A list of puns related to "Low Comedy"
The Jackie Chan stunt team helped with this and is basically Japan's John Wick. Choreography is top notch, characters are genuinely funny and just a blast all around, both movies. Some of my favorite action movies in the last decade.
Edit: watch order is in title btw

I hate to even draw a comparison between Bo and L.Ck but seriously man, wtf???
I know bo still got nominated for some other stuff at the Grammys but somehow LCk is their next option? Can barely think of any comedy album this year that would fit better than Boβsβ¦. And yeah these award shows are overrated popularity contests sure, but really??? Also heard Marilyn Manson got nominated too. Jesus. Really scraping the bottom of the barrel now, arenβt they.
Hello sci-fi fans! I'm sharing mine and my husband's sci-fi podcast, Radio Free Mars: Colony Rhea. It's a public access radio show in a very odd little Colony on Mars in the year 2221. It's mostly comedy sci-fi, though we've done as much research as we can on the actual science parts. It's very low budget (no budget?) and we're by no means professional anything, but so far people have enjoyed it and I hope you do too!
I think that for the era it came out in, it was quite underrated. Looking back at it, the meta commentary on Hollywood life is absolutely gold, down from the exaggeration of film production thru the shenanigans Bowinger productions gets into, all the way to Eddie Murphy as the neurotic, bordering crazy movie star. I watch this film every now and then and it never fails to make me laugh. Hot take, but it's probably in my top 3 comedies of all time.
I was inspired by the other post wanting a lives of Asguardians comedy/ dramedy.
My dream Disney+ show follows a group of superheros living together in an Avengers-esque facility, navigating group drama, hijinks, shenanigans, as well as a whole bunch of C and D list villians. Mostly self-contained episodes with some overarching plots, and live action preferably. Maybe based around the Young Avengers or Xmen/ Xavier School?
My favorite scene in Wandavision was at the end of episode 5 when Vision confronts Wanda about Westview and he has his "I can't remember my life before Westview, I don't know who I am" line. That might be one of my favorite scenes in phase 4 so far and it is basically just interpersonal drama.
I would also love to see some friendly brawls in this show a la Avengers 1 Ironman v Thor v Captain America.
Anyone else want something group dynamic/ character-based with no world-ending stakes?
EDIT: Another great interpersonal drama scene in phase 4 - Shang Chi telling Wenwu "we needed you and you chose those damn rings" (paraphrasing).
Hey humans, looking for the title of a scrappy, low-key indie comedy set in New York (Brooklyn specifically IIRC but not guaranteed). Mostly unknown or little-known names with two Black leads (guy and girl) in their early 20s-ish. I think the movie's about two street taggers looking to make some cash to get into a baseball game. Takes place over a day or two.
I'm an LA based Producer/Director and Iβve started a film fund that is looking to make slate of low budget comedy/genre films that deliver the laughs. We are currently looking for talented writers (regardless of experience) to collaborate with.
We are looking for high concept scripts that are executable on a low budget. Ideally centrally based around a single location.
If you have a script that you have written or a concept in mind that you feel meet the criteria of this fund, I would love to get in touch and collaborate.
LETS TALK! Message me if you are interested.
EDIT: Thank you everyone for responding and messaging me. Iβve gotten HUNDREDS of messages. Iβm excited to take a look at all your ideas, scripts, and projects. I promise I will respond to everyone, it will just take me some time.
Additionally as a reminder, we are strictly funding comedy feature films, not television pilots or shorts.
KEEP THE MESSAGES COMING!
A series of movies centered around paranormal incidents in a mobile home/trailer park. Filmed almost like a quasi parody of the found footage genre - think trailer park Paranormal Activity or like the Bad Ben movies.
The first film centers on a newly hired maintenance man who is tasked with staying in the trailer park clubhouse late at night and basically acting as an unofficial security guard. The HOA board suspects that nightly break-ins have been occuring in the clubhouse, so our protagonist is tasked with keeping an eye on the place. He begins filming his boring new job vlog style, but then weird paranormal things start happening and it becomes clear that the place is haunted by an evil force. The Maintenance Man decides to fight this spirit/demon himself. The Maintenance Man is pretty much the sole onscreen character in this one.
The second film deals with the Maintenance Man, having survived his battle with the demon in the first film, being rehired by the HOA board to flush out a creepy nocturnal squatter from the clubhouse, which turns out to be a vampire. Residents are then being found dead with huge bite marks in their necks. Our hero decides to read up on vampire folklore and after the cops won't believe him, takes it upon himself to rid the mobile home park of this bloodsucking menace. This installment incorporates things from actual vampire folklore, such as using a vampire's OCD against itself at the climax by throwing a bag full of M&Ms all over the floor to stall the vampire at the climax.
The third film has our Maintenance Man hero discover that the trailer park is built over a dimensional portal that makes it a supernatural hot zone, which is the reason so many bizarre things happen there and that supernatural beings are attracted to the place. He fights to close the portal and restore balance to the forces of good and evil.
The thing about this found footage film series is that it'd be mostly played straight - the spirits and monsters are quite creepy and scary. But the humor comes from the Maintenance Man's funny and foul mouthed reactions to these scary things and the ridiculous setting (a trailer park). It would be like a cross between Bad Ben and Trailer Park Boys, with a dash of Kolchak with our hero's attempts to convince disbelieving others of what is really going on in the mobile home park.
What do you guys think?
It's pretty funny and self aware, but kind of heartbreaking to see how everyone's just treating their beloved Gin-San like an imposter! It's actually especially harsh to see Kagura do it because of their dynamic.
And oh man, comedy aside, it was rough to see Gintoki kind of surrender and get thrashed by those weird punks in the first episode of the arc. Poor guy, went through so much and finally got a nice, wonderful family around him, feels brutal to see him feel forgotten by the people he's fought so hard for over the last 250 episodes!

I have watched a few romance animes in the past months and some of them have been atrocious in pacing. I hate romance shows that don't get to development or just drag on stuff. Something like a silent voice or your name would be appreciated.
