Leftover from the April fools mod rule change. Thought I would see what I can get with this word. π
I think most writers have a majorly missed opportunity to use the Gregory's Unctuous Unction potion instead of the loyalty potions in any fics that might make use of these types of plot-points.
The Gregory's Unctuous Unction makes the victim believe they are the best friend of who gave them the potion.
While its canon-status is questionable, introduced in a wizard-card in the Harry Potter games for Ps2, I still think it sounds better in writing to have an actual name for the potion and it also introduces some more lore to the fanfic.
For anyone who didn't know this thing existed, now you know.

When I read the above I realise that this is the closest to acceptance that the Church can come. After finding that it can no longer persecute gays and lesbians in most democratic countries, it limits itself to calling them 'disordered'. But when they had power and where they still have it they still persecute LGBTQ people.
Mortar & Pestle Basil Pesto recipe
- 1/4 cup sunflower seeds, toasted
- 2 medium cloves garlic, peeled
- 2 cups tightly packed basil leaves, sliced two or three times
- 2/3 cup finely grated Parmigiano-Reggiano
- Sea salt
- 1/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil, plus more as needed
- Use a mortar and pestle to pound and grind the seeds to a fine paste (no distinct pieces should be visible).
- Add the garlic and pound until smooth and integrated.
- If the basil leaves are very large, run a knife through them once or twice to cut them down in size.Β Add basil to sunflower seeds along with a pinch of salt, which will help break down the leaves. Continue pounding and grinding until the basil breaks down completely (if your mortar is small, pound the basil in batches), about 7-10 minutes. Once the nuts and basil combine into a thick green paste, stir in grated cheese and olive oil. Taste and adjust salt as needed.
