A list of puns related to "Repertory"
I have been getting more and more addicted to classic movies. After watching Casablanca and Ikiru, I started to wonder what these movies would feel like in a theatre. Unfortunately, due to Covid, these amazing establishments that play these movies are temporarily closed and do not show signs of reopening. Living outside of NYC doesnβt help either. Any thoughts or ideas on whether these establishments will survive the pandemic??
Hello actors; I am the host of a Discord group where we meet up weekly to do readings of Shakespeare and numerous other authors both contemporary and classic. Today we read the first act of The Lion in Winter with fabulous foreign accents.
We are a fun loving open community and our very spontaneous and can be expiremental in our readings. We want to welcome new actors to join our discord with a reading of Shakespeare's romantic comedy Much Ado About Nothing.
There are no tryouts and you can claim roles by request. We will be reading Saturday the 8th at 1 PM ET. If interested please follow the link below: https://discord.gg/mcacBZJE
Looks like the album is coming soon! Hereβs the supposed tracklist judging off this recent development
Since I've started playing Chess properly I've been looking for the equivalent of a chessbot that would play the best main moves out of an opening to help me memorises and analyse games. But it doesn't appear like a such a thing exists?
Using stockfish can obviously help in analysing games, but I find out of the opening I want the be best principled human moves in the the spirit of an opening.
Otherwise is there a good source to download mainlines and tricks etc to use in something chess tempo? I'm definitely not at a level to building my own repertories and I can't read notation fluently so it's been a bit of a challenge.
I remember using it a lot when I lived here a couple of years ago. It had a simple layout and basically showed you all the classic films that were screening in the city that day.
Hello to all you fine actors out there. As a long-time member of the Shakespeare Online Repertory Theatre, I wanted to let y'all know about how just an amazing opportunity it's been for me and that we want more actors!
We're a Discord server that's been around a while, and as the name implies, we love Shakespeare ... but that isn't all we do. Lately, we've been reading Chekhov, Shaw, Williams, and this weekend we're doing The Importance of Being Earnest. Huzzah! We still have some outstanding roles though, and we'd love to invite some fresh new voices in to fill those and participate in future play reads and projects.
We're open to any actor 18+, amateur or professional, who has a decent internet connection and a working mic (doesn't have to be fancy, trust me), and who is willing to give their best, play, learn, grow, and support their fellow actors! I like to think of us as a sort of sandbox theatre, where we're free to experiment and take risks, as well as propose new projects and make connections with actors, directors, and other theatre professionals around the world (we're mostly US folk at present, but have some people from other countries too).
Through this group, I've been able to add new things to my resume, made some invaluable connections, learn and practice new accents, get to know many plays I didn't know before, play against type and discover characters I had no idea I could do, and truly grow as an actor. And of course, I've made some great friends too ... and simply not gone crazy during quarantine.
I'm not being paid to write this, just really love my group and we want it to grow! If this sounds up your alley, just message me with your favorite play and number one dream role (so I know you are real!), and I'll share the link. Thanks!!

BIKEMAN
An Immersive Audio Event
By Tom Flynn
Directed by Joseph Discher
Produced by Robert Cuccioli
Featuring Robert Cuccioli withΒ Steven Eng, April Ortiz, and Richard Topol
Available On Demand from September 11 β 18, 2021
On September 11, 2001, journalist Tom Flynn set off on his bike toward the World Trade Towers not knowing what he was riding into. Bikeman is one manβs journey back to the horrors of that day and to the humanity that somehow emerged from the dust and the death. Both heartbreaking and haunting, his words will stay with you like that βforever September morning.β β Meredith Vieira, NBCβs Today.
Modeled on Danteβs Inferno, veteran journalist Thomas Flynnβs Bikeman chronicles the morning of September 11, 2001, like no other published work. Flynn delivers a personal account of his experiences beginning with the first strike on the World Trade Center when he decided to follow his journalistβs instinct and point his bikeβs handlebars in the direction of the north tower. His story continues as he transitions from reporter to participant hoping to survive the fall of the south tower. Now Flynn, as both journalist and now survivor, must come to terms with the harrowing ordeal and somehow find peace in the very act of surviving.

Any particular music you would like to listen, dance or play along?
Slim chance, but if there are any blankies who live near or in Manchester, UK and would like to attend, then the link is below.

Also would like to mention that the idea for this pairing came from the Something Wild BC episode with Scott Aukerman, when the guys were comparing this to other genre/tone shifting films like SW inc After Hours and Blue Velvet. So thanks for the inspiration Griffin and David, and for introducing me to this great film.
First I grabbed random songs to check if the numbers were chronological (it was, though ignore the exact dates I know a few are wrong.. It looks like a few were registered a bit before releasing but generally it is in order).

LIR Era is 890-----
VTW/TPLT Era is 891------ / 892-----
LIR2 Era is 893-----
OG EA Singles Era is 895----- / 897-----
EA/VTW2 Era is 907-----
PxBP Era is 910-----
Current Era is 911-----
So using this information, I searched page for "911-----" and only things to pop up was: Yeah Kool, Lowkey, There She Go (feat), etc... BUT there was only one song that was not released which was Movie.

It is to note that songs like 1600, Firearm, Bando, I'm So Gone, etc are also registered but I found this interesting to say the least. I was not sure who the other person credited on Movie was (assumed producer), so I hit his name and found this:

Which is kinda obvious, but this proves that it is definitely the MV Movie snippet and not something like Lifes a Movie etc.
So overall, nothing else was new or registered besides the features that have dropped the last few weeks, but Movie is at least registered and potentially dropping.
BONUS
I was looking at different songs obviously, but I noticed FAYC was registered Post EA (same time I remember seeing it forever ago, so maybe it was just updated or something). Not sure what this means but some 1017 songs were Post EA as well.

Finally, I was looking at alternative song titles for songs and found this:

... keep reading on reddit β‘Anyone know of any websites that lists in one place which repertory movies around the cities are showing at which theaters without having to check every theater individually?
Also, does anyone know if any local theaters plan to do a screening of Fellowship of the Ring for the 20th anniversary this fall/December?
There is no better way to study homeopathy by writing your own materia medica and repertory (despite of making "provings" and learning from real cases).
The reason is that you learn fast how difficult it is to write down all these symptoms, especially for remedies known as polychrests. Do you really want to write 5000 plus symptoms for Nux vomica and 6000 more for Sulphur? You will soon learn what distinguish one remedy from another, what symptom is of higher value, what the essence of a remedy is.
During a phone call with one of my uncles in Italy I discovered that he studies homeopathy too!!! He told me that he collected so many notes from his praxis, that he wrote an entire "clinical materia medica". I first could not believe it, so I chatted with him about this and that remedy, and he has a profound knowledge. He can tell you every strange aspect, every keynote, the essence and the particular. Great. He told me that by writing all his thoughts down he could remember them a lot better.
Which software can you use?
Excel (or some open source free variant like libre office) is a good way to start. There are other types of databases, like Access which have the possibility to use it as repertory too. Or you can just write down everything in a simple text document (*.txt), one for each remedy, and then you can search using the Windows (or other OS) search function.
If you are a software developer, think about creating one. This is a good exercise for gaining better programming skills.
