Housesteads Roman Fort is the remains of an auxiliary fort located on Hadrian's Wall. The fort was built in stone around AD 124 soon after construction of the wall began in AD 122.

Games like Fleet:The Dice Game and Hadrianβs Wall
As the title indicates, Iβve only recently found a love for βroll and writeβ type games, with Thatβs pretty clever and cartographers but was wondering if there are any other hidden gems that are slightly deeper that things like Qwixx.
Iβve found it surprisingly tricky to search on BGG (aside from an out of date geek list or two), so coming here for any advice - hopefully there are some options that are still in print!
Thanks in advance!

Oldest door still in use in Rome, at the Pantheon. Cast in bronze for emperor Hadrian's rebuilding, it dates from about 115 AD. Each door is solid bronze 2.3 m wide & 7.5 m high, yet so well balanced they can be pushed or pulled open easily by one person.

Interested in the lore of Elite, and want to be a part of it? Join Nova Navy, the official supporters of Hadrian Augustus Duval and Nova Paresa!
>βNova Imperium survives in the Paresa system, a single light in the darkness.
>We stand for an Empire that respects everyone, from slaves to senators.
>I truly hope that any who value honour and tradition will help keep our spark alive.β
Nova Navy was formed nearly three years ago in response to the purge of January 3305, when supporters of Hadrian Duval were publicly executed and their families arrested across the Empire.
Our goal was to protect Nova Imperium from further attacks and influence the outcome of the storyline. When the Federation invaded with the goal of executing Hadrian, we achieved the first ever Imperial war CG victory over them, defending our home and being acknowledged on GalNet by the developers. And this is simply the crowning achievement out of a long history that has seen Nova Imperium rise above the tragedies and oppression of the past.
We're not done yet.
- Work with other pilots to influence the outcome of galactic events.
- Govern your very own star system with the full support of Nova's fleets.
- Be part of a helpful community and recieve aid and advice on all areas of the game, from combat to exploration to just making money.
We look forward to welcoming you, wherever you come from.

Hadrianβs Wall
Hello happy hikers!
Iβm planning on walking the length of Hadrianβs Wall, starting in Bowness-On-Selway and ending in Wallsend.
I plan on doing it over 3 days to raise money for charity. Iβm an experienced hiker so I believe this is achievable (Iβve walked 40+ miles in a day before over rugged terrain).
As Iβve never walked the wall before I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips or info?
If anyone knows campsites or accommodation at around a 3rd and two 3rds of the way to keep in line with my timing at the end of each day, that would be great!
Thank you!

Harry is a dyed in the wool anarchist who wants nothing to do with the wizarding nobility. Unfortunately for him, heβs Lord Hadrian James Too-Many-Last-Names-Potter and keeps acquiring titles of nobility faster than he can get rid of them.
βCall me Lord Hadrian James Potter-Black-Peverell-Gryffindor again and I will hex you.β

βThe system of wizarding nobility is absurd and needs to be abolished.β
βHow can you say that Lord Potter?β
βGenerally I just open my mouth and make sounds come out that people hear as words.β

Propaganda on Coins - REX PARTHIS DATVM sestertius of Trajan showing the emperor (seated) presenting Parthamaspates (standing) to the subjugated Parthia (kneeling). Minted 117 AD, shortly before Trajan's death. Parthamaspates was quickly deposed following withdrawal of Roman forces under Hadrian.

Dialogue between the Emperor Hadrian and Epictetus the Philosopher
https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Dialogue_between_the_Emperor_Hadrian_and_Epictetus_the_Philosopher
The Altercatio Hadriani Augusti et Epicteti Philosophi is an anonymous treatise composed in the 2nd or 3rd century. It contains 65 questions supposedly posed by Hadrian and answered by the Stoic philosopher Epictetus. It is a Latin text, and survives in many medieval manuscripts with many variations. This English translation appeared in The Knickerbocker (a literary magazine) in August 1857.
Most of this text seems a bit bizarre but I thought this was quite funny in a Stoic sense:
>Hadrian. What is man?
>Epictetus. He is like an apple! which hangs on the tree until it is ripe; just our bodies fall when mature! more often while green!
>Hadrian. What is man?
>Epictetus. He is like a lamp or candle set in the wind!
>Hadrian. What is man?
>Epictetus. He is a guest; a lawful dream; a calamity-tale; Death's real estate; Life's delay; a thing which Fortune makes jokes of!

What was it like for the very last soldiers on Hadrianβs Wall before abandonment?
I try to play the scenario in my mind like an extremely long wall thatβs barren with exception of a couple lads just kind of sauntering up and down the battlements praying no savage, blood-thirsty barbarians come-a-climbing.
What would it have been like in reality, so close to the last time there was a manned presence (I basically read this to be around the year 410). I imagine these dudes hadnβt been βpaidβ in years, by this point.
But the balls and loyalty they must have had. Incredible.

Why do nost indy!Harry, Powerful!Harry and OP!Harry stories presume Harry's name to be a short for Hadrian?
Why Hadrian?
Is that necessary?
If we're working on the premise that Harry is short affectionate nickname, then why Hadrian? Why not some thing more sensational? Like Harambe?
