Hello, everyone! I have no clue whether this was asked before but I would like to know the standpoint of ordinary citizens. In the light of the latest comments of your president (regarding Bosnia and muslims), I would want to know does he really represent the standpoint of people as well? Is an average Hungarian Islamophobic? How supportive are you of his policies? I am asking because I do not want to generalize and equalize the president and the people since I am aware that the two are often very different. Thank you in advance, any information is welcome.

One of the last poison Helmut Kohl gave to the EU was introducing Orban to both the CDU/CSU and the German car manufacturer big wigs. Merkel and the dunce hated each other but as long as Hungary's GDP growth was positive an Audi got what it wanted all is good.
This era is over. The CDU is in opposition and I don't think they want to burn political capital on supporting a dictator wannabe. I also doubt that the pro- worker's union SPD will care much about bootlicking CEOs. The only support I heard is a rumour that some background FDP members like some background Fidesz characters. This is basically nothing.
And what about the other support groups? The V4 is a joke, it always was. Poland's PIS has its brave revolutionary politics you could call " losing EU bargain position speedrun" there was the bright idea to unify the ECR and ID and become the 3rd biggest EU faction, but it fall apart because everybody wanted to become the Führer, not the other guys. That is how we came to Slovenia and Jansa. Helping the Slovenian government to make propaganda in the hope that Jansa will be re-elected is a risky move. As babits showed campaigning with Orban can loose you vote this is doubly true if you are a neighbour country. Fidesz like to instill nationalism in the Hungarian diaspora and criticise the governments whenever they can. They also use every method they can think of, to buy up land for the Hungarian agricultural sector, which is largely owned by cronies. Slovakia's court already booted them.
That is how we reach Italy. The last hope of Orban is that the next election in Italy either the Liga or Brothers of Italy gets a majority and they don't kick themselves out this time. Otherwise he is truly alone with no long term allies
