A list of puns related to "Overstuff"
Here is an example of what I'm talking about. You just spam rotate and items will slip into the belt after a couple of rotations. And it doesn't look like it has a limit.

I guess it's more of a feature than a bug.
Bought two lots of vintage Rolling Stone Magazines on ebay. Seller tried to combine the lots in a single package but it came several weeks late with postage due. The attached picture is my mailman asking me what I wanted to do with it. Seller had to refund me $32 to take delivery and lost money on the sale.

I'm looking at a UGQ Bandit Quilt and I'm trying to determine the benifit of upping the fill power. The OZ/$ is too low to justify upgrading because of weight. Currently the specs I'm looking at are: 84" Length 55" Width 10F Degrees 2-3oz of overstuff
What is the packed size of the quilt with that spec at the different fill powers? Will they be dramatically different? I have some money to spend, but I only want to spend if the return is good enough.
Additionally, I'm thinking about adding 3oz of overstuff because:
I'm a cold sleeper. I want to be toasty warm and make sure I can reach 10F in the quilt.
I'm planning on going the AZT and possible more with this quilt and I want to make sure it holds up with months of use without washing. Bandit recommends getting overstuff for this purchase, but I wanted to know what this subreddit thought.
I've heard great things about this quilt and I'm super excited. Thank you for the help.
Even with an accidental glimpse in the proverbial attic earlier this week, it turns out that BritBox UK still managed to hide the presents surprisingly well. And what an embarrassment of riches we have to enjoy today. Let's begin with the things we either knew or had a good idea were on their way.
The 2 original run series of Auf Wiedersehen, Pet were promised way back on the highlights press release for the month. And so, 26 episodes of the hit dramedy series following affable Geordies abroad are now available for streaming.
>Timothy Spall, Kevin Whately and Tim Healy star in this hit 80s comedy-drama about three Geordie bricklayers who head to Germany. Unemployed and hoping for a better life, will the trio find fame and fortune in Dusseldorf?
Next, we have The Dream Machine (1964), the second and last fully promoted addition for the month. As you may have guessed from the date, this is another relatively rare pull from the archive as this 36-minute television programme takes an inside look at how television was made at the time. A must for any budding television historians.
>Go behind the scenes in the early days of TV production to catch a fascinating glimpse of leading entertainment producer Francis Essex at work. Watch as he attempts to assemble his variety show Six Wonderful Girls.
Moving on to some things that weren't quite confirmed but BritBox UK did a bit of a goof, we have several uploads that effectively constitute the "complete" Dad's Army. This includes the main boxset with 76 surviving episodes (including a reconstructed episode in series 2) across 10 series alongside 1971, 1975 and 1976 Christmas specials uploaded separately:
>Donβt panic! Itβs only the full boxset of the sitcom critics' dubbed βcomedyβs finest half-hourβ. Join Captain Mainwaring and his motley band of soldiers who have sworn to protect Queen and country as part of the Home Guard.
>Christmas Special 1971. Captain Mainwaring does his best to dodge a big church parade when the Home Guard are ordered to wear their medals from previous conflicts.
>Christmas Special 1975. Captain Mainwaring has an unexpected and most unwelcome guest in the form of his brother, much to Frazer's delight.
>Christmas Special 1976. The platoon decide to help the
... keep reading on reddit β‘Are you kidding me?! After struggling to both grind and stuff my sausage with the kitchen aid attachment, I found out that I was just overstuffing the chute! I thought that I had to fill it all the way up as I used the plunger. This just gummed up everything, causing the plunger to be really difficult to pull out and for the fat to smear. It would take forever to stuff just a few pounds of meat.
Last night as my frustration was increasing, I tried to stuff just small pieces at a time. What a game changer. So much easier. So much faster. So much happier.
Thought I would share my struggles and triumphs with the kitchenaid for any other sausage newcomers.
If you want that 'overstuffed' appearance, get a smaller bag!
Katabatic Gear Palisade 30 Quilt 6'6" (2oz overstuff) - 21.3oz
Used for ~ 25 nights on a section of the PCT last year, always used sleeping cloths/socks and in very good condition. Love the quilt but wanted some more warmth so I ordered myself a Alsek 22 with overstuff. I babied this quilt, never stored compressed for more than 24 hours, lived in its cotton bag hanging in my closet. Last photo is just to show I actually bought an Alsek to replace the Palisade. Purchased for 435.00, asking for 360.00 shipped. The long size is currently out of stock on their web page: https://katabaticgear.com/shop/palisade-sleeping-bag/ I will ship it in the Katabatic box I just received my Alsek in. Comes with all original pad attachments stuff and cotton storage bag. To clarify, the quilt is the "Long" aka 6'6" version. This is NOT the "Long Wide" version. https://imgur.com/a/qHGe1K5

