A list of puns related to "Sanitary Sewer"
As the titles says I have an active sump pump that drains a ton of water when itβs wet out. It probably runs once every 30 minutes on average. Currently it drains to the sidewalk and then goes to the street where it just sits and freezes. Itβs a hazard to cars and pedestrians walking by and can damage the road as well. I want to find an alternative place to drain this water. It canβt go into the sanitary sewer and it is definitely too much water to pump directly out into my tiny property.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can remedy this situation and prevent my sump pump water from going to the street or flooding my yard?
Hey all!
So like the title says, Iβm in the process of getting a proposal together for a local township. Basically trying to get a total GIS for the townships sewer manholes and lines. We would have to go into the field, collect locations and down measurements to determine flow directions. Curious if anyone has any pointers?
Iβm looking to just host everything on AGO and allow access to the township through the Web App Builder feature as that thing is pretty slick. Eventually we would pass ownership of everything from us to the township (have them get the proper AGO accounts and credits).
My question is has anyone done this and how did it go for you? Itβs basically just field data collection and an easy way to access data for the township. But Iβm struggling with how to display flow direction or using this as an evolving database. Basically allowing the township workers to update in the future if there are any repairs made, updates, etc.
Thatβs a lot of rambling but if anyone can offer any piece of advice thatβd be great. Thanks !
Hi Guys,
I need to know how to Estimate the cost of the Sanitary Sewer pipeline. I need to cover almost everything (Pipe size, length, DIA, Depth, Average Depth, Excavation, etc.).
I have never done this before, but I want to learn this.
If someone did by software or excel sheet? Please share your ideas.
Thank you,
Anyone care to answer a few questions about the limitations of the CIPP method for rehabbing <12β diameter clay pipe?
How well does it solve these issues:

Is it possible to tie two 4" sanitary sewer force mains together with a "Y" into one common 6" force main? Due to the scenario, one of the pumps ends up having a high TDH and low flow, but the pumps that have been chosen check out. HOWEVER, on the pump sides of things I'm being told there will be too much pressure at the joining of the mains for both pumps to be running at the same time so only one is able to run as the other can't overcome the pressure of the other to get into the 6" main. Any suggestions or direction would be appreciated. Thanks!
I submitted a permit to the city to do some relatively minor work on my house and received a reply that they want a site plan with the location of existing utilities, specifically those related to sewer and water.
I'm a bit confused...should this not be public knowledge? Is this type of information mapped and available somewhere online?
Below is the message from the city:
Include the location of all existing building sanitary sewer lines and cleanouts (SCH 40 required under and within 2 feet of existing and proposed buildings and structures) and water meter and tap from the structure(s) connecting to the main. Include the location and sizes of all public and private sewer mains, manholes and inlets.

Is it under Durham Ontario, region of-water? For Oshawa ? I canβt go to the bank. I called but the I think the lady wasnβt sure?
Flyer is titled "Keep out the rain", says the city will send a plumber my way because these kinds of connections put strain on the sewer system. Contact lists a kcmo.org email address and claims it is part of the city's "Smart Sewer" program, so I assume it's legitimate. If so, anyone here have any experience using this service? I don't want some underpaid, overworked plumber coming over to half-ass some shit and then leave me stuck appealing to the city to get it fixed (not saying that it would be that way, I'm just wary), but I would also like to do my part, since I know the city's sewers are pretty bad in some areas.
