I love Def Leppard's guitar sound. Specifically Phil Collen's sound. He's one of my favorite and underrated guitarists. I know nothing much about pedals but was hoping to find something that might get me close to the sound on some of those old 80's albums like Hysteria etc. I've got a Blackstar amp and the distortion is great but it's a pretty old school sound imo. Any help is appreciated.

Phil Collen is the current lead guitarist of Def Leppard. He doesn't sing much, but for an example check out his backup on the chorus of the live version of Photograph. It sounds just like Pickles and is very striking! I think Brendon must have just gotten that voice lodged in his brain and used it for Metalocalypse.
