A list of puns related to "Kindergartener"
Also itβs gonna really hurt when we get listed and the price doesnβt move or go down which is gonna happen because if you look at the past pumps we always stay stagnant for a week or two then pump back up... If this rollercoaster is too much then sell and let the diamond hands carry this project out
My son is 4-years-old, heβll be 5 in sept. Recently he has become quite fascinated with the nude human body. He asks me several times throughout the day to take my clothes off βbecause I wanna see your bum/boobs!β He wants to take baths together and sleep beside each other naked lol... Iβm not bothered by this at all and Iβm happy that heβs eager to learn about the body, but I just want to know if any other moms/dads are going through this as well with their kindergartener!? Is 4-5y/o the typical age when this curiosity develops?

There's a video circulating of a principal at an elementary school in Florida paddling a kindergartener for damaging a computer monitor even though this type of corporal punishment is legal there and the mother sat behind and filmed it.
I'm in a state that banned this decades ago. Is this still used in the United States?
I received an email today my 6Y's teacher - " Recently, he has begun bragging and purposefully letting others know that he is working on math that is harder. I can see that this is negatively impacting the other students. They feel that they need to prove themselves to him by procuring a statement back like, "Well I am doing____". Or I see theirΒ faces as if they are not smart enough to do the work that he is doing. "
I am at a loss on how to address this. My son has always been a kind friendly boy - he is a single child and gets all attention from us. He is bright and has been placed in the gifted and talented program. How do I teach him humility?
Quick backstory: The Wife and I have been playing Civ 6 for just under a month. This is our first Civ game and we both love it. We have been doing hot seat games in the afternoons (Whoever is not doing their turn is usually doing chores around the house).
Anyways, we have a 6-year-old son who has been watching us play and has been asking questions ("Why did Teddy Roosevelt declare war on you?"). The other day I jokingly said, "You ready to play with us?". To my surprise, he responded with an excited "yes!"
I explained that I was joking and that Civ is a complicated game, there's a lot of reading involved, (Our child can read but only at a 1st-grade reading level) but he was having none of it and kept saying that he wanted to play. At that point, I thought "Oh well, that's another thing he is going to be upset with me about..."
But last night before I fell asleep, I wondered if I could create a game that would be somewhat friendly for a child to play.
My original thoughts were something like:
~ 3 human players: Me, my wife, our son
~ 1 AI set on the easiest difficulty
~ No barbs
~ Small map: not sure what type
~ No disasters
~ 4 City-states
~ Abundant resources
~ No heroes, secret societies, corporations, or zombies
Obviously, my wife or I will need to help the kid during their turn. But I am okay with this since this will not be a serious game. I'm also open to the possibility that he will hate it after a few turns, but I want to give him a decent shot at liking it.
I interested in what you all think. Is there a specific map I should consider? Is there a specific civ I should have my child play?
Any other thoughts or ideas will be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!
I teach preK-5th grade music. This week I returned to teaching in person. I had been working remotely up until now due to a medical condition.
For my remote duties, I had to record a half-hour lesson for each grade level every week and post it for the students to view during their music time at school. I failed to realize that for my kindergarteners, this is the only time they had ever seen me until now.
Yβall, they think Iβm a movie star. When I walked into their rooms for the first time this week, they were all screaming, βI saw you on TV!β One little girl kept bragging to her friends that I walked with her down the hallway. Every day they freak out when I still show up in person, and they squeal in delight after every lesson when I say Iβll be back next week.
Iβm sure the enthusiasm will die down very soon, but it has brought me so much joy. I was very scared to return to in-person teaching. Realizing how stoked the kids are to see me has kept me going during this exhausting week.
Hello guys, I wonder if you can recommend any outdoor science camps for kindergartener that enjoys learning about bugs and plants? Thank you.
Daily I check this page and scroll through all the posts from people who I feel understand my daily frustrations, however I feel like I never have anything to add. BUT THEN, a glorious memory! I had forgotten about the parents that gave their 5 year old alcohol in front of me!!
