A list of puns related to "Nexon"
Yes, the answer is clear - investing the ideas/efforts on a totally new class would seem more profitable than revamping / fixing classes with jarring issues
Despite two memos in a row about willing to be more transparent with the community, that's ironically the only time we've heard from Nexon in the past few months. Can we get some sort of response about starforce, cernium familiars, totems, kanna, etc? Hello Nexon? Thank you!
I play on a 1440p screen and I dont play in fullscreen mode because it's annoying whenever going to cash store and auction house and the resolutions have to switch back and forth.
Does anyone have any insight to Nexon's plans?
Its been going on for 6 months, we have only had 7 top tier channels that run so smooth that the game feels incredible. Outside of this there are another 3 that are pretty good but you may feel a small hiccup here and there.
The other 20 though, you might as well just log off. You will legit have your map freeze for 10 seconds, more often than not you have to rerun your pets on the same path, and your even more likely to disconnect losing all your buffs and even the map itself (if people actually care enough to take it).
The other 20 channels are only good for training legion without a totem and to afk. The other funny thing, is that these channels canβt even run One Card properly, you have to constantly click your card 3-8 times for it to register and get played. Playing on anything other than the best 10 channels and youβre taking on a fairly good amount of risk.
We have 2 CMs now, GMS said they were gonna be more transparent, and we just had an outrage in Korea, and still we have heard nothing about this over the past 6 months. As if they donβt even know it exists.
Wtf is going on, is there an ETA on when i should play the game again? Because realistically the 10 good channels are held by rotations more often than not and just will never be available.
Well, not exactly as the title says, but I am having issues logging in through the Nexon Launcher, I type in my email and password and hit log in...and nothing happens.
Before I logged out of the launcher, it loaded up fine and when I tried to launch Maplestory it just said something like "this game cannot played."
Has anyone else had a similar issue?
Players have been wrongfully banned or randomly temp/perma banned just for saying one inappropriate thing yet it takes them several screenshots, videos, and even a server protest to try to take action yet nothing is done. This is a sad state for GMS where chat banning should not be the only thing Nexon should be going after.
Currently in my server (Elysium) a player has gotten away with scamming several players in the server with items worth a lot of mesos. There has been various proof of screenshots, videos, and even the scammer himself stated via smega's that he scams players. Yet I don't see Nexon taking a stance on such things but they seem to be able to chatban pretty easily?
Whats your take on this or any experiences anyone has had with getting scammed or a friend?
Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone has been running into issues of logging in? I had just logged in right after server reset and had just finished capping on my main. I switched over to my burning character to get ready for the grind. As I was going for the 2x EXP coupon. I kept getting a message that an error had occurred and it would kick me out of CS and i tried AH as well with the same results. Logically, i restarted my client (via Steam). I tried restarting and it asked my to verify my email for my Nexon account, ( i hadn't done this before but w/e i went ahead.) But then i realized it would not allow me to Save and Continue. So I tried going onto the actual Nexon website, lo and behold, I cant log in there either. I cleared my cache and cookies and restarted my computer to no avail. I havent received any emails and I cant login to submit a support ticket either. I'm not quite sure what to do at this point.
I have been driving my volkswagen polo (1.2 litre petrol trendline) for good 11 years and was in the look out for new car. After going through a lot of threads on this forum, I have booked Nexon XZA+. Considering following requirements, have i made a correct decision?
Budget - 14 to 15 lakhs, Average Monthly Run - 600 km, Car Type: CSUV
Priorities:
Safety. My highway trips are always with family including small kids. Don't want to sacrifice on build quality of car.
Automatic is must. Need driving comfort as have a good run in city traffic with occasional highway trips with family.
Back seat comfort. Although I will be always on driving seat but for occasional highway trips, need a car with better leg room and seat comfort on second row.
Boot space. Decent boot space for a family of 4. Nothing less than 300L.
Fun to drive. I am not an enthusiast but driving a polo for 11 years has spoiled me a little. I know that nexon is not really polo when it comes down to driving dynamics but in sports mode its not bad. There was a time when fun to drive was my number 1 priority but with time it has moved down to number 5. Now I am looking for a more practical car.
Feature Rich. In my opinion, budget of 14 to 15 lakhs is a very decent budget hence don't want to buy an outdated model or something which is due for an upgrade.
Considering above points, I first started looking at venue and sonet. Liked both the cars (especially sonet with it'samazing feature list and big boot) but the rear seat comfort and space is bad in both of them. Same goes with Ecosports, also it feels now like a generation old car.
XUV 300, I just loved the car and would have owned it if only mahindra would have done a better job with boot space. It's a wonderful car and meets all the criterias except boot space.
Haven't tried Magnite and Kiger but they are new to market and I am not getting good confidence in going with them. Both seems to be value for money cars.
