I set myself up with the cottage at the top of the hill in Henford-upon-Bagley. Got me a coop and a shed, had a wonderful time, made lots of money selling crops until I was ready to buy the big lot and build a new house to move into.

Moment of truth, I went to the lot and built my dream cottage, got everything sorted, then went to move house. This is where I made my mistake... The animals. I thought "they aren't objects, I'm sure they will come with me." How wrong I was... My beautiful cow, my two full coops of totally happy, max friendship chickens, including two golden chickens... Gone. GONE! When I moved I clicked "sell furniture" because my new home was furnished... Apparently farm animals are furniture 😭😭

RIP Eggie, Mrs Feathers, and Moolissa. You will be missed.

Edit 2: I would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of support, and the wonderful collaboration of ideas. I have successfully retrieved Moolissa and her comrades by going back to an older save (two Sims weeks before!) and progressing with the house move in the correct manner: by moving all of the animals into my inventory by clicking on them each in turn.

A few other problems have been brought up in the comments that I have also experienced and thought I would mention to further share the knowledge of this new and wonderful pack:

1. If you don't collect your animal from the fair before leaving, do not fear! They will appear in your family inventory (that's the build/buy mode one) within a day or two.
2. If you cannot place your cow/llama in the world from an inventory you should click on an empty shed and select "assign to shed..." and it should give you the option of all cows/llamas in your inventories, including those in the world. If it is still being a pain, try buying a new shed and then trying it.
3. Chickens still seem to age when in your personal inventory. I had a golden chick get stuck in my inventory for a while (I forgot it was there) and as soon as I got her back in the real world she died of old age despite being a chick! RIP Goldie Hen.

We had found what was literally our dream home- a 3 bed 2 bath in the perfect neighborhood for the perfect price with a ton of character. Turns out that house sold 6 weeks ago and the listing was never updated or taken down! Ouch! We are in the middle of scrambling to get pre-approved to snag a house that no longer exists and now we are acutely aware of how tired we are of renting. I guess this is what they mean when they tell you not to get your hopes up! I'm excited to be able to take our time now and find another gem, but we are living rural and while the market isnt as crazy here as it is other places, it also means far less houses pop up for sale, especially ones that meet our needs. Any advice or anecdotes? I feel so silly and naive now.

Hi everyone I am pretty new around here. But I really need some advice just because I’m feeling so discouraged with my househunting experience. My husband and I decided to move a little closer to Houston (we live about 30 mins from Houston) to be closer to his parents on the rest of his extended family. We have a young daughter so that kind of support means everything. We put our house on the market and we were able to get an offer for it pretty quickly. The problem is we can’t seem to find a home. Actually, we found many homes and we have made many offers but for some reason none of our offers have been accepted. It always seems like someone showed up with a crazy cash offer or was willing to pay twice the amount of the worth of the house. We are a very simple humble working class family that saved for a long time to be able to purchase a home that we hope may be a slightly bigger than the starter home that we’ve been living in for the past three years. And right now we are looking at closing in our home in two weeks and not having anywhere to go/put our stuff. I never wanted to have to rent at this point in my life but now it looks like that’s our only choice. My heart is like truly breaking and I’ve been crying a lot lately because we can’t seem to find any breakthroughs even when we are offering what people are asking for. Is this happening to a lot of people right now? Is this just happening in Houston or is this happening across the US? Any advice will be really appreciated right now because I’m literally losing sleep and can’t eat because I’m so sick with worry.

Hi, I 23F moved back to my parent's house after my 2 year co habiting relationship with my ex bf 32F because of alot of reasons: Money, Debt, Potential cheating and I decided to go back home to fix my finances and to start again with my life. But I feel like I'm in my comfort zone but I also want progress in my life. I'm just confused - or maybe I'm just really taking time to heal myself

I love my dog, but even I have to admit that she is not a creative Ravenclaw, but a Slytherin through and through.

She is acting big and tuff and picks fights with those much bigger than her, but long as long as I or my other dog is with her or a physical barrier is protecting her.

Her favorite way of problem-solving is 'My mother will hear about it', because whenever she gets a puzzle or something like this and she doesn't immediately get it, she looks at me to solve it for her and even tries to charm me if I don't.

She is barking away and get ready to fight whenever she is afraid of something or doesn't know it.

In her pastime, she sneaks away to our neighbors to steal the toys of their dog.

So yes my dog is a Slytherin and I love her for it, even if I hoped for a Ravenclaw one like my other dog.
