A list of puns related to "Miller Index"
Chandler Jonesβ 5 sack performance against the Titans this week gave him 102 for his career, moving him from 62nd all-time to 51st. He increased his sacks per game from 0.78 to 0.82, which is now the 5th best per game rate in history (40+ sack min.) Jones now has the 4th best Sack Index behind only Deacon Jones, Myles Garret, and Reggie White (Sack Index adjusts for era - explained here)
Here are the players with a sack index of .300 or above
https://preview.redd.it/6u6ieh5k3pn71.png?width=1188&format=png&auto=webp&s=e16f176643e33bc7e7c7d7f7db516dce59c08e0e
Other big movers in the top 50 Sack Index list are Von Miller moving from 10th to 8th after his two sacks against my New York Giants. J.J.Watt dropping three spots from 6th to 9th. T.J. Watt moved ahead of his brother; they were ranked J.J. 6th, T.J. 7th at the beginning of the season. (T.J. is now 6th). Sadly, Khalil Mack has dropped out of the top 50 this week, he was sitting at 49th before the week. But not sad for DE Richard Dent, another Chicago Bear who is now in the top 50 as a result of Mack dropping. Richard, if you're reading this, congratulations on making the top 50 of an efficiency stat that I made up and that no one knows about.
Here is the rest of the top 50 after the completion of week one
https://preview.redd.it/yjmhx8i04pn71.png?width=1259&format=png&auto=webp&s=16ad0ba5994cdbe37b4548dbc7f9b8393f3e01fd
Note: Although this metric is adjusted for era, youβll notice quite a few current players in the top 10. This has a lot to do with the Sack Index being an efficiency metric and most of these players not hitting the declining back-end of their careers yet, whereas retired players have been through those declining years. Many of these players will likely drop down the list as they age and their production declines.
Another Note: This is based on the unofficial sack data that now goes back to 1960. The NFL still only recognizes sack data from 1982+.

I just started a semiconductor physics course and miller indices are a little confusing; or maybe it's just this one. The x,y,z intersections are given as 0,infinity,infinity. How can a plane only intersect the x axis at 0 and none of the other ones? The homework problem also wants me to draw the plane... am I missing something or is this unsolvable?
Thanks!
Got an Aeron from Crandall, they only had the standard height adjustable arms in stock.
Firstly, is it possible to add pivoting to the height adjustable arms? I've seen a number of indexing kits and I didn't want to buy one without verifying that it would actually work.
If it isn't, does anyone know where I could source pivoting arms? There's a seller on ebay with both right and left pivoting arms, but I just want to see what else is out there.
Thanks for your time!
Edit:
For those who care, I reached out to "Office Replacement Parts" about this and they said:
> Thank you for your inquiry. We checked with people who refurb Aeron chairs and they said that adding the index kit will work. We have never done this before so we are relying on their opinion. You will receive instructions from Herman Miller in the order.
I emailed Herman Miller about this and I'll update once I get a response.
Edit2: Heard back from HM:
> Unfortunately, no any modifications made to a chair will void warranty. We would suggest searching and seeking out service at one of our service dealers to see if they can add the type of arms you are looking for.
So that's something to keep in mind, but it didn't really answer my question. Kind of annoying.
I reached out to a dealer near me and they said:
> I believe that you just need the kit to add this feature to your chair.
But I think it might be dependent on whether the arms have the wheel or the lever for vertical movement.
Edit3:
Apparently it's possible! The dealer I reached out to said they can ship out the hardware directly to me, with a significant lead time but hey at least I won't be paying for brand new arms.

>Halo Infinite multiplayer is truly a love letter to old school shooters and a proper return to the qualities that originally made the series famous. Whether you are looking for smaller, more organised, matches or all-out warfare with vehicles, you have a lot to enjoy in this game.

>The Master Chief's latest adventure feels very solid and has quickly become one of my favorite titles of the year. It is difficult to find FPS with better sensations at the controls than those that Halo Infinite has transmitted to me. From its gunplay, through its artificial intelligence, its performance and of course its spectacular sound section. Without a doubt, an adventure designed for the enjoyment of the player.

