Do you guys think that Hadrian's decision of not completing the subjugation of Parthia was a sound policy or a mistake? Historians said that somewhere the empire had to stop, but sometimes i feel like Rome lost a great opportunity of getting more economic wealth by controlling trade routes to India and China. I mean this was not a poor underdeveloped part of the world like Germania. Was Trajan a visionary and Hadrian a fool?

Recently I've been delving into learning about the ancient Mesopotamia and it had me curious on how would a civilization like Rome or the Parthians view civilizations that were nearly 2,000-3,000 years older than them in how we view the Romans today. Do we have any sources from any philiosphers or scholars of the time in how they saw those distant civilizations?
I'm wanting to attempt to make our friends parthian chicken during our annual holiday get together, however, I'm not going to have access to an oven. I have access to a range, crock pot, and instant pot. Is there a feasible way to make this recipe without baking the chicken in the oven? For clarity I plan to cook different pieces of the chicken and not a whole bird.
