A list of puns related to "Louis Lesser"
Do I need to follow any etiquete rule if I'm the highest authority in the room? Do I follow those anyway because otherwise 'people will comment'?
(Yes, I've read the wiki.)
As the title states, my dad and grandpa are coming to visit me for the first time since I moved here β five years later. I wouldn't say they're necessarily afraid of the city, but they've had their reservations about my safety in the city, so I'm glad they feel comfortable enough to finally see the wonderful city for themselves.
That said, I'm looking for on advice for some places they could visit. Neither of them drinks and neither of them prefers any sort of bar setting, which removes quite a bit of options. I'm for sure taking them to the Arch, Zoo, Art Museum, Forest Park, Busch β and maybe the Botanical Gardens β but outside of those, I'm drawing a blank outside of taking them to historical neighborhoods, restaurants, etc.
What are some good, off-the-grid places to check out that a tourist would like to see? I know for a fact I'm missing some places.
We all know about Forest Park, Tower Grove, and Citygarden, Any recommendations for lesser known parks? Preferably in the city or near the city, but open to ones farther out if they are worth it!
I'm new to the area and haven't lived in Missouri as long as some and I was fascinated when I heard that the farmers market has been there since 1779. I love hearing about old cities and buildings and I love close enough to the area to walk through it and would love to check out the area imagining when I was built but I can't seem to find anything about when Soulard was founded or settled outside of who it was named for.
Looks like I've been developing this weird habit of making these huge lists of the stuff I've watched. This is the ranking of every show I watched this year. Every show in here I have completed except for the ones that are still on going. I organized them in groups of the scores I gave them on my mal and in the order from worst to best. I don't expect any one to agree with me and some of the reasons I gave for I why x show ranked the way they did is completely subjective and I'm not even sure I made any sense with the explanation I tried to give. Well without any further ado let's go.
If you don't want to get spoiled don't read my thoughts about a show you haven't finished yet.
54-The Promised Neverland 2 - I don't usually give shows scores this low. I actually tried to like it even when everyone was saying it was shit. But that ending was one of the worst things I've ever seen and really believe that this is the worst anime of the year.
53-Kemono Jihen- Didn't come with any expectations for this one but was pleasantly surprised by the first episode. It gave me the wrong expectations of what the rest of the show would be like, and I was just disappointed. The story and the characters were not interesting at all, some were even kinda annoying (mc and the blue haired trap guy).
52-Urasekai Picnic- This show actually had some scenes that made me feel very uneasy, like the train one. But I don't really have much to say except that it's bad. Didn't have high expectations for it and it didn't surprise me either, same for the next one.
51-Tatoeba Last dungeon*- It had some funny scenes and characters but in the end it's just your generic bland fantasy show with an op mc.
50-The hidden dungeon only I can enter*- A very horny show, less horny than I expected, however. The opening is surprisingly catchy but it's still a bad show with a bad harem.
49-Hige wo soru- This is another one that ended up being a disappointment for me. I really liked the first couple of episodes where it's more of a SoL show but the rest of the show didn't hit for me. I could not care the least for the main character and, as a result, I couldn't get invested in all the drama, and this show has a lot of drama. I actually dropped it once but picked it back up a few days after it finished airing and the ending wasn't any better.
48-Takt Op. Destiny- Surprised to see this show so low? Well, there will be a few other surprises as

Pieces of art deemed problematic or offensive are not being hosted on any streaming services, including rental options like Prime or YouTube, making these type of films extremely hard to see in our current media consumption landscape.
In the absence of physical media, which is becoming more and more rare, these movies are essentially being banned by the companies responsible for curating our intake of contemporary art. As physical media becomes less commonly manufactured and printings of these films grow in age and rarity they will become prohibitively expensive to purchase. If no digital streaming options exist they will become next to impossible for people to see in the future if that does not change.
How does this effect the overall culture if art is sterilized of its inherent obscene qualities? If a young person interested in art in 20, 30 years is unable to reasonably see important works of offensive, degenerate art then they could be less inclined to take those risks in their own work. Imagine if Egon Schiele had never seen Klimt, and a whole generation of expressionist portrait artists had never seen Schieleβs work. Which was nearly the case, after being arrested his work was burned and everything we see of his is after that period and presumably somewhat sterilized for fear of reprisal of the law. Would we still have grotesque art being created like Jordan Wolfson or Sally Mann.
Will the linear progression of filth and trash remain intact? Or will it become recontextualized and appropriated into a sterilized and safe form like pop-punk, which allows a socially acceptable amount of grit and self expression while remaining consumer friendly and profit focused.
Art has a long history of serious censorship and this is obviously a lesser example compared to the Nazi degenerate art exhibitions, video-nasties, the various satanic panics, but itβs the beginning of a trend Iβm concerned about growing worse as our media moves more and more out of the physical space and into the digital curated subscription model.
In 2050 will I be able to stream Cannibal Holocaust or Julian Donky-Boy in