Kickoff with the new NXT Champion Bron Breakker making his way to the ring. Bron starts by thanking Tomaso Ciampa and says he is an unbelievable athlete, but more importantly an incredible human being. He says after the match Ciampa grabbed him and told him he earned it, and then went to pay respects to his father. Bron says there's no bye-week in NXT, and puts the locker room on notice saying when they're training, he's already trained, he's already watched the film, and he'll be ready for any of them, every single week.
Tony D'Angleo says there are 16 different ways to use a crowbar but tonight he'll only need to use 3 on Petey Poppins. He says all he wanted was a trophy from Wargames but Pete couldn't learn. Just like his dog tonight Dunne will learn that Tony is in charge.
Mandy Rose is in the middle of a pool-side photo shoot to celebrate her title defense. She says at New Years Evil she arrived in style and left with her title and that NXT 2.0 is all about Mandy and tells us to keep watching and keep staring.
Joe Gacey says he and Harland want to thank the tournament committee to allow them compete in tonight's Dusty Classic play-in match. He says they will use this platform to show why anyone regardless of size or experience should be able to have an equel chance of winning the Dusty Cup. He hopes Edris and Malik understand they will be entering a safe space in the ring with them, and that even if they are rivals in competition they don't have to be rivals in life.

Peter Lynch: Just Hire The Guy Who Beats the Market - Duh!!?!
This still gets me after all these years.
I worked for a major investment bank as a Bond salesman and as an Analyst with an investment manager before that. Iβve covered Hedge Funds, Prop Shops, Family Offices, Pensions, Endowments, Sovereign Wealth funds, Insurance companies - you name it. Believe me when I tell you - hardly anybody beats the market.
Oh sure, over a year or two, here or there, they might. And theyβll tell you all about it. But year over year? Rolling 3 and 5 years? 15-20 years? No chance. Maybe 2-3 funds actually do have consistent long term alpha, net of fees, but if youβre reading this, they arenβt interested in taking your money.
Peter tells us:
"Our fund managers, our active guys, have beaten the hell out of the market for 10, 20, 30 years,"
He cites one guy.
There are over 10,000 registered mutual funds and ETFs.
This is exactly like telling your old, homely, fat, short, balding, bespectacled, divorced buddy to just date a supermodel.
Or saying βall you have to do to be a Billionaire is work for the right start-up.β
Sure, the next Unicorn is being founded right now. But do you know the founder? Where they are? Did you apply? Were you hired? Did they get funded? Did you get options? Did the product survive client churn? Patent issues? Lawsuits? Insurance claims? The CEO have #MeToo issues at the Christmas party?
A positive answer to any of these questions is a thread youβre throwing through the eye of a needle from 15 yards away.
S&P/Dow Jones does a study every year about the βPersistence of Performanceβ of active managers. For all US Large Cap Core mutual funds with a 20 year track record that bench to the S&P 500: 95.31% underperformed the index.
This study also accounts for survivorship. Going back those same 20 years, 73.5% of All US Large Cap funds do NOT survive.
So, your chances of finding an active manager who not only doesnβt get the boot or go out of business AND he/she consistently outperforms the benchmark for the (more than) 20 years you need to save for retirement? Slim to none.
Oh yeah, and you have to pay the management fee, 12b-1s, trading commissions/spreads, and their capital gains tax bill each year.
So yes, Peter Lynch/William Danoff/Bill Miller was that one guy who did that one thing

#Meadowsβ text messages
The Select Committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol voted unanimously to hold former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows in contempt last week for refusing to comply with a congressional subpoena. During the meeting, Vice Chair Liz Cheney (R-WY) read aloud text messages sent to Meadows during the insurrection from various Fox News personalities, lawmakers, Capitol staffers, and Donald Trump Jr.
Text messages from those inside the Capitol, including Republican members:
>-"Hey, Mark, protestors are literally storming the Capitol. Breaking windows on doors. Rushing in. Is Trump going to say something?"
>-"We are under siege up here at the Capitol."
>-"They have breached the Capitol."
>-"There's an armed standoff at the House Chamber door."
>-"We are all helpless."
Messages from Trump administration officials:
>-"POTUS has to come out firmly and tell protestors to dissipate. Someone is going to get killed"
>-"Mark, he needs to stop this. Now"
>-"TELL THEM TO GO HOME"
>-"POTUS needs to calm this shit down."
Messages from Fox News hosts:
>Laura Ingraham: "Hey Mark, the president needs to tell people in the Capitol to go home...this is hurting all of us...he is destroying his legacy."
>Brian Kilmeade: "Please get him on tv. Destroying everything you have accomplished."
>Sean Hannity: "Can he make a statement?...Ask people to leave the Capitol."
These same personalities then went on national television to deflect blame from Trump despite privately acknowledging that the insurrectionists were Trumpβs people. For instance, while lawmakers were gathering to restart the electoral vote count, Ingraham suggest Antifa and provocateurs were responsible for the Jan. 6 attack.
**Donald Trump Jr. also texted Mead

