Did anyone's mucous membranes dry up overnight from being floxed?

I mean dryness everywhere... Dry eyes, nasal passages, mouth, skin, etc.?

Did you also lose the ability to sweat?

Is the wrinkle mucous membrane called ridged band?

I was circumcised by phimosis when I was 17, and after circumcision there was still a lot of mucous membrane covering the corona and sulcus (CI 4)My circumcision style is very similar to the sixth on the website:https://www.reddit.com/r/foreskin_restoration/comments/pirkh0/circumcisions_type/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share

Recently I discovered that my frenulum and frenulum delta are intact.

The wrinkled mucous membranes from the frenulum delta disappeared along my left and right scar lines. And the wrinkled mucous membranes provide deep eroticism, when I look at a pretty girl my wrinkled mucous membranes shrink, when I look at the night sky or listen to music my dorsal scar feel like the mucosal junction, (although the foreskin rim and mucosal junction are missing)

Scar line and frenulum delta allow me to ejaculate in two minutes. Similar to the mucosal junction that has been lost.

Is the wrinkled mucous membranes from the frenulum delta that's part of the ridged band?

Ear drops really hurt because of my tympanostomy tubes. My doctor gave me eye drops to try instead (easier on the mucous membrane), but I'm afraid these will still hurt. Will it? (26M)

Complaint/question: I got perscribed the drops because my left ear has too much gunk to get a hearing test done (which I have to get before I get the tubes removed for some reason).

But in the past, when I use eardrops, they hurt. Quite a bit. And I've also had a doctor try to flush my ear out without knowing I have tubes (this was hell), so any risk of ear pain makes me really uncomfortable/nervous.

So he prescribed eye drops instead (for my ear), which should do the same thing, except less pain theoretically, but I'm just too scared to risk it.

No other current medical issues.

Mucous membrane coming back?

Is it possible for your mucous membrane to come back before dekeratinization? Before I'd produce mucous every so often if the conditions were right while tugging with my tlc, but now it's almost guaranteed while I tug or use a retainer. And it started with weird dull pains in my glans? It's not pee/seminal fluid, tmi but the smell definitely gives it away. I'm only a year in at CI-3, but is this a good sign of dekeratinizing?

Do you go to war with your mucous membranes when you eat cubes?

I’ve always had a problem with turning into a snotty tearing mess when I eat cubensis! Although I’ve learned to embrace it, I’ve noticed that other people don’t seem to have the same reaction. In my case, the amount of mucous produced is directly proportionate to the amount consumed! I guess I’m just wondering if this is a common occurrence or if I’m just a mutant?

Is it normal to still have a hole with a functioning mucous membrane after a vaginectomy?

So I'm extremely confused and it doesn't help that there's only vague information out there. But I had vaginectomy about 4 weeks ago, and now that I have healed mostly, I decided to actually feel what is down there, and I still have a hole, about 3 cm deep, and it still gets wet.

I thought the mucous membrane gets removed? And the entrance gets sewed shut. I was told that as well, so I am so fucking confused about what is going on down there.

Yes I will call in next week, Tuesday is my only free day unfortunately, I'd just like to see for now if anyone has any information or experiences related to this so maybe I can understand a bit more.

COVID-19 enters the body via our mucous membranes, but supposedly it is far less likely to spread via contaminated food. It seems as though the mouth is a rather large, warm and continuously moist mucous membrane perfect for trapping viruses?

Can someone that sciences shed some light and bridge my gap in understanding? Do we just have powerful bacteria/enzymes in out mouth/throat that kill the virus before it can enter the bloodstream? If so, can I suck on my finger and pick my nose to achieve immunity??? I set a goal this morning of saving the world so any help would be appreciated, obviously.

lip fillers and mucous membrane

Don’t they dry out? Anyone whose had a stuffed nose knows the hassle of trying to sleep breathing through your mouth. Overfilled lips with turned-out waterlines are hallmark of botched lips on this sub, either of the sex doll or sausage variety, and can’t be healthy. People with thinner lips have even less tissue to work with. The combination of dried out and stretched-thin tissue sounds like a recipe for sores, and even infection. My nostrils cleared up a few days ago and it still feels like the inside of my bottom lip is repairing itself.

I read about this study however I can't access it for free. Its results are mentioned here, in another study testing sea buckthorn for another condition.

https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0378512214002394#bib0055

Is anyone taking it? I've seen some reviews on different SB products on amazon from women with Sjogren's and they seem promising. From what I gather there's SB seed and fruit, and for dry mucous membranes you want either a combo or the fruit one, as the seed oil is primarily for something else.

Can lidocaine for subcutaneous infiltration/nerve blocks be used on mucous membranes?

Hey pharmacy friends! Emergency medicine doc here - had a question about lidocaine. Where I trained, we used a 4% lidocaine hcl "topical solution" which we used with a mucosal atomizer to spray the oropharynx and airway structures for awake topicalized intubations. It's a fantastic technique that I'd like to continue using in patients with anatomically or physiologically difficult airways but unfortunately my new shop only has the usual 1% and 2% lidocaine hcl for subcutaneous infiltration and nerve blocks. Of course it won't work as well as the 4% because it's more dilute but is there some other reason I can't use it in the same way, spraying the mucosal surfaces of the airway structures to blunt gag reflex and improve patient comfort during awake intubations? Any additives it's formulated with that would make it unsafe to use in this manner?