Since Xmas Iβve been working hard in the gym and logging everything on MyFitnessPal. So far so good, but often times I come home starving at the end of the workday (I exercise early in the mornings before work) and eat more than I should at dinner.
I did it again tonight, but instead of an extra plate of pasta or slice of pizza, I had extra zoodles, cooked carrots, and grilled chicken. I know I ate too much and felt overstuffed afterwards, but for the day I am in good shape with CICO.
Yes, itβs important not to overeat and train your body to be satisfied without being stuffed to oblivion, but do you feel itβs a big deal if one overeats only the good stuff?
According to my calorie counting app, Iβm now at 1200 calories (it brought them down from 1500, 1300, 1200 and now 1195 as I shed weight).
My stomach did shrink and I became quite full eating smaller portions.
However, I do have a terrible habit of overeating if my meals arenβt satisfying (not in terms of volume but in terms of whether they taste good or not or whether that elusive happy satisfied feeling is reached).
For example; A breakfast where I have strawberries, blueberries, a fig and 2 chocolate covered oat and wheat hob nobs with fresh cream followed by black coffee (339 cals) Iβm happy.
Oatmeal with nuts and the same fruits and no dark chocolate square later and Iβm atleast happy that I ate healthy if not thrilled. Having a vanilla dessert pudding(60 cals) later on makes it into the amazing category. Yes, I think I have a sugar addiction.
The worst is when I have food thatβs both unhealthy and not nutritious in the least and also doesnβt taste good or satisfying.
Itβs screwing with my weight loss, and making me feel overly uncomfortably full.
And when itβs dinner itβs difficult because I canβt exercise my calories out which isnβt a healthy way to look at food or exercise. But I use that sometimes if I want to really indulge in cake AND pizza. And have salad to balance out fiber.
Does anyone else experience this?
Iβm thinking of planning out meals as a timetable for a month to solve it.
Has anyone had a chance to use the new quilts? Were you toasty at the spec'd temp?
As many know, Enlightened Equipment went from 10% overstuff to 30% overstuff this year in response to their old temperature ratings being far from conservative. That said, EE still claims their ratings are limit temperatures as defined by EN 13537/ISO 23537.
I'm wondering if the generous overstuff pushes their ratings into conservative territory, so much so that warm sleepers could consider them comfort ratings. Comparing the regular/wide Katabatic Alsek 22* 850FP (conservative rating, widely confirmed by owners) to the reg/w EE Engima 20* 850FP, the Alsek has larger dimensions and 16.2 oz of fill, relative to the Engima's 16.3 oz in a trimmer format.
Many of the bags on this list compiled by the good samaritan redditor whose handle I forget (sorry!) use less fill for roomier formats and get away with a 20* temperature rating. If you've used the 30% overstuff EE quilts, what's your thought on the new ratings?
BAG | COMF RATING | LOWER LIM | WT [oz] | FILL [oz] | DIMENSIONS |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Thermarest Vesper 20 | 32 | 20 | 19 | 12 | 72x58 |
EE Engima 20 Reg/W 850 | ? | 20 | 22.33 | 16.3 | 72x58x42 |
Katabatic Reg/W 850 | 22 | ? | 22.33 | 16.2 | 72x58x48 |
Thermarest hyperion 20 Mummy | 32 | 20 | 20 | 13 | 79x57x50 |
Sierra Designs Nitro 20 Mummy | 28 | 17 | 28 | 14.7 | 78x62x56 |
Side note, therm-a-rest is on one...those weights are a bit too good to be true.

I ordered this quilt new in August and have only slept two nights in it. I love it, as I did the Alsek I had before it, but I just received a custom made quilt that provides more coverage (Iβm a very active sleeper and need the extra draft protection). This is a $440 quilt (gulp... just looked at the receipt) in perfect/like-new condition. Katabatic rates it as a 30Β° but its loft height puts it at around 25Β° by most companiesβ standards. I took it to 28Β° in my usual pajamas and was warm. Comes with everything it did when I received it from Katabatic.