Along with βdoes pineapple belong on pizza,β βis βDie Hardβ a Christmas movieβ is one of the most contentious debates on the internet. And while I have my opinion on the βDie Hardβ question (and the pineapple one) thatβs not the film Iβm here to tell you is secretly a Christmas classic. There are plenty of other articles that have already done that and frankly itβs a little played out to claim βDie Hardβ as your favorite Christmas movie, as good as it is. For the real deep Christmas cut tell people that your favorite is 2002βs βCatch Me if You Can.β
But before we can definitively call βCatch Me If You Canβ a great Christmas movie, letβs get into what actually makes a Christmas movie, or at the very least what people point to as making something a Christmas film. On the most basic level itβs a movie set at Christmas. This is a pretty simple and solid solution but it provides a few wrinkles and means you have to count films like; βThe Godfather,β βThe French Connection,β and everything Shane Black has every made as Christmas movies.
For me itβs always been akin to what makes a western, i.e. a specific setting, aesthetic, and to a lesser degree theme. We all know a western when we see it, even if itβs a βmodernβ or βrevisionist westernβ like βHell or High Waterβ or βMcCabe & Mrs. Miller.β Sure some critics will claim that somehow βButch Cassidy and the Sundance Kidβ isnβt a western but βStar Warsβ is, but frankly those people can shut the fuck up. (Side note someone should make a proper Christmas film set in the old west.)
Just like westerns, Christmas films have secondary genres, or are secondary genres themselves, depending on how you look at it. While a lot of Christmas movies are also in either the family or fantasy categories, pretty much every genre has been covered as a Christm

The rumors of my demise are false and I have not gone into hiding or as many have speculated, "witness protection", but rather I have been inundated with life.
Before I get into what will likely be walls and walls of text, fancy graphs and information that will likely feel like you are being reeducated like this:

I want to touch on myself and this sub.
I have been lurking in the shadows for quite a while and honestly I've started this DD about 10 different times over the past few weeks and just couldn't find the time to deliver something I would be proud of.
Let's start with this sub - I absolutely love it and the people that have come here to follow the thesis.
With that being said, I stated months ago that I did not want this sub to be about one person - me.
My goal from the beginning was always to educate everyone about the commodity I love so much - steel, but it was more important to create a community of sharing and fellowship.
There are so many other brilliant people that have posted here, many with much more to offer and have done so out of the kindness of their hearts and to help others become more educated and intelligent investors.
Sure, we can have debates and argue "Bull" & "Bear" cases for everything, IT'S ALWAYS BEEN ENCOURAGED.
Echo Chambers benefit no one other than people with big egos.
I have also, ALWAYS said, if you have ideas that will make money, share them!
I love steel, but I love money more.
This sub is only as strong as the fabric of the people that decide to interact and share ideas here.
If you want to complain, please do so in a civil and well thought out manner - always be kind - trust me, you'll feel better for it.
Now, before we take the journey together down the rabbit hole, I wanted to briefly touch on my absence from posting.
As I said, I've been here the entire time watching and there are quite a few people here that I engage with and talk to daily.
When I was posting consistently, there seemed to be a lot of apprehension into "if this play is so good, why do you have to keep reminding us??"
I got a lot of complaints about the constant "pumping".
It was never "pumping" - it was me doing what I do throughout my life and that is committing 100%, actually, over

