Peninsular Puns

I have been finding for places in peninsular Malaysia for stargazing but there's not a lot near me. I would prefer if it was near to K.L. but not too near. Probrably around 1-21/2 hour drive.

I currently fleshing out a region in my DnD world that’s somewhat of an analogue of Renaissance Italy. It’s an area of various multi-cultural city-states with a big emphasis on trading and seafaring. It was also the seat of an ancient fallen empire that dominated all the territories of the Inner Sea with their use of dragons (dragon riding Romans).

I’ve been having trouble deciding on it’s geographic landmass and I couldn’t decide whether it would make more sense for a dominating empire to be an island archipelago or a peninsula.

How would an island empire different from a land based peninsular empire?

Im currently trying to read through a book and I've came across a word I cannot translate into a way that makes sense. The word is ' colaciones '. I've found it translates to a light meal, snack, candy or ' to collate'. But the sentences are " Al parecer, el señor de la casa, don Diego, se había encerrado en vida tras el fallecimiento de su mujer, y solo en los últimos años se le vislumbraba apenas en algunas de las colaciones de la corte." And " Al parecer, su amistad venía de lejos, ambos habían coincidido siendo jóvenes en algunas colaciones campestres, cuando ella servía en la casa ... "

I can't find these phrases outside the context of the book.

Saw several posts asking orean civilization to be added, but how about the Penisular itself as a playable map? How should it be?

Should the map represent the whole Korea, or it could be separate into a few more maps?

Inland or Coast map?

Lots of mountains full of choke points but build-able lands in limited supply?

Who should be the local village to build trading posts at?

Kimchi as a native tech that boost Farm production, playing on limited agriculture production and the constant need to preserve and stretch food supply since the time of ancient Choson?

(In real life, was it cold, short raining season or lack of cultivable land or something that had the work cut out for Korean farmers compare to Honshu, Yellow River and Pearl Delta counterparts?)

I am from Indonesia, I am used to sunrises and sunsets around 6am and 6pm respectively, which put the "solar noon" around 12pm.

However, Singapore and Peninsular Malaysia, both actually further west than Jakarta, are an hour ahead of Jakarta.

This is even more noticable to me as a Muslim with prayer times, the Maghrib/sunset prayer in Singapore is around 7pm or even later instead of 6pm, and Zohor/Friday's prayer in Singapore is around 1pm-ish (almost 1:30pm in certain months) compared to 12pm back home.

Do you feel like you are in the "wrong" time zone? Or are you so "used" to it, that visiting places where the sun is highest at 12pm would feel out of place?

School at 8am in Singapore would feel like 7am or even 6:30am in Jakarta since the sunrise is around 7am in Singapore and around 5:30-6:00am in Jakarta...

I've been watching Death Note and Detective Conan dubbed in castellano, however these are still a bit difficult. Any recommendations for slice of life anime?

It seems like series like Barakamon and Ouran High School Host Club are only subbed.
