A list of puns related to "Prioritise"
I'm thinking of streets like Sydney Rd and Toorak Rd (among others) where trams have to crawl along behind cars sharing the same lane because the street isn't wide enough to give trams and vehicles each their own lane. Often you can have a tram with 50+ people stuck behind several cars with one person each in them. It's madness. And yet there's a whole extra lane they could be using for traffic if they got rid of street parking. That way you could give trams their own priority lane, and cars their own lane. Would make it faster for everyone. Maybe someone could give me reasons why this isn't done.
This is just a rant more than anything.
After reading through some of the AOC apps, a lot of them focus on balancing specific champions i.e how the game can be made more fun for them by making X stronger and Y weaker.
However, what needs to be prioritised over everything else is the player numbers. Assuming 80-90% of people are on steam charts (with the rest from epic games and the scrapped desktop launcher), and generously double that figure to account for the console community, paladins only averages 12-13k players at any given moment. Players are the basis for any game- they provide the money for future content, become part of the communities that keep people coming back, and theoretically improve matchmaking + queue times. Whilst individual balance changes can help make the game enjoyable for some, it's difficult to say everyone will take them in stride- nobody knows what the fucking meta is for this game. Former pro players said on stream saati is mediocre, inara and term are the worse tanks, and burn monster is absolute garbage. Does this agree with your view? As such, hirez needs to be focus on changes that will make the game a universally better experience, which will be servers and bug fixing. Everyone from casual to tdm and bronze to gm will be enjoy the game more when a fucking ash boop actually boops and a bomb king sticky actually sticks, whilst also not being stuck in a loading screen for hours on end.
Therefore, please consider the AOC candidates that prioritise these general improvements. Paladins is now a competitive game with a mostly casual playerbase, so most balance proposals will inevitably be controversial and polarising. Hirez needs to be nudged in the direction of "no brainer this will improve the gameplay experience changes" that can be implemented relatively quickly, otherwise there won't be a playerbase left.
Edit 1: I should also note what I mean by playerbase is the current/existing one. After appeasing the current playerbase, Paladins can then focus on attracting/making the game more accessible to new players, e.g through better tutorials, less bot games, advertising/partnerships etc .

An interesting read about the potential dangers of HPPD that most paychonauts tend to forget to mention when encouraging others to try. Personally, I experience fairly minor effects, now more than a year after last trip. But if I had to deal with "visual snow", cognitive issues, etc on a daily basis, it would be a lot more problematic.
Article mentions correlation between HPPD cases and depression, anxiety and panic disorders - very common reasons why people get into psychedelics in the first place.
Stay safe and Happy Christmas!
My friend & I have a long term goal to work towards being able to duo some 5 star raids. We also have a third friend that can help too but theyβre only level 35. We get itβll take a bit of work. Both almost level 40, we have most of the top attackers (multiple of some) With this goal in mind - Which PokΓ©mon should we be focusing on powering up/ which combination of teams should we aim for? Thanks heaps!
Iβm curious to hear stories of people who have knowingly chosen a life of lower pay, to work a career that theyβre more passionate about. Thanks!
I can understand maximum word counts - universities can only allot so many hours to have staff assess/review what has been written.
I also understand why we have rigorous standards around other aspects of our work, like citation.
However, minimum word counts should absolutely not be a formalised requirement. If a student can make an exceptional point in 500 words but you force them to learn how to stretch that exceptional point across 5000 words, all you are doing is making academia unnecessarily intensive and essentially gate-keeping for people who may be brilliant but uncompromisingly concise thinkers. Academia then becomes about selling your intellect rather than proving it and using it to contribute to knowledge.
I work in postgraduate academia and it is absolutely tragic how many PG students I see who learn very little and subsequently contribute very little to knowledge as well - the bulk of what they learn is how to waffle, and not only is it a waste of time that could be spent making them more employable, but itβs a total waste of these often government-subsidised research programmes that end up progressing academia by the most minuscule amounts.
Students need to learn to focus on concepts, and how to discuss them with concision. Formalised minimum word counts donβt seem to be helping as they used to.