I feel like this is a really good look for them. Maybe even overkill, but it clearly shows they're paying attention to feedback and making meaningful adjustments.

Hi, everyone. This is a short (fits 5β2β-5β7β by HGβs site) 40* underquilt with 1oz overstuff.
It is $114 new. I bought it from Devin who owns the Backcountry Exposure YT channel, for my wife, but she prefers a full length.
Itβs been on 1 trip, and otherwise stored in its cotton bag uncompressed.
Weight is 18.6oz according to HGs site for these specs.
It is in like new condition, aside from one of the mini Biners. I popped the clip testing it when the quilt arrived..i included a photo showing how it closes now. It still closes and holds onto the hammock suspension, no issue.
Iβll include the stuff sack and cotton storage bag.
Price includes shipping. PayPal, please.

** Sold Sold Sold*** For sale is a 6β6β³, regular width Katabatic Gear Alsek 22-degree quilt with 900fp hyperdry down and 2oz of overstuff. This bag has been slept in 4 nights total and has been stored in the storage bag otherwise. The quilt is in like-new condition and includes the stuff sack, storage bag, and all of the pad attachment cords. I recently picked up a 6β6β³ Katabatic Flex 22 that is a better fit for my uses, so I donβt need them both. I am asking $375 plus the 2.9% Paypal goods and services fee. I will cover shipping and insurance. https://imgur.com/beLkYnO https://imgur.com/6V7Uzkp https://imgur.com/9Hn0sF5
HG Burrow 20: Standard-Wide with 74" length and 55" width, 850 fill down with 2oz overstuff and sewn footbox, comes with pad attachment straps. Tag reads as a "10 degree custom", they didn't offer a genuine ten degree at the time I purchased it. It's about three years old, very well cared for and in excellent condition, it's always been stored uncompressed. $200.00 via Paypal and add 3% if using Paypal business, free shipping CONUS. I'm selling this quilt and the E.E. listed below since I just purchased a Katabatic Flex 22. [Image of HG Quilt] (https://imgur.com/a/PEDMU)
SOLD Enlightened Equipment RevolutionX 30 degree: Used and a little older, but in great shape. I'm not sure the date it was originally purchased, I'm the second owner of it but it's served me well on summer trips. Regular length and width, 800 fill down. In my opinion E.E. was a little generous with their 30 degree rating, 40 degree might be more accurate. Then again, maybe I just run a little cool. Zippered footbox, comes with pad attachment straps. $160 via Paypal and add 3% if using Paypal business, free shipping CONUS. [Image of E.E. Quilt] (https://imgur.com/a/V4d3a)
Mountain Hardwear Ghost Whisperer Jacket (men's medium): Used, I purchased it new about two years ago. I've read and read and I still can't get a consistent answer.
If you have two items (either jacket, bag, etc) with the same amount of loft (assuming the actual baffle height is maximised in terms of fabric allowance) does adding more down increase warmth? Or does it reduce the amount of air in the baffle and decrease warmth?
Is there a diminishing return between overstuffed baffles in regards to long term loft retention (say from loss of loft from dirt, compression, etc) or is it literally best to use the minimum amount of down (assuming identical fill power) to achieve desired loft?
UGQ Bandit 20* 800fp
Quilt is like new, flawless, very warm - only slept in 2 nights and always stored in the storage sack when not in use. Smoke-free home. This is a great piece of gear but I decided quilts aren't for me.
Weight: 28.85oz (with stuff sack), 27.62oz (w/o stuff sack)

So I made my own UQ, and was able to get some down out of a couple of nice throw pillows my mother had that she wasn't using any more. When I stuffed my baffles I used a 1 inch wide wooden dowel to pack it into the baffles. I tried to keep it somewhat loose, but in the end I think I may have over stuffed it. When I go to roll it up I cannot get it any smaller than a childs cheapo sleeping bag, about 16 inches long by 12 inches in diameter. Each baffle is pretty well packed with down. Did I over stuff it?
So I just spent the last 5 hours looting pribyashitz and putting all the loot on old g-boy, then fast traveling to my chest and offloading over a hundred objects off the corpse and into my chest. Saving failed, black screen infinite load just from trying to sleep. My last save was from before then so I go back, but this time I save before I fast travel. It works!
So since I got that outta the way, i started testing the box, and I don't have an exact number but the box breaks save games for sure, probably has to do with all the boxes having so many items as they're all linked in some way.
