A list of puns related to "Plumbing Diagram"
Seasoned Mechanical/Plumbing guy here. I'm wondering how the other high-level MEP users are handling their riser diagrams.
At first, years ago, we drew them in AutoCAD and linked them in. That sucked for obvious reasons. The line weights needed to be set for each import. Random graphical glitches with the CAD text. The usual BS that makes experienced Revit users treat linked DWGs as a last resort.
So then we started using 3D "isometric" views in our models. The piping and fittings were set to "Coarse" single-line detail. It was great because we could tag pipes and plumbing fixtures in that 3D view and enjoy the BIM goodness of interoperability with the plan and schedule views.
BUT... getting these things to be legible on a printed sheet is a real bear. There's always some non-plumbing object "sneaking" onto these 3D views that doesn't belong. No matter what angle you chose for the 3D view, some piping will be overlapping, fittings and offsets will be hidden, etc. We would have to blow up the view to a very large scale in order to get it to print legibly, and now we're taking 2 or 3 Sheets just to show the Sanitary and Vent riser isometric for a building. I'm the company "Revit Guy", but if I'm objective and set aside my pro-Revit bias, I have to admit that my non-Revit using bosses are right.... they do look like crap. I can easily imagine a plumber taking one look at those 3D views and thinking "WTF is this?"
So this lead me to the heresy of taking a step backward and creating my riser diagrams in Drafting Views. I set up line-based Detail Item families for the various component symbols (P-traps, drains, etc.) and just drew it up "the old fashioned way". I've lost the relationship with the modeled piping, but at least I can show the diagram on a single sheet and have it look like a conventional riser diagram.
So, I just wanted to ping the other MEP People out there. How are you handling these?
Hi. We have an early 1980s house and just trying to work out how all the plumbing connects as we are considering going after some remaining Dux Quest pipe(some has already been replaced). We have the original architects plans, lodged with the council, but there is nothing showing how the piping connects within the walls. Would there have been such a diagram lodged with the council originally that they might still have on file? Cheers.
Hey All,
This year my valentine would like me to prevent the basement smelling like sewage...
So I tore open the stack in the basement, found a cracked pipe from the kitchen sink above, and a smaller leak above itright where it goes through the floor... I think I can handle replacing the kitchen sink stack, but any tips appreciated. I wanted to also check if 1) anyone sees anything wrong with this setup that would allow sewer gas back into the house, and 2) if anyone could help me combine the sink from the drain system on the right to the main drain system and take out the little half wall. Can I just tie in the utility sink drain to the washer or kitchen sink drain?

Thanks for taking a look!
So we have framed and subfloored our bus. Solar is on the way, but now we need to plum. Issue being, our Plummer has asked us to rip up our floor. We are out of current lease at the end of July. Any help is super appreciated!
I've done a bit of basic plumbing, but never a whole house. My fiance and I are building a house, and I thought I'd try to run the plumbing over Spring Break (I teach).
I want to make sure I'm doing things the best way.
Here is the floorplan: http://imgur.com/gallery/1SKwp
Thanks!!
Edit: From the water heater/utility room to the kitchen sink is about 50 feet. I'm wondering if an on demand heater would be best for that sink and dishwasher so we're not waiting a long time for hot water.
Before I call a plumbing professional, I want to know how this leak might be even possible. Due to shoddy caulking I have a little water seeping out where tile meets floor underneath the sink. Obviously, water shouldn't be coming out of there to begin with. This only happens when the shower is on. What's confusing is that the tub cutout area, accessible in the bedroom, shows no sign of water leaking. Any ideas?

Apparently "In old manuscripts, the Mars symbol is usually interpreted as the spear and shield from the war god Mars/Ares."
Couldn't find an explanation of the Venus symbol, but if my symbolism was the norm, then the symbol for feminism is terrible/hilarious.
EDIT: I'm not making a comment about feminism itself.
Iβm not a weirdo, I was drunk. And until youβve had the night I had, somehow spam texting the mosque emoji to your girlfriend while shouting, βTequila and red wine is so a cocktail!ββuntil youβve been there, I ask you not to judge.
If you have been there, youβll know that my girlfriend became my ex-girlfriend that night. Youβll know that neither she nor I are Muslim and that the mosque is in the blurry vicinity of the hospital emoji. Youβll know that Tequila and red wine is not a cocktail. And most importantly, youβll know that at three in the morning, drunk as Saharan bottled water, sushi is sushi is sushi.
I wouldnβt have remembered any of the gas station or itβs dubious offerings except that I thought I saw the guy who played Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies. I tried to play amateur paparazzo, and I left the video on record after my phone went back in my pocket.
The important folks are me, my friend and roommate Benjamin and a very accommodating cashier that Iβm gonna call Leif.
Ben: His hair is white because thatβs an old man, you fucking dick.
Me: Thatβs such a Slytherin thing [I burp] umβ¦to be.
Ben: Heβs got a walker!
Me: Nah. Uh-Uhh. No. Itβs thatβsβheβs a walker on his hands.
Ben: Yes! See! Old manβnot Malfoy.
Me: But broom. Youβre jealousβ¦
You get the idea. I had forced myself into a subhuman hole of obnoxious intoxication and I had found my AARP wizard bad boy, I was damn certain of that. He was my boozy, tinfoil treasure, my starfucked distraction from the crown jewel of my tire fire evening.
Me: Yes! Sushi!
Ben: Dude, no! Gross! This is an Exxon.
Me: 7-Eleven has good Sushi, man.
Ben: One-hundred percent, it doesnβt. And this is a goddamn Exxon station.
I picked it up.
Now, in hindsight, I understand Benβs consternation. He was being a friend. I was repaying him by being that intolerable child at the grocery store whose parents quietly pretend is a ward of the produce aisle. Not a great look. Of course, I had zero capacity for that sort of self reflection in the moment, so I soldiered on with my dream of eating and not getting botulism.
The packaging was simple:
Sushi Connection
HAPPY CHASE ROLL
I found it later on in my apartment and thatβs all it said. No ingredients, no graphics, no barcode. Just black plastic, clear plastic and a sharpied stick-on label. But I wasnβt some deputized food inspector, I was drunk. And hungry.
Ben: Itβs not eve