Vitara Brezza, liked it specially because it comes with a torque converter but again, a generation old car.
Left with Nexon. Which one you think should be the best buy considering all requirements? Thanks.
In addition to deleting safety gems, Nexon also deleted a stack of wheels & 4 stacks of buff freezers from my inv: https://i.imgur.com/2ZHiGAR.png

Today I logged in after the I woke up to find my character without NX, I've been MVP gold+ for the past 6 months so I was a bit confused at first, but after I opened my inventory I realized that 90% of the NX from my inventory had disappeared (Even the ChuChu set, except the hat). I don't know what caused this, but this is the biggest shot in the face I've ever seen.
NEXON I DON'T KNOW EXACTLY WHAT ITEMS I HAD IN MY INVENTORY BEFORE BUT I KEPT THE ITEMS I LIKED THE MOST IN MY INVENTORY AND 99% OF THOSE ARE GONE NOW. YOU BETTER HAVE A BACK-UP OF THESE ITEMS.
Btw, we are talking about AT LEAST 1000$ worth of items.
EDIT:

EDIT 2: All my other characters have the same problem, Dec. inventory mostly emptied. total loss goes up by about another 400$
EDIT 3: I know about the typo in the title
EDIT 4: Day 2, more stuff disappeared ......
EDIT 5: Got a response from nexon on my ticket

good enough I guess.....
Japanese game developer, public company Nexon bought 1,717 bitcoins for about $100 million at an average exchange rate of about $58,200. President and CEO Owen Mahoney explained that the investment represented less than 2% of Nexon's total funds.
>"In the current economic climate, bitcoin offers long-term stability and liquidity while preserving the value of our funds for future investments," Mahoney said. Bitcoin is likely to retain its value, he said, even if it is not yet widespread.
Nexon was founded in 1994. It develops online games. Nexon went public on the Tokyo Stock Exchange in December 2011. The company currently operates more than 50 online games in more than 190 countries.
Earlier, the Hong Kong technology company Meitu, which produces smartphones and develops software, brought its investments in cryptocurrency to $100 million.
At the same time, Elon Musk's Tesla announced that it sold $272 million worth of bitcoins at the end of March, with a profit of $101 million. The automaker's CFO, Zach Kirkhorn, stressed that the company believes in the long-term value of bitcoin and intends to maintain current assets in cryptocurrency and continue to accumulate coins received as payment for cars.
The largest bitcoin holder among public companies is MicroStrategy. According to Bitcoin Treasuries, it owns 91,500 BTC worth about $5 billion.
EDIT: A Discord to organize the event has been set up and is currently being organized to be safe both in modding and conduct. We are making sure nothing malicious or illegal will take place, both in the community and Maplestory. Stay tuned.
EDIT: The post was temporarily taken down, as one of the suggestion was malicious and against the rules. I wasn't aware of that and I don't want anything illegal to happen, so of course I removed the entire section. I apologize for my ignorance.
EDIT 2: Plans are being discussed and set up, mostly thanks to all your precious suggestions. More updates coming very soon.
This post serves as a hub for any players who are willing to organize (and participate in) a Nexon boycott, which is still to be defined and planned.
This is for players who are not at all content with Nexon's conduct over the past years, and demand the transparency and improvements that were promised to us for mutual benefit.
The purpose of this post is to:
If you have nothing to do but be disrespectful, discourage this effort or say it will be useless, leave now.
If you have suggestions, requests and ideas of any kind, or if you'd like to volunteer, please comment below as I will keep updating this post.
In the wake of the unforgivable KMS scandal, which proved Nexon had been deceiving its playerbase for decades, I and many other players have been increasingly fed up with how Nexon treats its own paying customers.
The last few months in particular have been an absolute disaster. Here are the highlights.
Getting sick of these morons on sf maps with the damn option "OFF"
Nexon should have automatically had that option set to "ON"
Am from MSEA, as we got Kain (Kaine in MSEA, honestly don't know why the 'e' LOL) 2 days ago, I've been playing it for a bit after work, just hit 3rd job.
This is the first time since Shade/Eunwol where I did not hold down the "talk to NPC" button while playing through a class's storyline.
The BGM for Seatropolis (Kaine's starting area) is amazing, really sets the tone for the story. And I personally didn't find it as cringe as some other storylines (though it definitely might come across as super "edgy" by some, wouldn't blame you).
Just wanted to say well done to the developers at Nexon Korea! Cannot wait for more people to experience the class and storyline!
It's so dumb how you're basically guaranteed to win if you're lucky enough to get 2+ coconuts in 1 game...or vice versa. Why can't they just make it so everyone gets it at least once? Even designating it as the last person to go each round is more fair than the RNG...please fix this...
This is ridiculous.
