Has anyone else been hearing a strange, loud noise in the vicinity of Greene St. and Morris St. like piercing mechanical cicadas? It's been intermittent but very frequent and began around the morning of 12/17. It's driving me crazy, I feel like my brains are being scrambled

As always, thanks u/rainrafa for the datamine.
Both of them were pretty solid commanders. Is this some Wehrb myth that I missed, something from Halder's memoirs? Balancing reasons? Or just a Stalingrad meme?
Conversely Sepp Dietrich is skill 4 which is mind boggling.
When I think of the sixth army I feel they were doomed either way. Had paulus broken out it seems that the 5000 that made it back to Germany would be a lot lighter in terms of men. I also believe sitting gave the 0% chance of getting momentum. Personally I believe that breaking out was the better option.

I can't find on SCI-hub :/
Is there any written source about that?
By Amelia's there's been this sound the past few days ( not their fault, just a frame of reference) it happened Thursday and Today ( I can't remember if it happened Friday too) but its this sound i tried to find it while outside - i can't describe it - it's like a REALLY loud fridge or so probably a bad description i walked around by amelias' and the light rail and i couldn't tell what was causing it - is anyone else in Paulus hook hearing this?
Just want to know the source
I know people will reply saying that there are always sirens, but there have been many sirens going off for a while - any idea what is happening?
Curious, since it doesnβt seem well attended or publicized.
Edit: We're full up for now, but for those who responded and didn't get a callback (or anyone who responds from now on) I'll send you a message if a slot opens up in the next couple weeks.
The System: This game will be a playtest of "Just Dragons", a full overhaul of D&D 5e. It simplifies a lot of the more complex rules, and re-balances some abilities to allow for more build variety. It also gives the martial classes non-magical spell-equivalents called Techniques.
The Campaign: Nestled in the mountains between the great countries of Rius and Kuvvetev is a strange city called Pevnostora. A major trade hub, it would have been hotly contested by the two empires, were it not for its proximity to Mount Paulus. Every spring, from below its peak flow countless Mountainspawn - strange creatures of stone, ice, and flesh, intent on indiscriminate slaughter. Only the Pevnostora Wall Guard prevents them from reaching the mountain pass and spreading across the continent. And so, none dare wage war on the Continent's only independent city, fearful that doing so would give the Mountainspawn the upper hand.
Recently, injuries and retirements have left the Wall Guard understaffed. Thus, they're training more recruits than usual, and hiring mercenaries too. For those who covet the life of a Guard - three months of danger, then nine months off to enjoy the sizable paycheck - this spring is a grand opportunity.
Of course, any weakness in the Wall Guard is an opportunity for the Mountainspawn as well. But the walls are in good condition, and by next year, the new recruits will be fully trained. All the city needs to do is hold out for the next three months. Right?

Hoc aliqui scunt, quam Paulus "Fiat"
Planning to go to a farmerβs market today! I saw that there are two farmers market open today and they are both similar distances from my house. Which is better?
Does anyone know what time the Paulus Hook ferry to Brookfield Place starts making an extra stop to Hoboken? I seem to remember the cutoff time being 3 pm but I'm not 100% sure.
To whoever it was who was revving their engine SO LOUDLY at 3AM that I heard it through my closed windows and for several blocks as you raced away - could you please try to have some consideration for others? You probably woke up hundreds of people. It's just not a kind thing to do.
Couldn't really tell what block exactly it was coming from but anyone know what it was? My guess was that it was a lost or abandoned dog? It was barking every 15 sec or so. It didn't seem like it was barking from inside a building because the barking seemed to be moving areas.
EDIT: Looks like we're full up for now. For those who were interested but haven't gotten replies yet, I'll let you know if a slot opens up in the next week or two.