Overview
After the absurdity and excess of You Only Live Twice, Bond's custodians decided to dial things down a bit for the next installment. (That seems to be a pattern throughout the series, as Moonraker was followed by For Your Eyes Only and Die Another Day was followed by Casino Royale.) The result was On Her Majesty's Secret Service, a more grounded, more spy-centric adventure that adhered closely to the source novel (and, in my opinion, even improved on it). While successful, it didn't come close to the box office heights of its immediate predecessor, however. For many years it was largely written off as a lesser Bond, but posterity has been kind to it, and today it's regarded as one of the finest in the series.
Point-By-Point
Introduction:
So apparently the commissioner of MLB, Rob Manfred thought that pitchers should also be moved around much like batters, like Mike Trout.
However, moving a guy like Ohtani or Cole would be detrimental to those franchises (namely LAA and NYY), so he decided to bestow it on a lesser guy, Tyler Mahle.
The rules are simple β if Tyler loses a game or gets a no decision, then he goes to the opposing team.
To do this I used OOTP 22, without live start.
Our journey starts in Cincinnati. Tyler Mahle is the #2 pitcher in Cincinnati and so will be starting on 4/3. Wainwright will be the starter for the Cardinals that day.
CINCINNATI Stint 1:
Well, Cincinnati started up well, with a win on opening day against St. Louis, under the helm of Luis Castillo. A day off should have allowed Tyler Mahle to rest up and be ready⦠but sadly, this was not the case as he takes his first loss of the season. The SP pitched 4.2 IP and gave up 3 ER in a 7-4 loss to the Cardinals. So he is going to St. Louis.
ST. LOUIS Stint 1:
After a trade from Cincy Mahle had to wait until 4/7 to pitch again. This outing was much better, and he threw 7 scoreless innings en route to a 2-0 win against Milwaukee. He was the player of the game.
His next start would be on 4/14 against the Nationals, as the Cards go to 6-5 at this point. His stint on the Cards continues as he pitches for 7.2 innings, giving up 5 hits and 2 earned runs, allowing his team to score a 5-2 victory over the Nationals.
His third start for the Cardinals would be on 4/20, against the Nationals again. So far the Cardinals have split the season series with them. Well, his team won 7-5 against Washington, but he was not given the win, as he only went 3.2 innings, giving up 5 earned runs. The win went to Bernardo Flores Jr. Off to Washington nowβ¦
WASHINGTON Stint 1:
Now becoming a bit of a journeyman, Mahle set foot in a hotel in Washington, unsure how long he will be with the team. His 1st start with the team would be on 4/27, against the Blue Jays. Will Vlad and co. hammer him?
Well, it wasnβt a hammering, but it certainly wasnβt pleasant. He went 6 innings, giving up 4 runs and lost to the Jays 4-2. Off across the border nowβ¦
TORONTO Stint 1:
After securing a work visa Mahle heads to Toronto to play for the Blue Jays. The Jays arenβt too bad right now: 12-11, and in striking distance of the division lead. His first start with the team would be on 5/3 against the Aβs.
Again, another win for the team, but

Jackson's Final Months And Webster's Inauguration
The election of 1832 was held on November and December of 1832. After Webster's victory became assured, incumbent president Jackson was determined to remain in full control over the war effort during his 'lame duck' period. He largely succeeded, and the war continued without much change.
Andrew Jackson was officially succeeded by Daniel Webster on March 4, 1833. While Webster's cabinet was largely made up of Whigs, he kept on Secretary of War Sam Houston from the Jackson administration in an attempt to appeal to War Democratic-Republicans.

The Siege of Atlanta
Davy Crockett started the siege of Atlanta on October 27th, 1832. He successfully managed to cut off all supply from the city and settled in to wait until the city surrenders. Crockett's second in command, William O. Butler, was sent forward to meet with the navy at the coast of Georgia.
Meanwhile, while Crockett's force had encountered little resistance getting to Georgia, mostly because the Confederacy did not have an organized army there, Colonels Duncan L. Clinch and Richard K. Call had organized one by this time. They soon agreed upon a plan. Call would draw away Butler's troops from south of Atlanta, while Clinch would use that opportunity to get to Atlanta to resupply.
Call did his part successfully, provoking Butler before going east. Butler followed and their forces clashed at the Battle of Lexington. Butler won the battle, forcing Call's troops to retreat. Meanwhile in Atlanta, Clinch managed to sneak a small army through Crockett's encirclement of Atlanta, getting to the city safely, bringing valuable supplies with him. Crockett, realizing Clinch's ploy, called Butler back to Atlanta to contribute to the siege.
Call's men regrouped and now attempted to cut off Crockett's supply lines in northern Georgia. While Crockett considered going after them, he decided that his troops were more important in Atlanta and stayed there. Ultimately, Call would not be very effective in the n

After looking at the map from WH3, I do see a chance of Bohemond participating in the Campaign.
Thus, I came up with how he may be implemented into the game, and what kind of unique experience he will bring up for the bretonnian players.
β» Caution : None of these are official, and keep in mind that this is just an idea of mine. Feel free to express your opinions if needed.
1. Locations, and Settlements
If Bastonne is to be added within the WH3 Campaign map, my guesses are that we would also be getting Skarsnick and maybe Kemmler right above our location.
Just like how we donβt get to see the traditional sub-factions of Bretonnia in the eye of the vortex map, in this campaign, it is likely that Bastonne will be the only faction that would come from the original bretonnian map.
But does this mean that we would not be seeing any other bretonnians? Fear not, they may have settled down on minor settlements with a default name of ββ‘β‘β‘β‘β‘βs errantryβ on locations where CA would consider to be plausible or lorewise. Such as Couronne's Errantry near Norscan lands.

