orlando, where after they split from him, he would be guaranteed to have a song on each of their first two studio albums.
...or is this just some weird coincidence?
Chemtrails over the country club is one of my all-time favorite Lana songs but I can't help but think that the gorgeous lyrics and waltzy melodies in this song wouldn't have been better suited for one of Rick Nowels huge, complex productions with the beautiful strings and booming drums like in Born To Die. The Jack Antonoff version lends a different quality to the song which is good and is sort of understated and hypnotizing, but it also kind of limps along until the second chorus where it picks up a bit. It's a beautiful song and I like it as is, but I also wish Rick Nowels could do a separate version. Opinions?
I'm just curious seeing that with NFR she went with Jack Antonoff, do you think that she will collaborate with the producers of BTD, UV , HM etc again in the future?
I love their instrumentals and I think that they captured her sound completely.
Iβve been following Rick since his songs with Dido, and when I discovered he helped Lana with some of her best work, it made so much sense!
He mostly helps with structure and chords while Lana handles melody and lyrics... hereβs a semi-recent interview of him talking about their process during LFL era-

Definitely a deserved honor for him! Iβm sure Lana will be a strong candidate as well, in 2032 when she meets the criteria for a nomination.
Rick Nowels is a legend. I will always be grateful for everythig that man did to help Lana to find her unique sound. They both created her own genre in music industry and it changed the pop/alternative music forever. I just wanted to mention that now because even though Jack produced our latest masterpiece, which also deserves all the respect and recognition, Rick was THAT guy that turned her into the iconic "Lana Del Rey" legend.
Lana and Rick Nowels are going to put out another album, and it will catapult her even higher, beyond her current God status.
Think Madonnaβs βPower of Goodbyeβ, combined with Honeymoonβs religion and the glory of Ultraviolence.
Let's see...
one of the reasons lana is one of my favorite artist is her lyrics but idk if she ever talked about the process behind the songwriting does anyone know?
Iβm surprised Jack isnβt on Blue Banisters - Iβm sure they recorded a bunch of songs that didnβt make it to NFR and Chemtrails and we all know that most of the songs on Blue Banisters are mostly Lanaβs old demos.
Jack has become Lanaβs go-to producer for the past 3 years replacing Rick Nowels. Even Rick Nowels has a song on Blue Banisters!
I wonder if itβs because Jack was too busy producing records for Lorde and Taylor so Lana took her songs to other producers? Are they still on good terms? I assume they are because Lana was on Bleachersβ new record but yeahβ¦ just find it a little odd that Jack isnβt on Blue Banisters.
The second round is a magic place that is mostly forgettable and occasionally franchise altering. For this list I only took people who drafted in the NBA in the second round, so no ABA drafts and third+ rounders. Please enjoy:

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Hope people still enjoy these posts every year. Back again to update it all (short) offseason long.
