A list of puns related to "Protrusion"
There's little to no post on bimaxilliary protrusion and I wanna know if it could be corrected early on. If you've corrected your protrusion through mewing, please let me know. No one wants to go under the knife to help with it.
I've recently looked into entelodonts, and I've found it strange that restorations always include the very obvious lateral bony protrusions on the skull as just that - a weird bump under the skin. Example of such a reconstruction can be seen here.
This smells to me like textbook shrink wrapping, but I can't quite figure out what purpose would such a bony bump serve. It's quite prominent, yet restorations barely acknowledge its existence beyond "yup, it's there, it's a bone, we don't care".
Does anyone know of any kind of research into this? Is this an incorrect interpretation, or do entelodonts just have a weird skull? Lastly, if you had to speculate, what would the purpose of that bone be, seeing as how I'm not aware of any animals, particularly pig-relatives, that possess this feature?
For the record, I'm a layman, I just found this interesting.
EDIT: Warthogs have a much much less pronounced bump of different profile, which houses their warts, but I don't think that's the same structure - the protrusions on entelodonts' skull extend widely out, and curve down, as opposed to just being a ridge
Iβm making this in hopes that members with similar problems can use this information as they please.
Background:
Over the course of the past 16 weeks I have had a slight issue with protrusion that Iβve been transparent about in past posts. I was never too concerned with the aesthetic appearance of my flaccid state nor was it too I aesthetically pleasing. Although a small problem to deal with, I still wasnβt completely satisfied with my results.
I first noticed the protrusion way back within the first week or two directly post op. During a nightβs sleep, I had expected painful nocturnal erections as per the post op manual, but one of happened to be accompanied by a very very good dream. A painful dream nonetheless. The following morning I didnβt think anything of it as I was still required to wear my URO wrap day and night until week 2.5. Once I noticed it I became concerned and was undoubtedly one of my low points in my healing process.
Acceptance:
After discussing with Elistβs office they stated the protrusion issue would go away as my sutures dissolve and the implant loosens allowing my penis to elongate. This made me hopeful, but... Iβve seen and heard stories of other patients that experience implant protruding years after surgery which also kept my expectations in check.
Solution:
So, I made it a mission to try everything in my power to resolve the problem. I had a consultation with doctor Elist which concluded with an extra bottle of Scarase and a prescription for viagra. Because I had a 2-2.5inch flaccid dick before surgery, and Iβm only 21 my ligament was obviously extremely tight and gravity hasnβt worked itβs course on my suspensory ligament. His goal was to use the Scarase to loosen the tissue surrounding the implant and use the viagra to speed up the process a bit. So, I did as follows:
-2 Scarase pills in morning and 2 at night everyday
-20mg viagra every other day for 30 days
-double wrapped my penis with URO wrap through all hours of the day except showers and sleep.
This ended up working and I no longer have any protrusion problems 16 weeks post op. One very beneficial factor regarding post op recovery is that I live 45 minutes from Elist. This made communication much easier between both parties. So, all in all, I hope this serves well for some experiencing the same problem and if this is really taking a toll on your mental health, maybe this will be the message you needed to hear. Thatβs all, and again stay thick my brethrenπ
Iβm 26 and was told I have this chronic pain. My doctor mentioned this was a condition likely seen in older people, however Iβm significantly younger and do not know what triggered this injury.
I am prescribed Lyrica and anti inflammatory drugs when I have an episode of sciatica. This is usually every 4-6 months.
Does anyone have any recommendations for long term pain management?
Not just after exercise advice. I was hoping I could get some sleeping positions and sitting recommendations too.
Thank you
If you touch it, it feels like a bump on both opposite sides.

In talking with Dr Taj, he said heβs already solved this problem. He said he modified the procedure ~3 months ago and edges are no longer an issue.
He also said I could share that if anyone is thinking of removing their implant because of this, he can easily fix anyone with protrusion issues under local anesthesia and nitrous in the office for $3900.
I have a protrusion on the left side of my penis that is obvious flaccid and erect. Anyone know how to rid of this?
I, 29F, just had a MRI this week after a L5-S1 disc protrusion 3/19 and sciatica for 14 months.
I was ready to get a MD, but my Neurosurgeon called me last night with the MRI results, saying it looked good and that my protrusion is mostly healed and only very slight, with no nerve compression, but significant disc degeneration. I told him I could barely walk to my car after laying flat for 15 minutes for the MRI and that I still had daily moderate sciatica. He double checked the MRI and reiterated that there is no disc compression.
So, surgery is not an option unless I want to go down the route of an ALIF, which has a low success rates.
He said the back pain could be a result of significant disc degeneration and offered more PT or another ESI (my last/3rd ESI had virtually no effect).
I will try PT again, not anticipating it to help, but perhaps worsen my symptoms, as my sciatica will flare with the pt exercises I do at home.
After PT, he said I could visit a pain management clinic if I was still in need of relief.
Why would I still have sciatica if I have no nerve compression? Is it just permanent nerve damage at this point?
Is it possible that Iβm just so weak my back canβt handle hardly any activity and Iβll just have to work through the pain for awhile until Iβve gained enough strength to brace my spine?
Should I get a second opinion? I very much trust my doctor and know him to be very competent.
Thanks! I hope everyone is progressing and feeling hopeful.
So I'm relatively new to the world of disk hernias and protrusions. I have one at L5S1 from 8 weeks ago. Needless to say have the pain down legs gluts and toes. I have pain at the front of my ankles which just doesn't go away, was wondering if anyone else has that?
βThere is disc degeneration at L4-5 and L5-S1 level with a large left foraminal disc bulge at L5-S1 level with narrowing of the left neural foramen with compression of the exiting left L5 nerve rootβ
This is the conclusion of my mri report. Does anyone known if that narrowing part has any symptoms/consequences? Iβm wondering if my pelvic pain and bowl and bladder issues are related
Would fixing the disc protrusion in my cervical spine take care of some of my pain? Itβs annoying trying to drive with my stenosis and radiculopathy!
