Harry Harrison Puns

When Dexter was age twenty, Harry asked him to kill his first human victim, Nurse Mary, because she was murdering her patients. However, when Harry inadvertently witnessed Dexter dismembering Juan Ryness, another early victim, it disturbed him so much that he committed suicide three days later.

Harrison had a similar reaction to Dexter dismembering Kurt's body. Sure talking about "the code" and then witnessing it being implemented by a giddy Dexter are two different things.

Harrison looked at Dexter smiling like look what I did dad aren't you proud? Dexter didn't like what he was seeing and it showed by his expression. The seen reminded me of Dexter memory of Harry finding him with a victim and the look of horror and disappointment on Harry's face. Dexter was happy to show Harry what he had done but notices the way Harry was looking at him. Its been a while since watching the early seasons so forgive me if I am remembering it wrong.

She knew about Dexter, his rules, his teaching.

Maybe she taught Harrison the same. Maybe she resented Dexter and sent Harrison after him. Would explain why, like Dexter, Harrison is so adept at lying so good at putting on the right face for the public, capable of action but extremely careful about exposing that.

Not like Hannah's never took revenge on Dexter before.

Its been a good 15 years since i read them, a sci fi fan friend was asking for reccomendations and i told him to give it a shot. I think every book is sub 150 pages and because its about a master criminal told in the first person they are nearly impossible to put down. You can smash one in 2 days without even trying. They are pulpy but at the same time inentionally so and very self aware about it. The character knows you're expecting an extra nacho cheesy one liner that would have been perfect in any 80's action movie and they deliver!