Parents 1: parents that gave the kid alcohol Parents 2: their other friends who are there with their baby and other kids
Alright so I was working a fairly busy night shift at the pizza place where I serve. Despite covid and our 50% capacity rules (which the managers donβt really even follow) we get PACKED and this was one of those nights. I had been having a rough night in the section I was in. It was only a four table section but I kept getting quiet, difficult, and just plain disrespectful tables one after another. Not to mention Iβm in the section with the dreaded TABLE 32. Table 32 is cursed or something and several of the other servers believe this as well. Iβve never been a superstitious person until this table! It is UNLUCKY. Always food mess ups, mean/crazy customers, shitty tips.
Weβre about halfway through my night shift when I get a seven top at 32 and they look fine from across the dining hall. I get over there, get their drink orders, all of the parents get alcohol and I ID them (Tennessee I have to ID every person who gets alcohol, weβre also in a dry county technically); theyβre from Ohio and definitely unfamiliar with how strict TN is which is made clear later.
Everything is going fine theyβve gotten food orders in and arenβt being the worst. The dudes are just being typical douche bags to me and their wives are somehow impressed by them disrespecting a young woman, can only imagine how they all speak to each other. At one point Iβm checking on my other tables because Iβve kinda gotten tired of them and want some time away from them and their roaming children. As Iβm walking away from my other table Iβm facing them and see the mom move her alcohol across the table very quickly. I didnβt think anything of it at first until I hear it.
βMOMMY! NO! YOU SAID I CAN HAVE ANOTHER SIPβ
Dear god why did have to fucking hear this child scream it in the middle of my section in front of all of my other tables. I didnβt want to deal with this shit but a few other parents from other tables turned in the direction and I fucking had to.
Me: βum Iβm sorry. Did you give your child alcohol?β Parents 1: βyeah he accidentally took a sip not knowing what it was Iβm so sorryβ *i
... keep reading on reddit β‘I'm considering running a 3D design unit for kindergarteners, but don't have any experience doing 3D design with such a young group. I've successfully taught Tinkercad and simple online sculpting tools with 3rd grade classes, and one on one to some second graders, but never below that age.
I'm hoping for a web app that doesn't require an account since the kids are on Chromebooks and account creation requires parent permission. I'm also looking for something that's simple enough for K students to use without requiring a ton of intervention from teachers.
I know this is all a tall order, and I wasn't able to think of anything that fits. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I have been homeschooling my kindergartener this past year. It's been going great. I knew she would need to take the standardized tests at the end of the year (we live in Arkansas where it is required to test to continue homeschooling). I was told you basically just ordered it offline, gave it to them, and sent it back in. My Brother in Law has his 4 year degree and offered to administer it for me because thats a requirement.
My dilemma is that I can't find where to order it. The sites I've found don't have a kindergarten one, but in articles about the testing they say there is a kindergartener one. Does anyone have a link? When is the deadline? And can I also order a practice test?
Hey, guys. I'm π. I wanted to know what my chances are of getting into UofT? I got β gold stars on my last report card, will this hinder my chances of getting into UofT? Are β gold stars enough? Or should I'll be getting more? I'm also a very good drawer and eat all my vegetables. Will UofT take this into account?
Proof of gold stars: ββ
Two days before my 2nd dose of the Pfizer vaccine, I started feeling sick. Got my positive result the same day as my vaccine was scheduled. Honestly, I am sicker than I thought I would be but recognize it could have been a lot worse. The scary part is I haven't had a fever the entire time - so much for temperature checks.
I am super frustrated because I have been unbelievably diligent and safe over the last year. My kindergartener brought it home - they showed no symptoms but we were notified of a positive in their class and had them tested as a precaution.
Looking forward to being over this and the extra protection of getting the 2nd dose eventually. Anyone else stuck being a mom and doing remote learning while coping with covid? I'm wanting to pull my freaking hair out.
I nanny for a 5F and she is in kindergarten but she is having trouble with sight words and her school doesn't teach reading till second grade. I want to help her being to read so she can learn her sight words and be ahead. Her sister 9f attends the same school and is behind in read and in 3rd grade. To avoid this with 5f I want to start her early. What are ways you use with your NK to help them learn reading.
Edit: I've worked with these nk for about a month and was hired to help them with their school work and help them get caught up. Db has expressed his interest in the 5f reading. He wants them to be on track by the end of the year.
Tl;Dr Nk struggle with reading. How do I teach them?