Though since Bastonne is now in the corner of the map, and by the fact that we would not be seeing any other traditional bretonnian factions, I suggest that Bastonne should be a region made out of 1 major, and 2 minor settlements.
β Major Settlement : Bastonne
: The traditional settlement, and the home of our beastslayer. This region would have the landmark option named the βGrand Cathedral of Bastonneβ at tier 4 or 5. As this place serve as a spiritual heart for the kingdom, and by the fact it houses the famed codes of chivalry

You may remember that three years ago, I made this headcanon regarding a nationalized American rail network under the Progressive Party. Since then, I've revised it greatly to make it a bit more realistic.
One thing that doesn't change is that the 2ACW is still averted (I'm mainly going off the Kaiserredux mod here) after George Norris won the 1936 election and righted the boat.
Anywho, let's begin:
With Huey Long and Jack Reed satisfied by a relief bill and William H. Murray, leader of the Old Democratic Party, arrested, President Norris turned to other matters. Chief among them was reviewing the United States Army, namely the debate over doctrine; ultimately, Leslie McNair's reforms involving massed artillery strikes was chosen.
Among Norris' priorities, however, was completely restructuring American society. He termed his reforms "capitalism with socialist characteristics", a fancy way of saying "social democracy". His biggest achievement was abolishing the archaic Electoral College, with all future presidential elections decided by the popular vote. But what usually gets lost among his achievements is the reorganization of the entire government.
One of the lesser examples was renaming the various departments to "administrations". For example, the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) was renamed the "United States Justice Administration" (USJA), the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) was renamed the "United States Agricultural Administration" (USAA, not to be confused with the United Services Automobile Association), and the United States Department of Transportation (DOT) was renamed the "United States Transit Administration" (USTA).
The formation of the USTA coincided with the nationalization of almost all forms of transportation in the United States. Each sub-administration was as follows:
Happy New Years Everyone
Clementine rubbed her eyes vigorously as she found herself waking up. The air seeping through the rotted and peeling window frames sent a small shiver down her spine as she pulled her hands away and stared out at the room. It had been a long time since the Raiders had been defeated. The battle was hard fought, and they did suffer many a casualty, but they did not give into despair and kept on fighting the good fight until they were defeated and retreated.
Every so often Clemβs mind casted itself back to those fateful days which so far at least seemed to be the last days she ever truly needed to fight to survive. The images of all the people who perished thanks to Lilly and her band of merry pricks. Minerva, Sophie (though she only saw Minerva in her mind when she thought of Sophie seeing as they were twins) Mitch, Tenn and even Marlon and Brody for if Lilly had just left them in peace they would all be alive.
Outside in the courtyard the joyful sounds of people conversing, by the sounds of it Louis was already starting his jokes for the day since the next words she heard was Violets.
βUgh, it is way too early to be putting up with youβ.
The bed let out a loud creak as Clementine reached down to grab her prosthetic leg. Sheβs made good use of her birthday present over the coming months since the Delta attack. She didnβt even need crutches anymore to get around the School on and was even able to practice moving at a jogging pace, just in case something happens, and they need to get moving quickly. Clem strapped the leg into place and rose to her feet. She remembered when she first put it on and almost fell over immediately after trying to stand up and look at her now. Standing and walking with confidence.
Clem looked over to the desk next to her bed to see a freshly made cup of coffee. AJ must have made it for her. Clem happily took the mug of warm liquid and gulped down a mouthful. It was still quite hot it must have been made no longer than ten or fifteen minutes ago. Clem walked towards her door to meet the others. The coffee still in her right hand as she walked. The voices had faded away as she exited the room. They would all soon be off to do their daily work. Despite worries from Ruby and Louis, Clem was eager to get back out and work. Sheβd helped them a few times with lesser jobs like fishing and checking the perimeter for Walkers. But she needed to get out and really get herself working.
