A list of puns related to "Posthole"
Have 40 years of organic, sustainable, perma experience, in that order. But I never learned masonry/cement. Need advice.
The new garden is well fenced against neighbors marauding chickens. The problem is the most logical place for the 150cm double gate (75cm each) is atop a soft, porous limestone rock. Digging into the rock creates large, fractured holes, much bigger than needed for the posts. Cemented gate posts in the holes and they sway when the gates are opened.
Dig deeper? Dig wider and rely on cement mass to hold the gate posts steady? Drive steel spikes (I have) into the bottom of the holes with protrubing rods to stabilize the cement mass?
EDIT - PROBLEM SOLVED. My gratitude to everyone :-)
Because we would be digging in friable limestone, I knew a 150cm (5-foot) single gate would be a problem. Too much stress on a single gatepost. Decided on 2 75cm (2.5-foot) gates. Pre-made, tubular steel frames with hinges welded to gate posts, flat steel welded to bottoms of post to help secure. Pounded with digging bar about 100 cm (3 feet) into the rock. Filled with pea gravel and mortar. Set well.
3 days later, the right gate was loose; the mortar/pebble solid mass wobbling in hole. Huh? Asked for reddit help and received diverse good advice. Next day went to re-set the posts, and found the problem - right gate fully down and a neighbor's 4-year-old son doing gymnastics on the left gate.
Both gates have been re-set deeper and better employing much reddit advice. Thank you.
Hey guys, recently I upgraded my furnace from newbie grant thompson builds to something more substantial to do larger melts, and I decided that I that I needed big-boy tongs to lift crucibles. I didn't want to spend hundreds on industrial tongs, and I do not currently have the time or budget to invest to pick up welding in order to make my own. Someone on here mentioned posthole diggers, and I thought it'd give that a shot. I found that this Razor-back post hole digger: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Razor-Back-48-in-Steel-Handle-Post-Hole-Digger-78007/205352543 for $62 from home depot is perfectly size to lift a #4 crucible. The shovel jaws barely fit around the sides when open, and then when closed they form fit the outside diameter of the #4 crucible very nicely. My furnace does not have a lot of clearance, maybe 1.5 inches on each size of the crucible, but the posthole digger got in there just fine. Last weekend I did a 5 lb bronze melt and there was no wobble or fear of spilling. I fashioned a simple metal shiv to force between the handles to lock them in a closed position when the jaws are on the crucible. I think this model would be a little big for a #3 crucible, but I'm sure it would work fine.
Just wanted to share. Thanks to all for posting great info here on this sub!

On todays testbed is an RDA by the lovely folks at TeslaCig, the Clapton RDA!
This Tesla Clapton RDA was sourced from Gearbest.com!
Premise.
Tesla is a brand I've always kept an eye on but never really paid much attention to. However strange that may sound, I never considered them to be contenders in the bigger scheme of the vaping market. Though they have some very nice gear in their portfolio, they've never really done anything spectacular in my eyes. That is, until I got a hold of the Tesla Nano 60W which I reviewed a while back. Sure, the temperature control wasn't great. But in wattage mode the mod is really one of the easier ones to carry around, and the trigger button on top is pretty awesome. A small mod with a big LiPo battery, 60W of power, and most importantly the ability to fit a 24mm atomizer without overhang.
And that's where the Clapton RDA comes into play. A 24mm RDA to fit on top of the mod? Yes please!
Let's have a look!

The Tesla Clapton RDA comes in a plastic box similar to the Tesla Nano 60W I reviewed a couple of weeks ago. Though this one doesn't have the screwy thing to hold the device, it does have a foam insert that holds both the RDA and the spare barrel in place quite well. The insert lifts out despite there being no ribbon to pull, underneath you'll find a couple of accessories like a square of Japanese cotton (unpacked so I'm not sure if you should be using it), and a bag of spare o-rings and a set of tiny clapton coils. In terms of usermanual you get a small bifold piece of paper with illustrations of the RDA and its parts.

... keep reading on reddit β‘I have accumulated a few RDAs, but none of them seem to really hit all the marks with me. I have a Vulcan clone, a Vector coming in the mail, a Darkhorse, a Royal Hunter, a Mutation v3, a Plume Veil clone, a Darang clone, and a Mutation v5 clone (which is actually my current favorite). I tend to overdrip so the bottom airflow atomizers aren't really for me. I'm just looking for an RDA with post holes big enough to accommodate dual captions with a wide top airflow. I've been looking at the Sapor and am hoping I like the Vector I have in the mail a little more than the RDAs I have at the moment. Does anyone have any other suggestions as to which RDAs I should be looking at?
Trying to clean this coil up. Velocity clone
I was just wondering what the community opinion is on postholer's sierra entry indicator. On the website I know it says "for entertainment purposes only" Currently the indicator is recommending approx. june 24 ish. Any 2017 late sierra entry hikers have a comment?