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
The doctor says it terminal.
I am not a financial advisor. I do not provide financial advice. Many thoughts here are my opinion, and others can be speculative.
I'm personally happy to see that there is a shift from GME DD to macro-economics DD. Because it provides a much wider insight into how the market is behaving, and how GME would NOT be the cause of a market crash. Everything has been a pressure cooker over the past decade, ready to burst, and the new DD provides insight on when things might go down.
The new DD also diverges from the expectations of things to shoot up in price every week, where everyone is watching T+21/T+35/Net Capital cycles. It gives a general "MOASS will most likely occur when everything falls due to liquidation of defaulting Banks / Hedge Funds / Financial Institutions".
It gives me peace of mind, because I do not watch for specific dates around GME to cause the surge. I watch the economy at the macro scale to understand when things could blow.
And to any skeptics - yes, it is possible that GME could never blow up. Do I think it will blow up? Sure I do. But I encourage YOU to read this post, disregarding GME, and to instead understand what is going on with the economy on the macro scale.
Even if the GME play is wrong in your eyes, it is good to understand how the economy could crash harder than it did in 2008. I don't care if you don't believe in GME. I care about you, and don't want YOU to be hurt.
Repo and Reverse Repo might be a bit confusing. You probably saw on this subreddit or in news that the reverse repo market has been blowing up, and it's a bit concerning.
It's not too complicated if you just imagine it between two entities: the Federal Reserve and Banks.
For both Repo and Reverse Repo, it is an agreement between two parties for one of them to sell some security for a price, and they agree to buy that security back at a later date at a higher price based on some interest rate (usually). This is called a "Repurchase Agreement", where "Repo" is a standard "Repurchase Agreement" and the "Reverse Repo" is a "Reverse Repurchase Agreement", the inverse of a "Repo".
The length of these Repurchase Agreements can be various lengths. Such as overnight, one month, three month, etc.. But what we're seeing is

THIS IS NOT ABOUT NSFW, THIS IS ABOUT LONG JOKES, BLONDE JOKES, SEXUAL JOKES, KNOCK KNOCK JOKES, POLITICAL JOKES, ETC BEING POSTED IN A DAD JOKE SUB
Try telling these sexual jokes that get posted here, to your kid and see how your spouse likes it.. if that goes well, Try telling one of your friends kid about your sex life being like Coca cola, first it was normal, than light and now zero , and see if the parents are OK with you telling their kid the "dad joke"
I'm not even referencing the NSFW, I'm saying Dad jokes are corny, and sometimes painful, not sexual
So check out r/jokes for all types of jokes

Hey all,
I'm new to this environment and I have searched as best I can for questions that I have. I think they are relatively basic yet I cannot find a straighforward answer for any. I will try to keep it short as possible. I can whip up a diagram if needed but I didn't think one was necessary given my questions.
I won't bore you with details but for the longest time I have used powerline adapters and they have worked fine. I know it's not the best way to do things, but it was convenient and I didn't have any problems. But for some reason now whenever my central air unit kicks on, it drops the signal so low I can hardly stay connected. I don't feel like trying to figure out why and want to upgrade to something better anyway.
My home is plumbed with cable. I am going to use MoCA devices to get internet to my PC where I prefer ethernet connection. I purchased Hitron Bonded MoCA 2.5 Network Adapters. We just have Spectrum internet with the basic 200 Mbps plan right now and I assume at one point the house may have had TV considering some hardware it has. It currently has an Antronix VRA901 VOIP RESIDENTIAL AMPLIFIER With Power Adapter & Power Inserter.
I also just purchased this PPC brand POE Filter.
My questions are the following:
Is the power inserter required (can I remove it) and still get the same quality of internet through the cables? If yes, do I need to get one that goes beyond 1002 MHz (if that exists)?
Is the POE filter sufficient? I keep reading online about the MHz band for MoCA 2.5, and it's 5-1625 or something like that, yet this and the hardware in the house (splitter/amp and power inserter) only go up to 1002. Will that affect my internet speed through the cables in any way?
I appreciate any input.
Thanks!
Do your worst!

Ants donβt even have the concept fathers, let alone a good dad joke. Keep r/ants out of my r/dadjokes.
But no, seriously. I understand rule 7 is great to have intelligent discussion, but sometimes it feels like 1 in 10 posts here is someone getting upset about the jokes on this sub. Let the mods deal with it, they regulate the sub.