#Contempt resolution
Read the contempt resolution against Mark Meadows here.
Highlights:
>Meadows was with or in the vicinity of then-President Trump on January 6 as he learned about the attack on the U.S. Capitol and decided whether to issue a statement that could stop the rioters. In fact, as the violence at the Capitol unfolded, Mr. Meadows received many messages encouraging him to have Mr. Trump issue a statement that could end the violence, and one former White House employee reportedly contacted Mr. Meadows several times and told him, ββ[y]ou guys have to say something. Even if the presidentβs not willing to put out a statement, you should go to the [cameras] and say, βWe condemn this. Please stand down.β If you donβt, people are going to die.ββ
>>We wouldβve asked Mr. Meadows about text messages exchanged with various individuals, including Members of Congress, on January 6th, both before, during, and after the attack on the United States Capitol, including text messages encouraging Mr. Meadows to facilitate a statement by President Trump discouraging violence at the Capitol on January 6th, including a text exchange with a media personality who had encouraged the presidential statement asking people to, quote, ββpeacefully leave the Capitol,ββ end quote, as well as a text sent to one ofβby one of the Presidentβs family members indicating that Mr. Meadows is, quote, ββpushing hard,ββ end quote, for a statement from President Trump to, quote, ββcondemn this shit,ββ end quote, happening at the Capitol.
>Meadows reportedly spoke with Kashyap Patel, who was then the chief of staff to former Acting Secretary of Defense Christopher Miller, ββnonstopββ throughout the day of January 6.
>Meadows apparently knows if and when Trump was engaged in discussions regarding the National Guardβs response to the Capitol riot, a point

I'm surprised it hasn't decade.
As more information releases concerning Trump and friends involvement in the Capitol Coup, there seems to be two pictures being relayed to the public concerning the events of January 6th.
First - A full timeline
This is the big one that talks about all the big and little things leading up to, including, and after January 6th. This one is vitally important as it shows the biggest picture of how this happened. It shows all the inciting incidents, the various rallies were calls for violence were perpetrated, the various activities of Trump revolving around these incidents as well as everything else Trump supporters did leading up to January 6th.
Second - The events of January 6th
This is essentially showing what happened on January 6th with no context. It's often used as a way for right wing supporters to deny there was any planning to the events of January 6th and rather it was spontaneous.
I would like to submit a list of events taken from the first that more concisely and simply describes the events attributed directly to Trump or someone close to him that can be used as direct evidence of his planning of January 6th. This list takes all the events and information leading up to the events of January 6th and picks out the ones that can be directly tied to Donald Trump's hands or at least a direct lackey or White House official. Also included are incidents that can directly be associated with planning the January 6th coup as the people involved are directly implicated in the planning beyond being a presence that day (I.E. Congressmen/women, social influencers, Trump aides, etc). The last thing included in the list are incidents when Government officials outside Trump's influence are given warning or alerted to the approaching Coup and the amount of violence expected to be involved.
You may ask what's the purpose if we have the first list that's beyond thorough? Well this is meant to me a short list that is almost impossible to deny Trump's culpability as each event on the list is directly linked to Trump, insinuates a direct link, or affirms foreknowledge of the event beyond what happened that day.
There are a few events included from the Morning of the 6th but after that the list ends at the point the Coup turns violent.
List 3 - A list of Trump's involvement in the planning execution of the January 6th Insurrection