Nexon doesn't even post onto the launcher that a map is removing people's ability to play the game. They have created a functioning addiction amongst people though dailies, and how much you miss out if you do not play every single day. However, if on their end they cannot deliver the promised product what do you get? Nothing. I sent a ticket in about 36 hours ago, any response? Of course not. are we going to get a compensation? For sure, a lackluster one that fails to fulfill any of the lost time. For example, I got my accessory crafting to make some meister rings before 5/10/15, though due to another fantastically implemented time restraint I could not craft them all in one go, and now I have no ability to get back into game while the other wonderful decay mechanic will take effect and leave me unable to craft it again. My hindrance is minor, I acknowledge that, however consistency is what speaks to people. Not singular actions.
I've been playing for a while now, long enough to have seen many mistakes by Nexon. DMT happening twice both times with no fix to the issue, followed by a compensation that approximately gave 0 people the full benefit of what they would have planned to achieve during DMT such as multiple legendary potentials.
How about the Thunder Breaker issue? Nexon's response "It is intended that this class be played significantly worse than others because another server, that cannot be influenced in game by this one, has a similar function, that doesn't break the character.
I'm ranting, I get that. What I should be saying is thank you. Thank you Nexon for breaking this addiction for me, by booting me from the game. Thank you for being so consistently bad that eventually it would be my individual turn to have the nostalgic childhood memory of maplestory ruined for me.
I think my favorite part of this past covid Maplestory year, was the self awareness that you're terrible through the Anna post on being more transparent, followed by absolutely no transparency.
I bid you adieu, Nexon. I would say maybe you will learn from your mistakes, but that would just be unfounded optimism and as the old adage goes "βThere's an old saying in Tennessee β I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee β that says, fool me once, shame on β shame on you. Fool me β you can't get fooled again.β
Be Better Nexon, or slowly lose all of your customer base, I think sometimes you forget that, that is all you are a service, if you fai
... keep reading on reddit β‘The news was pretty terrible, I was hyped as fuck for this game. I didn't get too far into the JP launch because I knew it would release in Global and I wasn't gonna have the time to play the same game twice.
I'm now seriously considering starting a JP account, missing months of content and goodies over playing a Nexon game. I get it Nexon is the parent company, but them having such a great game that's getting a ton of success exactly because they aren't involved sould be more than enough indication for them to not put their hooves on it outside of maybe Korea (even then I don't know how much the Koreans like Nexon's business practices).
So yeah, can someone who knows how to write a formal document get on the case? I'd love it if Yostar would be back as the publisher, heck anything's better than Nexon.
Hello Maplers,
I am the author of the Nexon Boycott Megathread, which I am sure you have already seen if you are active here. For those who have not, all you need to do is to go back and read the post. Being up to date with what is going on is essential to understanding the context of this post as well.
To recap, after Wondroid happened I wished to channel the community's rage and discomfort with the recent happenings in Maple into something constructive. I am literally a nobody - I am not an OG player or a streamer, or even an expert in the gaming industry. I just wanted to help make something happen. And something did.
Several hours ago, CM Ghiblee commented on the post and linked me today's Maple Memo as a direct response to the general demands I had included in the thread. I have to say, I was completely taken by surprise. I never expected any reaction of this sort, let alone so fast.
There is a whole lot to unpack both in this memo and in the reality of its existence. However, before I get into the details and explain what is going on with our community efforts, there are three things I would like to outline above all others.
APRIL FOOLS LMAO Y'ALL REALLY THOUGHT I WAS BOUTTA POST SOME GARBAGE LIKE THAT?
F*** Nexon. All my homies hate Nexon.
I found the guide here

why it says you can not use occult to increase a epic to unique potential? I think I had done it before but not sure?
Nexon has announced that with the next patch, June 9th, they will delete any character below level 61 on accounts that haven't logged in since December 2016.
I think this is a bad idea.
I've seen some people rejoicing that "good IGNs" will be freed. But that can be accomplished by just changing them, the way Nexon did back in the 2015 IGN wipe.
This game's main source of "new" players are returning players. We see them here on reddit all the time. "I haven't played since ..." and "look what I found on the old account I just recovered". But now, any old storage mules or event mules they may have had will be deleted, along with any "treasures" (real or not) that they had. Even main characters will be deleted, if they didn't make it to 61, which took weeks back in the day. Why is it necessary to alienate these people, angering them into leaving as soon as they return because their nostalgic emotional connection to the game was deleted?
I don't think the answer is that all these old low-level characters take too much storage space. Storage is cheap. And besides, if Nexon wanted space, they should start by deleting perma-banned obvious bot accounts (you know: one character, the favored bot class for the time of the ban, gibberish name, meso-farmer behavior pattern), regardless of level or when they were last played. Just in the past two years, Nexon perma-banned millions of accounts. Why not delete those for the storage space, before real (if lapsed) players' ore mules?
What do you think, reddit?
