A list of puns related to "Public Transportation System"
Just thinking about the changes climate change will bring to our daily life, and how fossil fuels play a big role in that. Also, personally, I think if we used public transport more frequently, we'd have more room for parks and greenery.
Iβm an exchange student who arrived in Edmonton last week and iβve already paid this termβs fee for the U-pass but how do i use it, i didnβt receive anything ? I read that i should get an Arc card and that it will be distributed at student life central but i have no idea where this is, is there any other way ? (I wrote to Upass@alberta but no answer yet)
Thanks !
##General Info
The best way to travel around Munich β besides using your own feet β is the public transport system consisting of the urban rapid rail trains (S-Bahn), subway (U-Bahn), the tram and buses. There is only one ticket system, called MVV, which means you can use all elements of the public transport system with the same ticket. You can get individual, group, day and week tickets. The U-Bahn stations are signed with a white capital "U" on a blue background IMAGE. S-Bahn stations are signed with a white "S" on a green background [IMAGE)(). All S-Bahn lines join in one tunnel (Stammstrecke - stem line or more idiomatically trunk line) between the stations DonnersbergerbrΓΌcke and Ostbahnhof in central Munich.
The Munich MVV website includes maps of the U-Bahn, S-Bahn, tram and bus network, maps of the P&R parking decks, pricing information as well as timetables and a journey planner. The official urban rail-network map is indispensable.
Urban rail network map Single trips in a single zone such as the city center (zone "M") cost β¬3.40, but the five-zone journey from the airport is a whopping β¬11.90 (Nov 2021). Thus, if you arrive at the airport and intend to explore Munich by the public transport system, the best option is to buy a β¬13.20 "M-5" day pass (an inner district day pass is β¬7.90). If you are not travelling alone, then you can purchase a group ("Partner") day pass for β¬24.70 (inner district only β¬15.00), allowing up to five adults to travel together on all lines of the MVV system. There's also an "Airport-City-Day-Ticket" available for individuals (β¬13) and groups (β¬24.30) which is basically the same as the day pass.
##How to use our Ticket system
Determine your starting- and end-point. Plan your rout with the help of the MVG travel App. The app also shows you ticket options, but more on that below.
Look on the Map in wich zones your start- and end-station are located.
Now you can proceed to buying the right ticket. For that you need to ask yourself:
itβs awful here, completely unreliable and itβs impossible to really get around. for such a big city itβs rlly bad. you donβt rlly have a choice but to drive everywhere hereπ midwest america moment
I don't know if this is just me, but Minich public transportation system is terrible lately. Almost every second day I waste at least 30 minutes to go to work, because of late ubahns. And the ticket price is just going up and up. I hope that someone is looking at this and creating pressure to try to make this better, it is just getting worse and worse.
Booking the hotel and I donβt really want to blow a ton of money buying one on the strip, the plan is to stay somewhere quiet and travel to the convention center on the day of the show.
Two questions: whatβs a nice hotel, away from the chaos? I donβt need a Hilton but I also donβt want a Days Inn.
Is the public transportation in Vegas reliable? Or should I budget for Lyft/Uber?
Sorry for the basic questions, didnβt see a recent thread on these things.
I found an apartment that makes me need to take bus 93 to go to work Two questions How to get the pass for bus and if you know the price? Does it run on early morning on Saturday? Around 6 am?
Thanks!!
I live in SΓ£o Paulo, and I was just thinking the other day about this. SΓ£o Paulo has an underdeveloped and often malfunctioning subway system, but I still have the feeling that a lot of people prefer using it rather than the madness that is SΓ£o Paulo's traffic. Also, the one absolutely redeeming quality I can think about it is that it is undeniably clean (specially compared to other subway systems in the world).
Does your city have a subway?
Hi, Virginians! How's it going?
I'm a New Yorker living in Georgia and hoping to move to Virginia this year. I never learned how to drive, so I rely on public transportation. What area(s) would you recommend to someone like me? This has been surprisingly and embarrassingly difficult to research, lol.
eta: Just looking for advice on public transport, not an alternative to public transport. I get car sick really easily and am not looking to learn to drive.