I use Deluge
I have 50 torrents in queue, 48 aren't mine (split between Seeding and Downloading), 2 are
I want my 2 to always be on top of the list of priority to give as much as I can
I've set active torrents to 10 (6 upload 4 download)
It seems to have seeded every torrent it's downloaded so far, but left mine in the dust (despite there beeing 13 leechers on my torrent, and I have 0MB uploaded)
I'd set a seeding ratio, but the problem is that it would take forever until I seed to the ratio I set, so my torrents will be left hanging
Background
Treatment
I don't understand the logic. Am I the arsehole for wanting to prioritise treatment?
Spent a month in Vienna and felt pampered by cars waiting for pedestrians to cross at road crossings. Canβt wait to do it in the UK after years of waiting for cars to pass to cross the road thanks to the new changes in the Highway Code.
This is a situation I deal with a lot so would be interested in knowing how others would approach it.
EDIT: Wow thanks everyone, I was interested more generally but was also curious because my SIL is coming to stay for a month and we only found out two days ago. Still at work so don't have much time.
What great responses! Although I live in a shoebox it takes me a while to clean up, we don't have storage space to put things away and it's difficult to move around the flat to do the cleaning because there's always some piece of furniture or a wall in the way and there's nowhere to move the furniture. BUT the different ways to approach cleaning have really helped. I'm currently three hours in and probably have another hour ahead but I'm not getting overwhelmed like I usually do and it's looking great so far.
Re-prioritise API at least for kills and SOV. In the latest DEV interviews, they mentioned that API will get lower priority and push down the road. Let me suggest why you should think the opposite. This game's success is heavily tied to communities, people, and the ecosystem of EE universe with the primary goal to seize territories and fight other players. The major component of the game should be the ability to show kills, big battle results, wars, SOV captures, and other details on the web. This can hugely increase people's pride in taking fights, competition between alliances, pirates to fight for the most kills or biggest ISK kills, capture big battles results and all of this can be shared on social media to further promote the game.
What do you think, should NetEase do it? What other benefits might API bring?
Should I be using armor with the level around the mission level and does defense matter? Or should I just use the low level armor that has the skills I want?
Married since Oct 20, haven't had penetrative sex. Husband was diagnosed with ED, but doesn't followup with the doc. We have a good life otherwise, won't be easy to divorce due to society (south asian). He is a good guy, but doesn't prioritise this, I am depressed (both virgin, 28 years)
Basically the title.
I'm currently at AR 42. My mains are Rosaria (lvl 70), Xiangling (lvl 64), Noelle (lvl 64) and Barbara (lvl 56). I've got only two 5 stars - Jean (lvl 21) and Mona (lvl 40) and I want to build them later on.
1)1st - Saves
2)2nd- Shares
3)3rd- Comments
4)4th- likes
I got to know about this recently. Before that I used to prioritise the likes and I really got disappointed.
That's why you need to focus on your content. Make list type content like x ways to do _ or how to do x thing.
It can be reel or carousel posts. This increase shares and saves.
While coming to the comments, you need to add call to actions at the end of the every post or captions, like by asking about what they think and comment down or save for later etc.
Well I removed likes option because I am not gettin much likes. And that social proof of less number, can make people to feel like the posts are not worthy.
And if you are having a social proof of more number of likes (umm! may be 100+) then other people might like your posts immediately.
But that 100+ might not be that great number to others. That's y I removed the like option, so that their decision totally depends on their interest. It doesn't depend on the likes on the post.
But in the future if I am getting more likes (don't ask the number I hadn't decided yet. I will off that privacy settings of likes) but this might not be in all posts case. I will think about this laterπ
Just wanted to share this π π
Because many of you guys have answered my questions and solved my doubts. thanx alot for that. Nowadays I am liking the Reddit.
Would also be great if anyone can share some useful openings for Thunderspeaker solo (the first 4-5 turns) - ideally for level 6 adversaries. I know there are a few posts out there but it's always nice to see more perspectives. Which turn do you reclaim?
As Thunderspeaker, I have difficulties balancing Energy and Plays because I seem to so desperately need both for the Innates.
