A list of puns related to "Irish Sea"
A diver.
Long distance views really interest me and I was wondering whether anyone has been able to see both the Irish and North seas from Cross Fell. Viewshed here: https://imgur.com/a/hMSvDSL
Okay so Iβm gonna sound a little weird, but a while back I found a video (multiple videos, even, iirc) of someoneβs pet shrimp (neocaridina shrimp to be specific) eating, set to to Irish music/sea shanties to make it look like theyβre βdancingβ but when I try to search for it to show my partner, all that comes up are videos of the βdancing shrimpβ meme with 3D rendered shrimp (like the kind youβd eat)
Anyone know what Iβm talking about? Thanks in advance!
I just recently made some sea moss gel and at the moment I take vitamins such as Omega 3, vitamin C, Ashwaganda and a multi mineral calcium, magnesium, zinc supplement. I was wondering if since Iβm starting to take Irish Sea moss is it still safe to take some of the minerals that Irish Sea moss has in it separately on top of the Irish Sea moss?
Introduction
I do want to say I am in no way an expert on this topic, and as matter of fact I'd consider myself a novice on the genre in general, despite all the songs I've listened to (as I don't know much about the minutiae of music), in short this is by no means a peer-reviewed study. This will basically be a list of songs with some speculation and explanation thrown in based on the surface level similarities in the variety of folk music I listen to. I was inspired by listening to a bunch of the aforementioned music and seeing how similar the instrumentation is, general concepts are, and how broad the categories of Land Shanty and Sea Shanty are, and this is the best place to voice my thoughts on the matter. I'll be referencing songs by The Longest Johns, Great Big Sea, The Dreadnoughts, The Clancy Brothers + Tommy Makem, The Dubliners, The Foc'sle Singers, Planxty, De Danann All-Stars, Stan Rogers, Ewan MacColl, A.L Lloyd, Pete Seeger, Robin Jeffery, and Gary Shearston (with links to all if you'd like to take a listen). Please let me know your thoughts about what I've typed up and if this is too wide-ranging and doesn't really fit the sub. I'm not aware of any other communities that this would really fit in
Australian Bushranger, Drover, and Shearer Songs (ABD&S Songs) and Irish Folk Tunes/Sea Shanties Influence on Them
ABD&S Songs derive in part from Irish Folk traditions, such as Jim Jones at Botany Bay being sung to the tune of "Irish Molly O" (https://youtu.be/Qkgb1VqFZ7c) or "Skibbereen" (https://youtu.be/Cj4ifPsTe2I). I couldn't find a version of Jim Jones sung to the tune of the former, but here's a version sung to the tune of the latter by Gary Shearston (https://youtu.be/2t7Y5k9OIdg). Another example would be the two versions of "The Wild Colonial Boy", one where it starts off in Ireland (https://youtu.be/j3QJPxiLOPo) and the other where it takes place fully in Australia (https://youtu.be/BsiCOTR8XcY). However, they also take noticeable inspiration from Sea Shanty traditions which A.L Lloyd himself commented on his 1958 LP Across the Western Plains: (https://youtu.be/UXWoaUIptPU you'll see the text referencing that at 33:06 in the video). You'll notice in both Gary Shearston's and A.L Lloyd's ([https://youtu.be/sbJ9UpmBuYI](https://yout
... keep reading on reddit β‘Considering how the British Isles is largely seen as derogatory by the Irish and a name like the Celtic Isles or Atlantic Archipelago is favored as a replacement, should the Irish Sea, similarily being a name which favors one party (Ireland) over another (the United Kingdom) as Ireland is similarily not the only country which borders the Irish Sea?
Where can I happen to find Irish Sea moss in Toronto or GTA? Iβm looking for pure natural Irish sea moss and most importantly good quality.
If you want to clarify you can use the replies
They've got better songs, but this one's got a nice dose of Slayer-ish guitar mixed in.