Kick off with that cunt Grayson Waller arriving to the building where a group of fans boo him and chant asshole at him. Waller takes a picture and taunts them.
After the first match Cameron Grimes rips off Duke's headgear, revealing that his hair was a wig all along and he is now fully bald.
Cora Jade is interviewed backstage. Cora says there are scores to be settled between her and Dakota, but she's happy because the doctors have cleared her to compete. Dakota interrupts and says this is what Raquel always does, she pretends to be your friend, helps you out, maybe even be your tag partner, then turns against you. Cora says she doesn't need "mom's" advise and says once she wins tonight she'll be on quite the winning streak.
Briggs and Jensen are excited to go to a country concert when they get picked up by Kayden Carter and Kacy Catenzaro in their truck. They go to the concert, do some line dancing together, and Briggs and Jensen watch KC and KC dance together a bit.
That cunt Grayson Waller comes down to the ring. He says a wise man once said you can never fail if you bet on yourself, but that wise man overstayed his welcome. For some reason he wanted to thank his wife and fans like they did anything for anyone. Waller said he did everything he said he was gonna do and shows the footage the attack last week, from the perspective of his Instagram live. Grayson says last week he cemented himself as THE NXT superstar, from jumping off the cage, winning Wargames, and ending the career of one of the greatest superstars in NXT history. This weekend he was partying with celebrities while everyone else was doing the same thing they always did. Grayson shows from comments, including one from Wade Barrett, complimenting Waller. Grayson says it isn't 2010 and he doesn't give a damn what Wade thinks, and he mocks Vic Joseph for just standing there last

So I've recently read Tibiasecrets article on the nomads. link
It's a great read, and after reading it I started a chat with the authors (Mogh and Bosst) because I wanted to share some (to me) interesting lore I've found on the way regarding rotworms.. while writing I found a crazy story. Bear with me. I'm going to show you how magic in Tibia really works and why the hell some rotworm pheromone is extremely valuable.
Okay, so a very simplified recap on the nomads and the rotworms.
The 'true sons of the desert' keeps several secrets
If you're not gonna tell me, I guess I will have to find out the long way...
We help them to retrieve their sacred casket that was stolen from them. We find a note in the thieves hideout, parts of it reads:
>They call themselves "true sons of the desert" and we managed to obtain their sacred casket by accident. What a great day for us. The right people will pay huge amounts of gold for it.
...
>
>So far I found out that the strange substance in the casket has something to do with the rotworm species. It is strongly advisable to keep the substance in the casket. I opened it once and minutes later it swarmed with rotworms and carrion worms. Many of my people died in this accident. We presume that we deal with an attractant of a rotworm queen. No one has ever seen one but we are pretty sure that this species is organised by a queen.
All over their hideout we find lots of rotworms, and this rotworm pheromone we get is very important to them - why?
Why would 'the right people' want to pay huge amounts of gold for some rotworm pheromone?
Pheromone that when released, attracts massive hordes of rotworms?
What can we do with rotworms?
Humgolf is the chief rotworm tamer of Kazordoon. Perhaps he can shed some light into our questions?

>Player: money
Humgolf: Gold is one of the things my worms can unearth.
Gold huh ;p
Is this why the true sons of the desert hold the rotworm queens pheromone so dearly?
Having a huge supply of rotworms at your command would literally be a goldmine. Or rather, how you would gather a shit tonne of gold from the earth.

Backstage AJ Styles runs into Tomasso Ciampa. AJ wishes Ciampa luck in his match tonight and Ciampa says it looks like AJ is dressed for a fight. Styles says he has to teach Grayson Waller a lesson and tells Ciampa he better defend the title.
The Dusty Cup returns in two weeks!
AJ Styles makes his way down to the ring, he says he'll never get tired of the crowd chanting for him, throughout his whole career, for all the titles he won, that is what he loves the most. Styles says for the amazing career he's had, he has some regrets, one of them was debuting at the Royal Rumble and not getting to spend time in NXT. He says there is something special about this place, the passion the fans have about the superstars, the passion the fans have for the superstars, it doesn't matter if it's 1.0 or 2.0 passion is what fuels NXT and he won't have someone like Grayson Waller take it away. AJ says there is always someone who thinks they're better than the place they're from and that they deserve respect. That cunt Grayson Waller comes out and says AJ is playing the heartstrings heavy tonight and calls it a phenomenal deflection to distract from the fact that AJ got crushed by Omos last night. Grayson doesn't buy the whole "I wish I went to NXT" spiel. Grayson says he knows why AJ lost last night, he saw what none of the fans could see, he was living in AJ's head rent free and threw him off his game. AJ admits that Grayson was right and he's not at 100%. AJ offers Waller to take advantage and challenges him to a 1 on 1 match right now. Grayson says they're on his time, not AJ's. Styles tells him to grow a pair and get in the ring. Waller enters and dances around around but says if they're doing this he wants the lights on bright, next week in the main event so he can get the biggest match of his career. AJ agrees to the match but says it'll be the biggest embarrassment of his career. Waller get a cheap shot on AJ
